All the so-so reviews are ridiculous. Went there today with our two kids mid-way through a bike ride along the lake. The kids and us had a great time. Cute shop, great location, local owner of many years, Babcock ice cream, and fine food for the right low-key occasion. I cant imagine them charging less given that the owner has to make a living somehow. Support local and stop by.

Be prepared for a little wait if ordering food but its well worth the wait. The burgers are patted out per order so its not frozen beef. The ice cream is delicious with 16 flavours. Some people think its pricey but its not fast food and most diners are more pricey than fast food. Very good, we will be back.

Been coming here since I was a kid, very nostalgic, however, Im not a huge fan of the owner and the prices arent great. That being said, no one is going to come here with their kids and be disappointed by it, so 4/5. Indeed, the location of my profile picture.

The ice cream is extremely overpriced. $3.50 for a single scoop cake cone? I am assuming that is to compensate for the limited business because this place is just a hidden little shack across from the beach, which was tore up for renovations this summer.

Stepping in there was like travelling back in time. Excellent ice cream (Babcock Hall) and very friendly staff. There is a beach and playground right across the street as well, it makes for a nice little Sunday afternoon outing.

This place is awesome! A blast from the past. 50s style Soda and Ice Cream Shop. Live bait and a selection of lures. Great Date spot. Havent tried the food yet. Babcock Ice Cream is delicious. Closes during the winter.
