The atmosphere was great, the bartender was very cordial, wine selection very good- however we never got seated to order dinner. Came in and hostess said 45 minute wait, 3 of us, but she said as soon as she seated some people from the bar at their table, there would be room at the bar and we could wait there. She seated us at the bar about 10 min later. 50 min later she passed with some newer people and seated them at a table, so we asked her when we would be seated and she said- I took you off the list when you were seated at the bar! We told her that was absolutely not what she had told us, and she said she would "check" when we could be seated, and NEVER came back. Passed us several times and NEVER stopped. And there was 1 EMPTY table. The bartender was very gracious but at 8pm after almost two hours we paid our bar bill and left. Wont ever go back until they get a new hostess. Sad too the wine was good. Disliked: Service from hostess.

The Nova is our favorite restaurant in Hudson. We eat out at least once a week and continue to go back to The Nova. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere this is the place for you. The food is made to order so we understand that it may take a little longer than your typical chain restaurant and it is totally worth the wait. We have never had anything that has been less than exceptional. Its also nice that they add specials to the menu so it can be a surprise when there is something new. The service has always been wonderful. The beer and wine menu are superb. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who realizes quality food done very well.. :)

Ive heard amazing things about this place and wanted to take my wife to a very special birthday dinner. Being from out of state, we wanted to place a reservation, so as not to have to wait after making the long journey. Well, they dont take reservations. Even after politely explaining to the host our situation the answer was still a firm no. First come first serve is the answer I got. No exceptions. Not a very good way to do business. Especially when someone is looking forward to a spending the kind of money that I l wanted to. This leads me to believe that my dining experience would have left the same bad taste in my mouth.

It was okay, but Im not sure what all the fuss is about. Atmosphere was fine. Food was hit or miss. I had the top shelf filet mignon. It was pretty good, but Ive had better steaks for less than the $38 it cost. My wife had steak as well, the tri medallions. That was actually pretty gross. The steak had no flavor and was really really chewy. My garlic mashed potatoes were pretty good, but her cheddar potatoes werent. It took a full hour to get our food after ordering, and the place wasnt even full yet. Thats ok if youre expecting it, but felt pretty long. Oh, and no salad or bread?

Was excited to try something new and was completely disappointed. We went in the afternoon and they were only a couple of people there. The wait staff was too busy socializing with friends at bar. It took an hour and 10minutes to get our food. I ordered the portabella mushroom and it was the size of silver dollar with some cheese and an uncooked piece of kale on it. It was not worth $17!!!! My date had the fajitas, and reported it was ok. The environment was cute, but not worth the trip to receive bad service and overpriced food!!!!!

lol @ the poster who rated it 1 star without ever going there. yeah, they dont take reservations, cry me a river. you seem incredibly self-centered and guess what, everybody who eats there has money dumba$$. was there just last night and the food is still kickass, the waiter made an awesome beer recommendation, and a great time was had by all. Ive been there so many times but it continues to surprise me with just how great of a place it is and how lucky we are to have a nice hidden gem like the nova.

Had lunch there with my beautiful bride this past Saturday. The food was excellent, and the pasta dish ordered with no onion and the mozzarella on the side came as ordered. Little fresh mozzarella balls. Yum. Prices reasonable. Staff top notch, knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside was no porter on tap, but the Locally brewed Daybreak Stout hit the spot.

My wife and I have been to the Nova a few different times. It is a small place and very popular, so be prepared to wait, but its worth it. Dont expect fast service, thats not the point, youre there to enjoy yourselves over a leisurely evening. In addition to the great atmosphere, beer and wine selection, the food has always been awesome.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere and good food. The beer cheese burger was good, but a little too rich and too salty for my taste, so Im reluctant to give 5. Good range of beers despite their greater emphasis on wine selection. Excellent pulled pork nachos for starters, Ill remember that dish for a while.

Food was exceptional. Great wine selection. Becky was a great server. Reservations are not taken & food takes some time, well worth the wait. A meal like this would cost twice as much in the Twin cities. So come to relax & enjoy the experience. If your in a hurry, this is not the place for you.

A neat little place with an impressive wine list and decent tap beer selection. The food we got was good all around, and our server was very friendly and helpful. I think some of the things were a little overpriced on the menu, so keep an eye on that. Otherwise great place.

I had the salmon and it was very mediocre. I feel like most things on the menu should be 5 or 10 dollars less than they are. The salmon wasnt bad it just wasnt worth $21 I would have been ok paying $10 for it but it was no where near worth $21.

Really unique atmosphere and setup in this restaurant. There is a Victorian feel to this restaurant and the food is very good. Decent beer and wine selection. Bit on the spendy side, but its worth it for the most part.

Everytime we have eaten here, and we go here quite a bit, the food has been tremendous. The wine selection is good as well. Staff is always friendly, live music on the weekends a plus.
