My husband and I went for breakfast and it was not good at all. The coffee is like tar , and it did not matter how much creamer extra water or sugar we put in it it was not drinkable. Then we both ordered skillets , skillets should be cooked in the skillet, not cooked and placed in a decorative skillet. The skillet is used to keep the food hot , which the food was not. As far as the Skillets go, the potatoes should be cut up smaller to have more flavor , and where is the bacon? There was more onions than anything. The toast comes cold and plain, and they serve it with cold butter , how are you supposed to put cold butter on cold toast? I asked them to warm the butter and it still came back cold. This restaurant needs to learn a lot about service before the next season comes or theyre not going to make it. You want to learn about good food for a good price, go to Mannys in Twin Lakes. That is a lake view and the food is killer with larger portions at a better price. I will drive from Lake Geneva to Twin Lakes to go have a decent breakfast with a decent cup of coffee before eating at oakfire ever again. Oh by the way, I do want to emphasize that our food was that horrible when there was only 1 other couple in the entire restaurant for customers. If its that bad when its empty what is it going to be like when its full and their push to cook the food faster? Word of the wise to the owners and the cooks, go to Mannys and learn how to cook and see how the service is supposed to be, how fast the food is cooked, how hot the food is, the presentation, and the price.

Ordering sidewalk dining is challenging with a steady cool lake breeze early evening..best to dine inside. My buddy and i ordered some after we were told that the $12 burgers were 86d i figured i would try the only other beef offering - a coffee rubbed skirt steak which included mashed pot and asparagus $18 my friend had chicken panini sandwich $12...hmmm honestly the food was kind of disappointing small portions, the vegetables didnt really pair well with the bland steak- and not really much flavor sorry but the mango salsa didnt save it either. Service was fine and so was the view. Note to owner: DO NOT RUN OUT OF BURGER MEAT (grocery stores are in town) and better portions i wont be back here again but just saying from another chef

5 stars for service - Lauren, the lead hostess: Memorable experience on a busy Saturday night - restaurant was full, Lauren demonstrated excellent presence of mind and was able to accommodate our family with two hungry kids without much wait or delay. Well done! April, the server. Service was on point, quick and efficient. 2.5 stars for pizzas - we ordered two gourmet pizzas. The pizzas were tasty but very soggy and disappointing in the middle! The pizza base needed more chew and the backbone to stand up to the toppings! And to be fair, the appetizers - Burrata and fried mozzarella sticks were very good. Summary - service was outstanding. I will return to give the pizzas a second chance! Thank you.

Came for a friends birthday, food was good. Not sure if the pizza is normally super thin and soggy. But the best part was the crust. Service was not good. She never refilled our drinks after asked 3 Time. Ordered another beer, never got it. we ordered a nutella pizza (which she said would take 15 min), it took 20. our friend ordered something like a lava cake which didnt come out until 12 min after our pizza came out. So im assuming she forgot. Oh and the icing on the cake.....she swiped our card for the wrong amount. Coming from a table full of waitresses , there couldve been WAY more that couldve been, or at least warned about. Will most likely never go back again. Thank you Karin.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to check out the newly remodeled building. The view of the lake on the upstairs balcony was very nice. There was plenty of outdoor seating but on this nice Sunday, there was a 30 minute wait for a table. Lake Geneva was very busy that day so the long wait was not unexpected. We chose to sit at a high-top in the bar area just inside the balcony area and were able to be served promptly. The server was polite and efficient, the food was served hot and quickly. We chose light snacks and were pleased with our selection. The food was a little pricey but that is usually expected in a touristy area. Overall, we liked it and will be back.

Food is fine, nothing special, but very small portions and unreasonable prices. Single serve very thin pizzas are $14-18/each. I am 180 lbs and needed 2. My family of four had 2 kids eat off the kids menu, wife had 1 glass of wine, I had 2 beers. The bill was only slightly less than the night before at Abbey Springs Yacht Club, where all of us ate off the adult menu, wife and I had fillet and a bottle of wine. Like many lakeside restaurants, they will have to survive the winter on locals. The margins are so high, they may make it, but i would like to see something that is not such a poor value in the space. I miss Scuttlebutt.

The service, managers, hostess, & noise level, were all absolutely awful. The pizza is good but not worth the terrible experience in my opinion. We had a reservation for 6:15pm and were told if we werent there by 6:35 theyd have to give our table to someone else. We thought that was a strange comment to make but didnt really think any more of it. We showed up early at 5:40 because we were in the area and we were not seated until 7:30 and our food took 25 minutes to come out. We never received a single drink refill and had to ask for our check when we were clearly done eating. Very poorly run facility. Go elsewhere.

I wish I could leave a 3.5 star review. The food looks and sounds better than it is. I had chicken and waffles and while it was hot and tasty it had absolutely no salt in it at all. So it ended up being very sweet chicken. Again just disappointed but not enough to send it back. The misses got the chicken Benedict and the sauce and spinach were perfect. But again no salt and the potatoes while tasty were chewy and cut too large for what they were trying to do. We would pick this over egg harbor all day but it wasnt perfect. Service is friendly but slow and inattentive. All young kids working summer jobs.

Good food but the service was unfortunately poor. The waitress never asked if we wanted a second drink, our water glasses were always empty, and the dirty appetizer plates remained on the table until we left. The food took forever (weekday at 1:00) and since they have separate kitchens for pizzas, our lunches were brought out 5-10 minutes apart. The final straw was my sons calzone was cold and their $1.95 discount on our $50 bill was none too generous. Adjacent tables with different waitresses were experiencing similar issues. I wont be back.
