This was the worst meal I have had in NYC for many years. The crab, avocado and grapefruit starter was below average but edible and whatever. Dont know who wants huge chunks of grapefruit with crab .... said on the menu grapefruit vinegarette. However when the main course arrived the problem started. I asked for the salmon dish to be cooked medium when they enquired how I like my salmon. But when it arrived and after eating the thin parts I realized that it was completely raw/rare in the middle. I told the waitress and they took it back to fix the problem. A few minutes later they brought me back the same piece of fish cooked a little more but still rare sitting on top of the same half-eaten sides I sent back. So I sent it back again and this time the manager told me dont worry they are making me a new one. Five minutes later the plate comes out the kitchen containing the same piece of fish sitting on the same sides now looking like cat food and reheated for the 3rd time... by this point I had some stern words with the manager, it was taken back to the kitchen again and I was told a new one was coming out in a few minutes. 15 minutes later a newly prepared salmon dish arrives and yet again it was raw in the middle.... in the end after our complaints they never charged for any of the food. That said I will never come back to this restaurant and I cant believe Keith McNally is involved in this place.

We eat out 3 or 4 nights a week in Manhattan...I can honestly say that dinner this evening at Keith McNallys Augustine was the worst in recent memory...waited 45 minutes at the table for a server to take the order and one us had to get up to find her to make it happen...hamachi appetizer was fishy...heirloom tomatoes were not ripe...3 out of the 4 entrees were delivered to the table and then taken away until the fourth was ready...causing the fish to be dry...the steaks barely luke warm...over pour compensation on the wine...a shameful attempt at better dining...and they call themselves haute french...no thank you...never again. #keithmcnally #augustine #augustinenyc #nyc #foodie

Its everything they said about it and more! As a fervent follower of all things Keith McNally, I was very eager to experience Augustine. It was an exceptional experience! The dishes we ordered were absolutely divine - roasted marrow bones, steak tartar, whiskey burger, leg of lamb - all highly recommended. The steaks and other menu items all looked phenomenal as well. Lastly, the experience was truly elevated in no small part due to our servers exceptional knowledge of the ingredients and menu, as well as her affable and non-intrusive attitude. This restaurant is officially being added to my "cone back again" list.

the asian bloody mary is gross. asian spices, raspberry puree, and tequila. didnt sound like a good mix, but i put my trust in the drink program at augustine. should stuck with my original instinct. the maitred was outstanding. our server was MIA. had the urchin, crab, and spaghetti dish, it was uneventful. my urchin was bitter. my wife had the ricotta pancakes, which she enjoyed but found no evidence of ricotta in or on the dish to bother too mention. been there done that kinda place for me. the bar and lounge next door is extraordinary.

We went here for our anniversary. There is a beautiful room and comfortable tables. The food was just so-so. We started with the Souffle au Fromage - it was ok but calling it a cheese souffle is a misnomer since the overpowering flavor of the dish is horseradish. The entrees were also just OK. We didnt even bother staying for dessert - instead leaving and going somewhere else. For what we paid it wasnt worth it.

Kieth McNally knows how to set the stage and Augustine, in the brand new and beautiful Beekman, follows in the footsteps of Balthazar with its cozy, yet luxurious feel. The service is top notch, the crowd is lively, and the wine list is surprisingly affordable. The food is what it should be - comforting and consistent.

I had an early reservation so the place was quiet, but it quickly became very busy. The crowd wasnt any problem. Great ambiance, service, and excellent food and wine. $$$$, but if you can afford it, its worth the experience. I recommend it.

Horrible service. Youd expect much much more from a place that touts such a high . I used to have a lot of respect for this place because of the main chef, but the service is just too awful to consider going here again.

The food was not near as good as Balthazar and it was a long trek to get there...even from Soho. We had top tier dinners at Le CouCou and Uncle Boons during our trip and would highly recommend them.

Where to start? The tasting menu was so extraordinary that I cannot stop thinking about it. The different flavors, textures, presentation and more was truly memorable. I hope to return very soon,

A solid addition to the area with all the trimmings youd expect from a crowd-pleasing Keith McNally number. Enjoyed the cheese soufflé horseradish bomb here.

Forget about getting a table. Food is ok but the whole experience is overshadowed by the place being just too busy.
