Taste of India is a welcome addition to our local dining options. We have ordered from the menu, had take-out, and have eaten the lunch buffet. Saag Paneer is one of my favorite dishes (I hope I spelled that correctly). We have also enjoyed snacks and sweet treats in the India Cafe right next door. The mango lassi, Indian Tea, Indian coffee and Pani Puri are awesome treats. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of the owners told me they grind all their spices in the kitchen and all recipes are authentic Indian recipes they brought with them from their original home in Jalandhar. Prior to opening in Clinton, the owners had 3 restaurants in Utah that won numerous awards for Best in State/best Indian restaurant. In the same shopping plaza as the restaurant and cafe: a sizeable Indian grocery that carries a wide variety of Indian spices, beans, peas, rice, beautiful fresh produce and frozen foods; as well as a boutique that sells Indian clothing, shoes and jewelry. The colors are a treat for the eyes. Prices are reasonable - good value for the $$.

No wonder why this restaurant has got all the good reviews. Around 2 PM We were party of around 10 people travelling on interstate-55 approx. 40 mins away from restaurant. They were supposed to get closed at 2:30 PM but i called them and said that we will be there 10 mins late and requested them to accommodate us. Lady at counter was happy to do that. After we reached, she made sure to refill all the trays for buffet and served us hot Naan breads on the table. Since we had many veggie people she made sure to ask chef to prepare another variety of Paneer gravy and served it on the table. On the top of this hospitality, food was amazing and had authentic punjabi taste. Gulab Jamuns were yummilicious. Everything was so good and tasty. Must try for everyone. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Came on a Saturday night and we were the only one in the restaurant. We ordered the lamb tikka masala, butter chicken and chicken tandoori. Everything was delicious! I live closer to Spice Avenue on the 55, but Id rather drive 30 minutes to come here, this is my new favorite Indian restaurant in Jackson. Your meal comes with rice, youd have to order naan if you want that. The staff is very friendly, inviting and attentive. They have an Indian grocery store and boutique next door, makes it super convenient to pick up what I need after dinner. Its a tad on the pricey side for Indian food, but thats the price for Indian food in the South, wed definitely be back!

When I moved to Mississippi I thought Id be giving up great Indian, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. Seriously one of the best lunch buffets Ive ever been to and I hit them up wherever I go. This is quality over quantity in terms of size of the buffet, but the quality is high. Usually not a lot vegetarian options compared to many buffets Ive been to, which doesnt bother me in the slightest, but if youre looking for vegan you may have to order off the menu. I havent had anything but the buffet so far; however, based on its quality, I can only imagine that the menu is stellar.

By far The best desi food I have had in US. The whole family runs the place and they are so welcoming and caring. It feels as though u are in your own village. Now thats huge complement. A must visit. We stopped here on out way to Louisiana. It was before there lunch ours. They welcomed us offered us tea and all sat together with us while we were enjoying tea and chatting. You dont find such an atmosphere elsewhere in US. After that was delicious we took extra with us. Looking forward to visit them again

A great place. Ive been there on five occasions in the past year and the waitress was very kind each time and even remembered our drink preferences from previous visits. The buffet always has something good, although different from week to week, and Ive seen them accommodate large parties without ignoring the single family tables. Its one of my favorite restaurants in Clinton.

We love their food for take-out or dine-in! Its always good. We enjoy trying new things and have never been disappointed. However, our favorites are the tikka masala and coconut korma dishes. The naan is always a must. Great portion sizes, worth the money. They do a buffet for lunch where you can try different things. Always friendly and helpful.

Very Americanized Indian food. Not much flavor and cheap ingredients. For example, veg curry had a very bland gravy with what looked like a bag of frozen mixed vegetables from Walmart cooked in. Nan was more like pita in texture and taste. I live in Hyderabad 6 months each year and REALLY love Indian food! This food does not compare.

Food was overpriced for such a small portion size and was filled with fat. The buffet was only 4 items and definitely not worth paying $12. The restaurant itself was dirty and the staff did not even clean the tables, plates, cups, and utensils properly.

One wouldnt expect the best Indian restaurant for miles and miles around would be in Clinton, Mississippi. And after your meal, walk through the restaurant to the market for Indian grocery and fashion goods.

Very bland food and very few food options in the lunch buffet. Seems the food kept in the buffet is not fresh either. Too expensive buffet for what it tastes and the options available.

Awful service. The waitress got our orders wrong and charged double! Will not be returning. You would think since nobody was there they would want to keep their customers.

Low quality indian food. Didnt like it at all. Ordered goat biriany. When it came it looked like someone mixed goat curry with some bashmati rice. Dont waste your money there.

The buffet is tasty even if it is "spiced down" for Mississippi palates. We look forward to our weekly visits for lunch.

Decent food but adding Italian sauce into chicken Manchurian is little disappointing.
