I had a VERY poor experience with Donuttery. I found an image of mini donuts on Donutterys website and requested an order mimicing the elegant designs represented in that image, with a slight variation in color scheme. I was mortified when I got my acthal donuts. They looked nothing like the donuts in that original image, which were beautiful, artistically crafted donuts with unique sprinkles thoughtfully and generously placed -- something you would proudly showcase at a high-end event like a wedding or bridal shower. Instead, I received donuts that looked like a kid decorated them, with sprinkles carelessly and sparsely placed. I was embarrassed to present them at my party. But since I paid $90 for 4 dozen MINI donuts, I felt obligated to serve them. I just didnt feature them like I originally intended. After the event, I wrote a note to the owner Evan and expressed my extreme disappointment. I didnt ask for my money back or a discount for a future order. I wanted to let the owner know about my experience and see if he had an explanation. Evan wrote back defensively refuting my claims and stated that the donuts I received were very similar to the donuts in the original image. Ive posted the pictures here to show you what I mean by a variance of quality. I even polled my friends and colleagues and they unanimously said there was a big difference in quality -- like night and day. You would never believe they were made by the same company. I want future customers to be aware of what they can expect if they order with Donuttery in NY. It is my strong recommendation to stay away from doing business with Donuttery NY. PS. To help put into proper context as to why I did not make a complaint at the point of pick up: My friend helped me pick up the donuts while I was setting up for my daughters birthday party. By the time I saw the donuts, the party was about to start so I did NOT have time to make a fuss until afterwards. Evan knows this but insisted to put the wrong on me in his comment below....unbelievable!

After an initially poor experience, I decided to give Doughnuttery another chance and placed an order through Caviar. I appreciated the thorough response that I received after my first experience, and made sure I ordered further in advance this time. This time, the staff called me to say theyve received the order and would have it ready in time, and they were very pleasant over the phone. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I actually ended up receiving the order. When other reviewers commented that these are tiny donuts, I didnt think much of it. But when I received my order I realized just how accurate that was. The donuts are REALLY SMALL - like the size of a pretzel nugget you would get at a pretzel stand. I ordered 50 of them, and they all fit in 2 boxes that are about 4 inches by 4 inches each. At about $1 a donut, thats really disappointing. When I asked my colleagues how they tasted, the response was simply "meh, theyre alright"... Unfortunately, this is definitely my last order. Its a mediocre product at a ridiculous price point.

Nothing reallt special. We got vanilla glazed which was bland and strawberry which had a unique flavor we liked. Expected the actual doughnuts to melt in my mouth at those prices. They were okay but not any better than homemade ones we can get at the local farmers market at home. I would have given 4 stars but the staff was rude. 3 people with no customers and acted like my son was bothering them asking the soda prices. Especially the cashier. Compared to the extremely busy servers nearby at the Creamline (farm to table shakes and sandwiches - fantastic burgers) who were super friendly and nice. Hire nicer servers who make people want to come back to try other flavors. The strawberry was intriguing enough that i would be curious enough to try others if it werent for the bitchy cashier. No thanks

Doughnuttery is located in a small corner of Chelsea Market, but if it were up to me, thered be one in every neighborhood in NYC! Here youll find delicious hot and fresh miniature doughnuts which can be coated with a selection of crazy sugars. For my first trip, I just wanted to snack on something so I ordered a half dozen - 3 coated with Cacaoboy (cacao, sea salt, and black sugar) and 3 with PBCP (Peanut butter, cayenne, and pretzel). They were out of this world! The blend of flavors were something new to my pallet and I know Doughnuttery will be a staple for any trip I make to Chelsea Market in the future. Heres a tip: Try ordering 2 or more complementary flavors and then mix them yourself!

Dogs arent a mans best friend. Donuts are. Diamonds arent a girls best friend. Donuts are. More specifically, the Doughnuttery donuts are what its all about. I might be biased because Im currently demolishing an entire box of these tiny pieces of heaven, but Im pretty sure anyone else whos had it will agree. You get to watch the employees make them right in front of your eyes and shake up different flavors for you. I LOVE the cardamom and paris lavender...but Im definitely headed back their soon to try the rest of their flavors. Theyre only like 2 inches big, so its okay that Im eating a dozen right?

This is a fun treat, because you get to see how the doughnuts are made with a cute little conveyor belt. The doughnuts come in fun flavors, and theyre small enough that you can buy a bag, share it, try different flavors, and not feel like you overate. This great fun for kids, and adults wont mind it either. 4 stars instead of 5 because at the end of the day the doughnuttery is more about novelty than quality. All other things being equal, Id rather be eating a quality cider doughnut somewhere that does doughnuts right, without the bells and whistles.

Im obsessed with donuts right now, especially unique ones. Located in Chelsea Market and Madison Square Eats (until October 5th), the Doughnuttery offers up mini donuts sprinkled with unique flavored sugars, such as Purple Pig which contains maple, purple potatoes, and bacon. They also have classic sugared doughnuts for the non-adventurous people out there. You can also get dipping sauces to accompany your sprinkled friends. Theres raspberry balsamic, beer caramel, deep dark chocolate, nutella, or dulce de leche. Yummmy.

Doughnuttery serves adorably small and delightfully fresh from the frier doughnuts. Portions come by the half or whole dozen, which can easily be devoured in a blink by a couple of eager eaters. We tried the classics: vanilla glaze, powdered sugar, and cinnamon sugar. All delicious, though the cinnamon sugar was my favorite (odd for this glaze aficionado). Service is helpful and nice. Their space is one of the smaller stalls toward the back of Chelsea Market. Definitely worth seeking out for an indulgent snack.

Dangerously delicious bite sized goodies. Its bizarrely hypnotic just to watch that small contraption by the counter making those cute little donuts. There are plenty of seasoning to choose from. I went with purple pig (maple and bacon) and Paris time (lavender). Both are fun to eat, though Im partial to Paris time (purple pig flavor strangely resembled that of a corned dog). At $1 a pop, it isnt the cheapest snack, but it sure is fun to eat! Tip: ask for those freshly made donuts. They taste far better!
