We have dined here occasionally since they opened a couple of years ago. After a few quirks in the menu and service to start with, they have really come into their own now! The service is great, with a friendly greeting at the door. At the table knowledgeable staff can be helpful (if needed) with the menu and specials from the kitchen (sometimes from the Chefs mother or grandmothers recipes!). We have tried many/most of the items on the menu and have some favorites that are always delicious! What I always look forward to are their specials on the menu or, the new seasonal items. I loved the shrimp Louie? Louis? salad (havent seen that on a menu in ages), the Lasagna! the meat loaf! the Leg of Lamb ragout! and the octopus appetizer was an outstanding mix of flavors from the sea and old world kitchen!

Ive dined at the SF restaurant and absolutely fell in love with the food and the atmosphere. It really feels like youre getting the full Italian experience. So you can image my excitement when they opened another restaurant closer to my location. Ive eaten here twice and it hasnt disappointed. Granted the experience is quite the same as the SF location but it saves me a 34 mile trip (plus traffic). My all time favorite dish is the osso buco (braised lamb shank). Ive also enjoyed the squash ravioli and the crostini as well. If you havent tried this place, I would give it a chance. You wont be disappointed.

This is a fantastic place! The service is very friendly and generous and the food is excellent. There are plenty of standard choices and unique dishes as well. The fettucini with shrimp and the osso buco are my favorite so far. The antipasto was a great starter for two or a meal in itself for one For Orinda, the prices are modest particularly considering the portions. Nice bar with large screen TVs. Go dubs!

Went there a little at random and was very pleasantly surprised! This is a top tier Italian restaurant with several authentic dishes, and actual Italian staff. Tried the osso bucco, risotto and one of the gnocchi dishes and they were all truly excellent.Will come back for special occasions.
