I have been eating lunch and dinner here for years. The food is authentic and very good. The staff is welcoming and very courteous. They are also very accommodating and will fix curried chicken for you if you ask. I have tried Chinese restaurants all around the area and this is my favorite. Would also highly recommend the singapore chow mai rice noodles. I like them spicy which is a little warm but not at all close to thai hot.

My boyfriend almost refused to try it because of the location, but after reading the awesome reviews, he agreed to go. We were not disappointed! All very friendly and authentic. Food was great and flavorful and even had plenty to take home for later! Only suggestion would be a combination plate of some kind but thats only my personal preference. Will come back for sure!

What a surprise! Located in a dingy strip mall, this place really surprised us. Clean and inviting, the food was even better. None of the overly greasy, gravied typical of Americanized Chinese food, this stuff tasted fresh, was served warm, and was delicious. Id go back again. Oh yeah, inexpensive: for 4 adults and 3 kids it was only $65.

Excellent food that is fresh and tasty, served in huge portions, with good pricing and many selections from which to choose. A real standout. If youre anywhere in the vicinity and have even a hint of getting some Asian eats, go straight here. You wont regret it. I cant wait for another opportunity to return.

By far the best chinese restaurant in the area for the price. Food is anywhere from $9 to $12 but you get a huge portion; enough for two people or lunch the next day. It tastes great; cashew nut chicken is the best here! They are super friendly and awesome service. We always return.

This place is great and should be in more than a tiny strip mall. I wish they had small meal or lunch specials. Also their fried rice is basically white rice cooked slightly different rather than the normal Chinese fried rice. Their sweet and sour chicken melts in your mouth!

Popped in for a bite while having vehicle serviced at Midas and was not expecting much given the drab appearance. WELL I WAS WRONG! I had the sesame chicken and it was FABULOUS. I will be going there again today for the same tasty stuff. Yummy Yummy, get in my tummy!

Best Chinese food weve found in the area by far, and usually great service. On a bad day youll have to settle for good service that would put fast food places to shame. The decor could use a bit of help, but isnt scary bad or anything, just not fresh and vibrant.

I eat here all the time. I actually just ordered take out for lunch today. My favourite is the sesame chicken, so good, and their green beans are delicious. Honestly I have tried a lot of their dishes and they are all very tasty. I highly recommend eating here.

Very quick service. The lemon chicken and the house fried rice were great, the General Tsos was not quite as good. There was way too much soy sauce. I attribute this to just an off night for the cook as we have had it here before and it is usually very good.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Vancouver, which is not saying much, BUT theyre consistently good. My family likes their sweet & sour chicken and pot stickers, I like their orange beef, paper wrapped chicken, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mien.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. Strip mall location. Minimally decorated but service is fast and efficient. Food is well prepared. Nice menu variety without being too long. Lunch specials are good and costs less than a burger combo at Carls Jr.

Had the sweet and sour chicken. It was so crispy and good. They do add a few bits of pineapple and bell pepper but next time I go in I will ask for more veggies. Also had the paper wrapped chicken which was good. The service was friendly and prompt.

I cant say anough about Golden City. The management, workers and the food iteslf are all too good for words. I travel for a living and have eaten at many places in NYC, San Fran, LA and many more. Golden City ranks number 1 in my book.

Clean and organized dining room. Quick, kind service and decent pricing. Best egg drop soup and fair food presentation. Chinese places are so hit or miss and this place is a hit. Would drive from SE Portland again. food presentation

Came because I heard it was great food with great portions, left with sub-par box of Lo Mein about the size of a coffee mug for $9 and change, Im going to another place to eat right now, not full. Maybe there was a mixup, but blah.

These people are always friendly, remember our family and the food is fantastic! We moved away from the area a couple of years ago but are moving back and cant wait to make this place our regular go-to Chinese restaurant again!

Great service, great food and excellent value! Dont let the location fool you (a little strip mall)! And its consistent - the true test! If youre hungry for Asian food, forget everywhere else and give this place a try! :)

Ordering take-out from this restaurant is our Valentines Day tradition. We love their spring rolls, sesame beef, and orange chicken. So delicious! The restaurant isnt much to look at, but the food is great.

This place was recommended to us by some friends. Its definitely not a bad Chinese food place if you are looking for something thats cheap and filling. But the food is very greasy and lack of creativity.

The food was amazing. I seriously have never had as flavorful Chinese food. It is a family style restaurant so each meal is meant for 2 to 3 people. I will definitely be going back with friends.

I have eaten at many other Chinese Restaurants in the metro area and by far this place put the rest to shame. The service is great and the staff are very nice and attentive. It is worth the trip.

So - it is in a strip mall in the Couve. But it is really awesome. I have been looking for a close but good Chinese place for a while and here it is. Good news for me.

I love this place. Its my go-to for Chinese takeout. The only complaint I have is that its not open on Memorial Day. Not a bad complaint!
