We moved here from South Texas and have ate at many oriental restaurants along the way here. Tonight we ordered Hot n Sour Soup, Combo apt Plate, n Orange Chicken Dinner from the Hot Plate Restaurant. And the soup tasted burnt, the combo apt plate food was cold, the spring rolls had old cabbage,. When we called to complain the lady who answered the phone said "Sorry, what do you want me to do about it". Being rude the whole time, I must that say I will not be ordering from them anymore, .

I would love to describe an experience. But I happen to live one block outside their normal delivery area. I called, and asked them to make an exception. They wouldnt - so theyve lost a customer. A customer who, if the food was even just decent, would probably be at least a 2-3 times a month customer. But I understand that going outside your boundaries, even by a block, is just too much to ask. After all, Im sure they have all the business they need. Because theyll not get mine.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. The servers are always friendly and an order of Thai iced tea comes with endless refills. Is the food here authentic? Probably not. but it is really tasty. My favorite menu item is the sweet and sour chicken, and the lunch combo comes with BBQ pork, rice and soup (and maybe some rolls...I cant remember). What I like about the sweet and sour chicken is that it is not heavily breaded and they use white meat.

I didnt actually order from Hot Plate. I was sick today and was looking up places to order from when I realized I still had food in the fridge. I just wanted to take a moment to say that the previous reviewer, Sandy, is the most entitled sounding brat whos ever written a review. Youre that angry because you were out of their delivery sphere? Get a life. Im gonna order from Hot Plate in the future just to spite you.

Food is great but had an issue with delivering my food. I work in a store literally within walking distance of the restaurant. Im unable to leave during store hours but I figured theyd deliver my order. Well I was wrong on that idea. The only time I eat there is when im at work so it makes it hard to order from them when they cant walk an order literally 50 feet but will drive to meet another customer. Kind of dumb.

Our family has been going to Hot Plate since they opened 2004! They are a family run restaurant with GOOD FRESH FOOD, CLEAN, and SERVICE. In responding to the negative reviews of "out of boundaries" for deliveries. Similar to school boundaries, if you make an exception to one person then others to be granted or complained. Its irrelevant to write negative reviews where it is not the owners fault!

My business is right nearby Hot Plate, so it was an easy choice for lunch. The staff was very friendly, the food was great! With many Chinese places, you end up with more fat than meat on your chicken, however Hot Plate used quality meats. They really cook it as if it was being made for their own children. I will be eating here frequently, and enjoy the quality of the service as well as the food.

Wow! Horrible customer service!! I just tried to call them to order home delivery for the first time. Initially I was put on hold, and after 5 mins hung up. I called back and complained about being left on hold, and was told to call back again after the hostess arrives 30 mins later. Horrible, horrible!! I dont recommend. They dont care about you!

My wife loves the house special chow mein. It has shrimp, chicken, and beef. The price is not cheap but the amount of food is wonderful. We always split the meal and we are both happy. The two reviews about delivery areas are ridiculous. They should not be averaged in with the others. My wife likes the cleanliness of the restaurant also.

This is one of my favorite places for Thai and Chinese food in Beaverton. I hope they incorporate some Japanese dishes in the future, as the menu is limited. Everything Ive ordered here so far has been quite tasty. I live closeby, so I have the convenience of having the food delivered as well! Highly recommended!

Food was fast. Tofu was overcooked and chewy. The Pad Thai noodles were very bland. Amys Organic frozen tv dinner style noodles are way better in comparison. Service was meh. I was one of two customers and they forgot my chopsticks and my side of rice. I got the rice, but still, no chopsticks.

My family loves this place, the food is always good they do a great job keeping it good and clean! never had a bad experience even when we have it delivered, crab cream cheese appetizers are the best and REAL orange fat chicken, not Pandas deep fried junk! We highly recommend it!

Ive been going there as long as I can remember. The food always taste good. The service can be slow at time in the dinner rush but they are always very nice to me and my family. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a good meal. They can be pricey.

The staff was friendly. None of us were impressed with the food. It was the worst chow mein I have ever had. The noodles were mush and we had no vegetables in our vegetable chow mein. The meats were tough and all of the food seemed over salty.

Decent place to eat. Kung Pao a little bland, but ingredients were fresh & portion size was good. Nothing some Sriracha sauce couldnt fix. The Thai iced tea and house tea are tasty and good values. Avoid the mustard in the squeeze tube.

Stay away from this overpriced, horrible tasting establishment. Management doesnt care that their food is disgusting. Not only is it way overpriced theyll stick you with a delivery charge and cold food.

Our favorite takeout! Quick delivery too. Love that they will give one child her sweet and sour chicken without the sauce, and that they have 3 rice options (fried/white/brown). Love their tofu pad thai.

The Pad Thai is good but most of dishes are not to my taste. The Kung Pao Chicken has more diced celery and diced onions than chicken and peanuts. The amount isnt worth the value.

We have been here several times. Both the service and the food are very good. We almost always order the Salt and Pepper Shrimp which is outstanding, and the Kung Pao Chicken.

Better than Panda Express Chinese food that delivers for when you are feeling lazy and have the cash to spend. I just wish they would deliver straight into my mouth.

Hot Plate is good for quick take-out. It isnt the most amazing Asian food in the Portland area, but it is definitely passable. Not too expensive.
