A truly amazing place. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a very enthousiastic and daper French man (I think his name was Luis but I assume since he is French that it is actually Louis). We then met Daniel, our server, who is also one of the owners. He guided us through a traditional french menu that tasted beyond what we expected (its also very different from other french restaurant in downtown New York) I had a veal blanquette (Veal served in a creamy mustard sauce with mushrooms and carrots) that was neither too heavy nor too light and very tasty! The perfect match for the cold weather. My wife had the roast chicken, served with lemon potato dumplings and a salad. I couldnt resist stealing a few bites when she looked away ;). The chickens skin was crispy and the meat very moist and tender. The acidity from the lemon potato dumplings made it a great combination of flavors. Daniel told us that their chickens came from a small amish farm that he personally selected, and you can taste the difference. The wine list, although quite small, is very affordable (we had two glasses of Cote du Rhones for $22) I only tried one cocktail, The Mimi, who was tequila based and very refreshing. My girlfriend had a negroni that was unsually good (I dont like negronis and this one tasted very different from the ones you have in your traditional cocktail bar). We did not save room for deserts so we are definitely coming back to try them! (I have my eyes on an Armagnac based Creme Brûlé). Either way, Mimi is a very small and intimate restaurant that makes you feel special. Definitely worth every penny. Best, Arthur

Seven dollar sandwiches, worth every bite! Almost all of them are great, except for the egg salad ones. They leave much to be desired. I like that they take avocado as seriously as I do, and all their sandwiches (with the exception of the wraps and french bread sandwiches) are on multi-grain, or some bread that has seeds and whatnot in it. Very tasty. I always like to have the Yoga Bunny detox drink. Ill get it if I have $10 to spare, because that along with my sandwich runs me $9. But like I said, the food is worth every penny, especially when you ponder paying $6 + for a mediocre sandwich from a corner deli. PS - You MUST try the hummus salad sandwich and the yogurt with pureed strawberries and rhubarb. So delicious. I swear, these people see me every morning and lunchtime. And they still love me....

The décor is very chic. We ordered the steamed mussels and veal tartare for appetizers. Both were savory delights. For the entree we chose roast chicken and potato dumplings, skate amandine with almonds and bavette steak with anchovy and bone marrow. All three dishes were delicious. We ended our meal with a heavenly chocolate torte. The dishes were all cooked to perfection. The chef has designed a unique menu that will appeal to everyone. The bar is well stocked and the bartender and servers are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this charming new Soho restaurant.

Delicious, original menu in a cozy welcoming environment. The mussels are a must-have, as well as the pork sirloin with celeriac slaw. But my personal favorite was the Madai with lemon curd and brown butter, truly fantastic. The wine list is impressive and the cocktails are creative. Even if youre only here for a drink, the desserts are worth the indulgence. My personal favorite is the black chocolate cake, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

We had a delicious meal here, among friends. The seating is "shotgun" style - narrow space - and tables are very close together (to the point that the server has to pull the table out so that people can get in and out). Staff was friendly, and unpretentious. Menu was pricey - but it was a special occasion - so it was worth it.

Ah MIMI, you made me in love of your fabulous dishes. Had the pork belly and was an amazing balance of flavors and textures. Savory and sweet; crunchy and chewy. Intimate, small restaurant with a good attention to detail. Small portions but comes with a big taste.

The daily hand selected menu always contains succulent treats. While the bar pumps out original and nostalgic cocktails for the chic crowd of 20 something year olds from New Yorks art, fashion, music, and food scenes. Love it baby!

New team running the kitchen in the last 6-8 months and Ive been super impressed. Really creative and unique + great wine list from great French producers. Also - brunch is awesome. Wont find a better omelet in NYC.

Really nice people with owners paying close attention to be sure everything is as it should be. Restaurant is too small ("cozy") for us. Surely a good choice for neighborhood people but not worth the trip from uptown

Favorite restaurant Ive been to in years. Food was amazing, wine pours were generous, service was perfect. If you need a top quality restaurant with a small intimate setting, this place is perfect.

It took over an hour to get an entree dish. Small portion. Very overpriced for a mediocre taste. I dont understand all the good reviews. It was very disappointing overall. Not returning.
