My girlfriend and I were staying at the warfmasters in next door and decided to go eat here, big mistake! Ordered the over priced $25 tri tip which was super small and way over cooked. All I tasted was char from the grill so sent it back. The service was bad and the waitress finally came by 20 min after getting the food and asked if I wanted something else but at that point my girlfriend was done so got the clam chowder to go which is very good. Then once I got the bill they only took off $3 from the bill which I was not going to tolerate so made them remove it which was a big hassle and took forever. Also they started cleaning the table off and took away my to go silverware and bread that went with my clam chowder. Had to go ask for a bag to put it all in which was also too small. Basically never going here again and wish the pizza place underneath was open, smelled amazing!

Twenty of us adults & one child experienced great service both prior to our meal and during. Half of our group arrived early by enjoying the patio area overlooking the pier then the rest of us upon our arrival were immediately asked if beverages were in order prior to our meal. We were all able to catch up after our day of visiting the Pt. Arena lighthouse. Then our meal came and as each one received there selection it was within seconds after the first bits the comments never stopped about how great the food was. The waitress Lasie was outstanding catering to each one of us as if we were VIPs the great views, excellent service and a very caring staff made this visit the best I just wished we lived closer. The beginning of this reservation to the end was all but caring and handled professionally. The owner Tracy deserves a A+ for making this such a wonderful experience.

Dirty water glasses.. room temp beer. Service iffy, over all good attitude. Food took for-EVER and we were the 3rd table there. Ordered clam chowder bread bowl received a bowl instead then sent back for a bread bowl and received that in much less volume for more $. Ordered cod tacos, was not cod/bland also ordered BBQ tri tip sandwich, received it with no sauce on the bread plain and had to pull the meat out in order to even eat it. Then the last order was a appetizer combo with crab cakes, calamari and coconut shrimp all very bland and cold. Drinks-sucked Food-cold, bland, boring Service- wasnt asked about our food Paid 100$ for 3 meals and 4 beers and chowder. Its a chowder house and chowder isnt a main staple and there were no specials. One chowder wasnt available and out of all pasta dishes at 3pm Never again.

No wait person on arrival with 4 tired adults and a 2year old found. We literally walked the entire place and finally found her...she was visiting with the bartender. She took order then....forgot us? Everyone else was served...2.5 hr wait for food with a toddler waiting as well. Finally we got our food.. toddler given pasta full long noodles. Milk was sour...yuck... Finally found waitress who was in the bar visiting...no apology ....when we finally found her in the bar again, she got our bill.and added"took off a dollar" for the milk. Busboy delivered beers and checks ( to other patrons)..can they in CA? He was pleasant. WArning go at your own peril...

Slow service, over priced food, tiny portions. There was only one server, but the large dining room was packed. She was friendly, but not attentive. It took an hour to get our food, but no one talked to us in that time, offered us bread while we waited or even asked us if we wanted another drink or more water. The $25 tri tip was a tiny portion and they had run out of mashed potatoes. The vegetables were frozen, not fresh, and were unseasoned. By the time we got our food, I was too hangry to enjoy it... Not that it was any good. I wish wed left and eaten crap from the vending machine at our hotel.

Super quaint and friendly place in a magical spot with a superb view. But what I was not expecting was the diverse amount of local and craft beers on draft and the superb menu with generous portions. My group had fried calamari, muscles, fish tacos, and the clam chowder. Everything was fresh and home-made and you could tell it was made with love. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful even though it was extremely busy that night. We had excellent service excellent food and a terrific value for the prices . If you pair that with the Fantastic view from a protected Cove then you cant go wrong

The people who run the pier are some of the most gracious and wonderful human beings alive. I intended to do a wedding reception at their restaurant and not only were they incredible about answering questions, they drew up several menus. In the end, the wedding didnt end up happening, but their service the whole way was amazing. If you seek good clam chowder, this is the place for you. All their servers are incredible and they make you feel at home. Eight million thumbs up for their patient treatment of my wedding and the service they provided throughout the entire process.

This place is popular with the out of town crowd. You get the feeling that locals dont come here. That being said, the food here isnt bad, its actually delicious, but the interior is plain and the setting is simple. There is no view from this restaurant and you arent right up next to the ocean. The clam chowder in a bread bowl is the most popular dish, and I understand why, it was quite good and came out quickly. If you want to hang with the tourist crowd, definitely visit here. If you are looking to mix with the locals, keep looking.

Good choice of beer, arrived for prime rib, i like mine rare, all of it, VERY overdone and it was the dinner hour, so no excuses. Ordered the Manila clams that were packed with sand and bacon was over the top. Sent it back. Ordered a baked potato. I was too hungry to send that back so I just ate its palid, steamed yuckiness. I have eaten here a lot of times. The food remains inconsistent and pricey but the view is great. I will go to Uneda Eats or the Bird Cafe next time.

I had the new England clam chowder bread bowl... It tastes more like potato soup. I definitely could have gone without them deep frying the center cut outs of the bread bowl as well. beside the horrible food, I had to deal with a waitress in a terrible mood and extremely slow service. I highly recommend not sitting outside unless youre looking to be left alone.

The service was horrible. We had to ask for menus after waiting at a table for 10 minutes. The clam chowder took 30 more, but the water took a full hour and three attempts. The spoon for the clam chowder came soon thereafter, after I had to go to the kitchen door and ask since nobody seemed to care. Avoid this place like the plague!

Asked if we could sit outside, waited 10 minutes no one came, went back inside to see if they forgot about us noticed people who arrived after us getting water and menus waited 5 more minutes at our dirty table then left the view was nice and the the 12 year old host was friendly enough...thats why I gave them a second star
