Im a native New Englander...born and raised. I know seafood. The seafood and fish here are NOT fresh. Preparation is shockingly poor. I ordered the stuffed flounder and scallops. YUCK!!! The limp texture and gray color of the flounder was a dead give away that it was not fresh. The scallops I ordered were overcooked, dry, tough and lacked even the slightest hint of sweetness. The stuffing mixture used in the flounder is the same runny, pink mush used for their stuffed mushrooms. Its absolutely Disgusting!! The stuffed mushrooms are also buried in cheese sauce and the sweet flavor of the lobster is completely lost. No fresh garlic or white wine is detectable on the palette. The strawberry Margarita I ordered had a nice presentation, but the quality of ingredients and mixing ratios were very disappointing. Not the slightest hint of liquor could be detected in this overly sweet, artificial candy like cocktail. The drink is not reminiscent of and does not boast the freshness of real strawberries. The quality is equal to a can of Budweiser strawberry margarita available at any gas station. Save the 8 bucks and ask for a glass of water with a few fresh sliced strawberries and a slice of lime. The Decor is outdated, the service is slow. We had to ask for our cold, dry biscuits 4 times before receiving them. Of course, we were the second to be seated in the dining area and last to be served. I left the restaurant 92.00 lighter, and would have been more satisfied with a fish o filet from Wendys or Culvers and a bottle of spring water. (seriously). Shame on you Red Lobster!!! African American and biracial patrons were clearly segregated from the rest of the patrons. They were seated in a blatant discriminatory fashion. Every minority patron was seated in the same section in the back of the restaurant behind the bar. This area is uncomfortably cold and is shared with the server station. This is obviously the most undesirable section in the entire restaurant and is out of the view of the main dining area. (The main dining area had ample available seating.) Our nearly, non English speaking waitress had to run back and forth from the bar area to service the minority patrons back there, then tend to only us in the dining area. I found it particularly disturbing that we had to be serviced by the bar waitress, while the rest of the patrons in the dining area were serviced promptly the waitress assigned to the dining area. If your thinking about eating here. I suggest Culvers as a better option. Save your money and time. Get better quality fish ... And if your of African American decent... dont give this establishment your hard earned money just to feed you low quality, poorly prepared seafood and seat you, as if you are the help.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Went for the endless shrimp had to wait 40 min for a table which is fine. Sat down waited another 15 min for a waitress. Ordered our food waited another 35 then told we could only order one refill at a time which took another 25-35 minutes continued to repeat the process foolishly hoping some how it would get better. Told the kitchen was "slow tonight" because everyone was ordering the endless shrimp. If they cant handle the promotion then they shouldnt put it on. The service was slow as well because our drinks only came with our shrimp refills. Didnt know you had to cook ice tea and soda with the shrimp. Joke of a restaurant all around. Poor service, poor management and small portions + ridiculous wait times for everything =not going back EVER. If you want endless shrimp and have endless time to wait then eat here

I find it hard to believe all the negative reviews I read on this site. We celebrated my husbands 77th birthday there yesterday (11/18/14), and totally ENJOYED ourselves. Our two adult sons, a grandson my hubby and I had NO PROBLEM AT ALL. The service was great and the food was delicious. My one son and I had the Ultimate Feast (lobster, shrimp, fried shrimp and crab legs, all items were well prepared and VERY GOOD. Another son had the Snow Crab Legs, they were HUGE and delicious. My hubby had the Admirals Feast of fried scallops, shrimp, fried clam strips and fried flounder, also well prepared and good. It was a very busy night and we still received great service, we were asked more than once if we were enjoying our food and, of course, we were and did. I heartily recommend the Madison, WI Red Lobster for a great place to eat. Needless to say the cheddar biscuits were, as always, great!

The food was ok service was poor . The manager seemed to do all the work and was very nice. When I entered the restaurant we waited about one min for the waitress to a knowledge us she was talking with two servers counting their tips. The place had lots of empty tables but the waitress couldnt find one on the computer then the manager came over quickly and politely found us a table . We were then seated our waitress rushed us and forgot our salads a different person brought our appetizers. We asked for more rolls and she said how many are in your basket? Then when we were gonna pay she took the bill from my mom I then went to the bathroom. I came back waited 5 min and still no change then she came over counted out the change to my mom. We usually tip 20%at least my mom tied her 15% I would of only gave her maybe $5 for her service if it was up to me.

Ive eaten at many restaurants in the past. many of which seafood. it took them less than 5 minutes from when i entered the door to find us a table and seat us at around 5:30 pm. on top of that the food was hot and to our table in less than 15 minutes which is impressive considering our order was fairly large. the most impressive part of the whole visit was when i entered and exited the building. EVERY employee i passed on my way in said "Good Afternoon sir" or "Welcome" in a very polite manor with a smile. on my way out i was passed at least 9 people EACH AND EVERY ONE said "have a wonderful night and thank you for stopping in" i have NEVER in all my visits to any restaurant had this kind of service and environment as a side note a few were carrying food and still took time from trying to find their table to say it.

For how much money per person it cost to go to this place you should get great service and a meal to rave about. However my group and I went during crab fest and all of us got the plate that included, a lobster tail, 1/2 of a crab, breaded shrimp and mashed potatoes. (the mashed potatoes were excellent) The lobster tail was fantastic, it was large and very juicy, the crab legs were delicious but the meat inside the crab was fishy. The service was alright. Our waiter was talking about my group and I and how we said the meat inside the crab was delicious even though we told her it was fishy. We tipped her about 15% but our bill was still over $140 for the 4 of us, kinda of obnoxiously priced but overall I would give it about a 3.7 for a star rating.
