Simply the best Chinese food I can remember. Eight is more broadly an "Asian" food restaurant but we wanted Chinese food so we asked them for a list of their Chinese dishes. They have many to chose from. The selection we ordered top the quality of any Chinese restaurant Ive eaten in throughout the Bay Area. Ingredients were fresh, preparations were healthy, sauces delicious and presentation beautiful without being overdone. I am very picky about the use of rancid oil, off-flavored meat, chemicals and bottled sauces, and I detected none - this is a refreshing change from all of the Chinese restaurants Ive eaten at in recent years. Plus, the decor in this restaurant is a work of art and everything from the kitchen to the bathroom is impeccably clean, again the stand out compared to all other Chinese restaurants in my experience. The service was also a delight as it was efficient, personal and gracious.

Almost 4 years ago, we moved here from SF. Since I am of Shanghainese ethnicity but born and raised in Germany, its been hard for me to find truly authentic Chinese cuisine from any Chinese province locally. However, Eight really does a great job in providing the Chinese food fix that I get more often than not! They use modern methods and great local ingredients to take the cuisine to the next level. Theres something for everyone as they have an extensive menu of traditional Chinese dishes along with an Asian California fusion menu. They also have a great deck area where we had our wedding reception dinner so were so glad that they are in Sebastopol!

Great authentic Chinese food! The owners are from Canton and make everything homemade!! The wontons & potstickers are the best Ive ever had!! I love this place and will continue to keep coming back!

I really enjoy the dishes at Eight. I eat a vegan diet and really enjoy the choices including fresh spring rolls and firecracker tofu. Great for dining in or take out!
