If they had someone nice and cheerful taking orders and welcoming people, the place would be packed every day. Unfortunately, the sullen, order-taking man troll keeps them away with his angry stares. His constant, hostile undercurrent of seething hatred for his job while you are eating in the tiny, surf-shack environment is reason enough to avoid this place entirely.

Their beans smell like ripe b.o. Coming from California, I know beans dont smell like that. I think Guadalajara Taco Shop across the street is better in every way, but still not comparable to the Mexican food in Madera, California.

Food was great, as was customer service. I just wish the seating was a little more comfortable. We sat in a booth, and the table was too far away if you wanted back support. Next time well sit at a table with chairs instead.

The food was not as good as it was hyped up to be, but it was still good. Not a bad place to go for a burrito or some tacos. Also, we were able to use their free WiFi. One caveat - cash only. No credit cards are accepted.

After two marginal meals in Seaside, we walked across the street to find The Stand. Delicious, fresh, food served with down home hospitality. Good stop for vegetarians. No lard used in cooking AND many veg. options.

I would want too smack anyone that disses the stand. You dont get no better than that. And them family that runs it are good people that take pride in there business. Let it be known T.D. said that.

I cant tell you how many people Ive told about this place!! We come to Seaside every summer for a week and usually eat there 4-5 times for lunch or dinner. Please open a restaurant in Portland

The Stand sets the bar for me in terms of Mexican food. Consistent and delicious. My favorite thing to order is a combo burrito with Mole sauce.
