Im not usually a complaining type person..But this was the worst indian food I have ever had and Ive tried many different places. The place had a decent atmosphere but the food was not good at all.First of all, it wasnt even warm..I was almost hesitant to eat food off a buffet that had a luke warm temp..but was with a friend (who is Indian) and ate anyway. This food is not authentic indian...its more altered to american taste standards Im assuming...no spice at all.Several dishes had the same underlying strange sweet flavor. They had several choices out but the only thing that was worth eating was the tandoori chicken.I usually love vegetable korma but theirs was so muchy and flavorless I was unsure what kind of veggies I was eating. The dessert station was just as bad..fried mushy bananas laying in a bowl and sitting on a table..I dont have to explain what happens to fried food thats been sitting out and has not been kept warm...soggy! The lassi was plain yogurt colored orange, also not being kept cold. Then they had what appeared to be uncooked dough sprinkled with sugar..not tasty either. The waitress was pleasant, but brought our bill to us as we sat down with our first plate of food. There were no indian people eating in this place .I can see why. This is not authentic indian food, maybe its good for people who have never been to a real Indian restaurant.I will say they are inexpensive..so you get what you pay for I guess.

This is one of our most favorite restaurants! We love nearly everything on the menu. The owner is really friendly and always makes a point of speaking to us and asking how everything is. He cares very much about his customers. The other staff has always been very friendly too. We love to bring friends here and often run into people we know. Its a local favorite!!! Our family favorites: Chicken Tikki Masala, Chicken Korma and Vindaloo, the Chai Tea and Mango Lassi are great, and be sure to try the the rice pudding and the Gulab Jamun!!!

I LOVE going to this restaurant for their weekend buffet. They have just the right amount of choices to keep me coming, and they change a few of them up regularly. The owner is always on hand and tries to talk with everyone during their meal once just to check up. It is reservation only, but the owner said that it was because he didnt want anyone to be unhappy with the food because of an unexpected rush or lapse in customers. I can take my whole family to eat for $20 with tip on a sunday after Church. Great restaurant - will keep going.
MR
Mr. Currys Restaurants
Mr. Currys goal is to provide high quality, authentic and Traditional Indian food for the lowest possible price - Current super special price for the largest Sunday Buffet is $7.95 (reg. price is $10.95 and open for Lunch/Buffet only on Sundays). Mr. Currys Dinner menu price is very low, starting at $3.95 to $11.95. The meals includes cooked Basmati Rice and Nan Bread. Mr. Currys wanted to make sure that eating high quality, fresh Indian food doesnt have to be getting ripped off, anymore, as used to be in most of the communities in US.

In the Edwardsville location: The buffet food was insipid at best. The Chicken Tikka Marsala was oily rather than creamy and left an unpleasant after taste that lingered into the afternoon. The naan was dry and hard. The other buffet items had the same undistinguished flavor. The kheer was OK though a little sweet. The mango lassi had an artificial orange color though it tasted OK. All-in-all a huge disappointment. This part of Illinois could still use a good Indian restaurant.

Its become a regular place to eat for us. We think the service is great - the waitresses all cooperate with each other & give great service. The staff is friendly. The food is beyond amazing - cant say enough good things about this place. DONT MISS EATING HERE!! Love the buffet- several great choices every time. Great price.

Sorry, but I was not impressed with the presentation. I lived in India, have eaten Indian food many times and what I was presented with was pure zero! I ordered to go. My food was served in a Chinese box (like Chinese rice). Thats not how Indian food is served. Wasted my money. I will not be returning.

Awesome tasting Indian food for much less than Im used to paying at other Indian places in St. Louis. Two Chicken Tikka Masala entrees and a couple extra orders of naan bread comes in at well under $20. They have spicy levels up to rank 5 on the menu, but you can go higher if you ask-- Ive done up to 20.

When I first moved here, I was excited to have an Indian place so close to my house. We went a few times and gave up. Its grandmas home cooking meets Indian food. If you are a local and want to ease from local flavors to Indian, go for it. I would not call it authentic.

My favorite Indian place in the St. Louis area. The lunch buffet is particularly noteworthy for the price. The food does occasionally vary a bit on the buffet, but is usually very good. There are always vegetarian options, but some days there are more choices.

Love this place. I love the Chana Tikka Masala. Everything Ive had from this place was great and the prices are excellent. You have to make reservations for evenings but you can call at 6:30 and get a reservation for 6:45 and its no big deal.

Amazing food for a great price. Will definiately be going again. Server was very pleasant, and it was cozy, made me feel like I was focused on rather than them being focused on getting your money.

First of all, make sure to call ahead and reserve a take since it is required. Second of all, the food was amazing. Definitely a place that should be visited for indian food.

Amazing food. Fantastic location. I love the fact that it used to be a home. I grew up in a home like that (ranch style) felt very homey. Will definitely go there again!

Always have a fantastic Lunch buffet on Sundays, call ahead to make sure there is room. It is a pretty small venue and they appreciate reservations.
