DONT EAT HERE! We found this place looking on Google, and thought it would be okay. The food was fine, but the manager would only seat half of our party, for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON! We were able to get one table, and even though there were other tables open, she made half of our party try and huddle around the bar area. She didnt give us as a reason for doing it. We even had a nice couple at the table next to us try and give up their table so we could be seated together, but the manager came over and told them they couldnt do it! What kind of management is that!?! The only reason that I could think of is that we were a different skin tone from everyone else at the restaurant...DONT EAT HERE!

This is a terrific place to go. Carlos, the owner is that kindest host and person, and greats you as if you were an old friend even if you do not visit frequently. The oysters are flown in fresh for the weekend and available Friday-Sunday. If you like oysters get there early because they may not be available on Sunday since they are the best! All of the other food is great as well. It is nice for summer for outdoor seating or staying in the inside screened in bar/dining area. A definite must to visit this tiki beach/bar/restaurant and gaze at the beautiful Lake Elizabeth. Forgot to mention, also have boat launch and boat trailer parking.

Very unique bar /grill. The view is wonderful, it overlooks a lake. The burger I had was also fantastic and cooked perfectly. They dont have a lot of seating though. If you want a table, make a reservation. The reason I am giving them 2 stars and not 5 is their service was terrible. The bar staff acted like we interrupted their day when we asked for a drink. Everyone in my group ordered at the same time but each meal came out 5-10 min apart and no one apologized. The waitress checked on us once. Overall I would say this is a good place to go, just dont expect any level of service or youll be disappointed.

I went to this bar for my wifes birthday. My friend and I had been sitting most of the day, and felt like standing. We were told by the owner that we had to either sit down or leave, since this was a family restaurant. Really? On our way out, we saw several people standing. Not sure why we were singled out, but as we left, a shorter heavy set guy who worked there arecame out asking who the tall guy was in our group, because he was going to hit someone. Didnt appreciate the threat, and didnt appreciate being accused of hitting an old man in the shoulder. I Will never return to this place. Ever.

I went here with a couple of friends after hearing they liked it. I didnt think it was that great, my burger was beyond overcooked had little to no blue cheese (and it wasnt even aged properly) had no lettuce or tomato and they had the audacity to try and charge me for it, my drink was way too strong and i told the bartender to go easy on it. White sitting outside when it got dark i couldnt see my check because they dont have enough light outside to see with! I would come back for a drink but not the food, ive had better burgers at a bar and this was horrible. (Im a chef)

If you didnt already know about this little resturant/bar, Im not sure how youd find it. Brightly decorated beach-themed joint right on a boat access ramp to Lake Elizabeth. Nice people and staff, really good seafood, great view of the lake. Get there between lunch & dinner crowd or youll definitely have to wait. Ee had lobster bites, crab cakes & shrimp scampi... all were soooo good!Reasonably priced. Only down side is the restrooms, which left a lot to be desired. Ewe! They really should consider upgrading the A/C, too. Overall though, we liked It! Great little place!

Love this place. Well drive up from the Chicago suburbs just for the evening and have dinner at this restaurant. Ive loved every menu item Ive ever had. The Teriyaki Tuna sandwich will be more than you can eat. Both the Grouper and Mahi Mahi sandwiches are wonderful. My wife usually gets the Smoked Salmon BLT and its fantastic. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap will leave your mouth tingling and your taste buds satisfied. One thing to note is that it is open only seasonally, so typically closed November though March. They re-open this spring on April 1.

Fun decor and nice location. After that kind of goes downhill. Decent food menu, drink menu is pretty bad. All kind of sweet mixed cocktails that remind you of a college bar. Food was very average. They need to teach the cooks to drain any fried item longer so it doesnt sit in an oil puddle when served. The parking is BS. You have to park across the street in a gravel lot. If you have a boat and trailer though you can park in the nice paved area, Ridiculous.

I agree with a lot of the reviewers. I had a smoked salmon and it was out of this world. I usually dont like fries, however I got the fries here and they were great. Has a great Island feeling....I feel like Im in Florida, and a lot of Jimmy Buffett music, laid back. Beautiful views of the lake. Im really glad I stopped in at this place for lunch, and I highly recommend it! Very friendly staff and reasonable prices!

Nice place right on Lake Elizabeth that has a big parking lot that you cant technically park in. It is for boat launches and is full of trailers. So, park across the street in the gravel lot and walk up to the place. Walk in and youre transported to Key West. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Tried the wings and they were good. Burgers, too. Didnt get too adventurous, but well be back.

Beautiful view and great service. Found this place after my buddy ran the Spartan Race in Richmond. There was 8 of us in the party. We ordered mussels for appetizers and I had the lobster mac & cheese for my main dish. Both delicious. Very friendly staff and the owner stopped by several times to check on us. Every seat is a great view of the lake. Will most definitely be back.

Excellent place to eat & drink! If youre looking for a casual dining experience on the water with an awesome view of the sunset, the Sandbar is where youll want to be! From seafood to wraps and burgers; there isnt a menu item I wouldnt recommend. Get there by car or boat; just get there.

Love this place! Great food and beautiful location on the lake. Take the whole family and always have a great time. It is small and not fancy. I recommend the grouper sandwich, but the burgers are amazing too. A nice family spot and the oldsters like it too!

My wife had the Crab Cake Dinner and I had the Seafood Slider Trio with an added Filet Minon Slider. All were very good. The Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Fries were also very tasty. Our server, Nicole, was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
