My girlfriend loves this place because its right next to the A train and the drinks are fairly inexpensive. The first time she dragged me in there I didnt really care for it; It was crowded and I had the worst Guinness pint of my life. The second time I enjoyed it immensely more. We were looking for a place to watch the US vs Portugal game and everything was slammed. We ended up walking 20 minutes just to come here and it was a good decision, they have at least 6 TVs and plenty of open seats at the bar. The bartender Kat was friendly enough and we had no trouble getting drinks and shots. I stuck to bottled beer this time and it was a much better decision. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger w/ fries which at $7 was a steal. It was a large burger with 2 strips of bacon and a ton of fries. The burger was very good for a dive like this and amazing for only being $7. We stuck around for a little while after the game and had a few more beers and listened to the assortment of music coming from the jukebox. Theres a small bumper shuffleboard game there as well which is a lot of fun. I think I see why my girlfriend likes this place so much and Im starting to come around.

Terrible experience! is a no go! They treat people really bad here, you ask for a drink & they dont know how to pour it. On top of that, the -woman- in the bar is SO rude. I understand dive pubs are expected to be cheap and dirty. But womens bathrooms have no soap, paper everywhere in the floor and water - mud and more... We had chicken wings, beers and tried to play but we were not allowed. We gave a very generous tip, my boss is from Sweden and he didnt know how much to give. He wanted the diving pub experience but non of us will go back here. They should close this bar, please mind where you go! AVOID IT. The bar in the hotel (AOA) across the street is even cheaper, and way better! We continued the party over here.

Went there to have some drinks with a few friends last night. Was enjoying the beer, and the atmosphere, but the bartender managed to ruin that rather quickly. The entire time we were there, we were barraged with curt and rude judgement about were we could sit, what we could order, and how we were allowed to play the shuffleboard; each time ending with the ultimatum "If you dont do it my way, Ill kick you out!" I appreciate, that as a bartender in NYC you have to deal with some difficult and intoxicated people, but there was no reason for this mans parental tirade at four adults barely into their first pint. Drinks are cheap, food is good, and a great pub atmosphere, but doubt I will go back to "Nancy Whiskey Pub".

Best bar I have been in since they closed the Oar House in Santa Monica, CA in the early 1970"s. $9.50 double shots that cost $26 across the street. Fun people and good music. Frankie thanks for that last shot of Irish Whiskey. PS 5/6/2012 I go into this bar every time I am in NYC and always have fun. Good lunch menu, fairly inexpensive for NYC, and plenty of food. Great drinks, I think the second, third or fourth one? in on the house. As well, I am not just trying to sell this place. I make it to NYC about three times a year, fun place to go. Place opened in 1967 and I think they are playing the same music. Plus there is a police station on the Blue Line subway about twenty steps below. No fear of crime.

We loved this bar. Frank the bartender has a lot of history. You have to know how to deal with all types of people. We got to know frank, he is a real NYer with huge character. If you are looking for a fancy foo-goo bar, this is not he place. If you like a bar with good character and a real N.Y. city feel, you will love this place. Frank is real and a funny brash bartender, just what we were looking for. It is authentic old-school neighborhood bar. We love the f-bomb greeting ajd the character of the place. Check your opinions and expectations at the curb. Come on and enjoy a no-frills drink. Be patient, relax and unwind... cant wait to see you again tomorrow, Frank ..

Ambiance: This is a definition of a dive bar. I absolutely love it here. They have a shuffleboard table that can get a little packed so just be careful. Food/Drinks: The bar has a decent food menu where they office your traditional bar food choices. The bar offers a great choice of draft beers. Service: The bartenders are super friendly and very very quick in getting you the drinks. I been here a couple of times and the last time we reserved the area upstairs for a party and the bartender was so quick in going up and down and getting our drinks. Price: Very very cheap. Love it. Would I go back: Absolutely yes.

My first time here in all my years! A pub in the edge of Soho right near the A, C, E trains. $6 dollar brews and reasonable drinks. Couldnt be a better find! I remember this place from a long while back. Never stopped in until tonight. Its refreshing and a joy to still see this place alive and kicking. Since all these older places are closing, dying out. A place like this makes me extremely happy. It also makes me feel good about how I can still remember the good spots. Hail the dive bar! It will never die yall! If youre in the area you have to stop in and have a drink! Trust me!

When you are just not feeling a fancy cocktail, this is pretty much the only destination worth hitting in TriBeCa. Lovably scruff, the pub also has New Yorks only bounce shuffleboard table. Dont let the old dudes who hang out there during the day rope you in - they are all pros. Instead, play with the younger crowds who fill the space at night. Yes, they have food - if youre feeling onion rings straight from the freezer you could do a lot worse.

Well, the Bar is ok and the location would be great to hang out, but thats about it. The service depends on who the Bartender is, Kate is a cool Bartender and 5-Stars for her. But one time another girl, simple was very rude and refused to serve me. On my attempt to order something, she simple told me to leave as she was busy with 5 other customers in the Bar. Thats kind of a No-Go !

Le Dive bar parfait pour déjeuner un midi ou boire un verre en écoutant de la super musique. Les burgers sont délicieux et léquipe très sympa. La Brooklyn Lager y coule à flot.

I was really looking forward to this place from the reviews and probably if the bartender that was there to start had not been leaving right after we got there than it would have been better. The next bartender had no personality and was on her phone the majority of the time. Its definitely a local no frills bar which is what we like so maybe we will give it another go.
