I have not been here in over 20 years, they dont like children and let us know it in a very unfriendly way. My kids are now grown, but I never went back because of their rude behaviour towards my husband and I when our son was about 3 and well behaved. We were not the kind of people who would let a child cry or be disruptive in a restaurant. Considering it is one of the few businesses that has survived all these years in Theatre Square, it must have something going for it.

Serika is all around good. Very attentive wait staff at most times. Occasionally gets really busy and they struggle some but not the norm. Good family restaurant. They do segregate the young kids to one side of the restaurant though - depending on your viewpoint this is good or bad. Sushi chef is the owner and great. Bento box for kids.

Excellent restaurant with exclusively Japanese fare. Tried some sashimi, tonkatsu, unaju, all were delicious. House sake hot or cold is available and inexpensive. Prices in general are reasonable, if not cheap. Will have to go back to try the shabu-shabu for two...

We stop for an early dinner any time we are passing through Orinda. Everything we have had here has been excellent, the service friendly and responsive. A very comfortable place for us to enjoy a meal.

The lunch Bento box was great. Decent price and awesome quality food. I need to go back to try the sushi. Their menu makes my mouth water.

Decor is at once authentic and unpretentious. Quality is high. Hot towels on arrival. Service is quick and good. Highly recommend.
