My sister, wife, niece and I went last night for the Friday Night Fish Fry. My sister talked the place up quite a bit so we were excited we hadnt been there in quite awhile and she patronizes more often than I. As soon as we walked into the place the oder from the bathroom well, you can use your imagination, but we didnt think too much about it after we got passed the door, figuring it was the bathroom. I ordered the combo fish plate of cod and perch with my choice of the two sides. After a very good appetizer the meal followed. I ate the two pieces of cod, very good, the bites of the sides and coleslaw were very good. I grabbed a piece of the perch, looked very appealing, as I chewed it was very crunchy, at first I thought it was the batter maybe a little over done, then perhaps a bone, but as I chewed I realized it was scales. Yes scales, not bone, my sister asked was it a bone, I scraped off the batter to reveal scales, along the little filet. Yuck, we told the waitress and put the rest of the piece on an appetizer plate to show her, she took it back to the kitchen. She came back with two "fresh" pieces and an apology from "Dave" saying that they are wild caught and this happens. Well in all my 34 years of eating fish, wild caught, store bought, at home that Ive filleted myself and in restaurants not once have I ever eaten fried fish with scales. Ive come across bones and have no problem with skin, of course any fish eater should realize there is a good chance of coming across those, but scales, and it wasnt just one or two. Come on, as a professional anyone breading or battering filets in your kitchen should be double checking what goes into that fryer. I did not want to look at the perch after that, it ruins a dining experience rather fast and then to bring out two more perch. It would have made more sense to ask to take of the cost of the perch. My $15.00 dollars would have been better spent at any other supper club around the area or even the KC Hall, because at least there I know I wont be served fish with scales. I wasnt looking for a free meal, but at least "Dave" could have apologized himself. I told my parents today and they said I should have gotten up and walked out. Perhaps Im too modest, but we left ten percent, two dollars from my wife and I and my sisters meal was very good so she left five. I would say next time I hope its better, but I will not be patronizing them again. Its a shame, but would you return? On my way out as soon as I entered the bar I got that same bathroom smell that we got when we walked in. Didnt think it would have lingered that long. All in all two stars is pretty generous based on my experience.

VERY LOUD in dining room. Poorly run bar, plenty of bartenders just all bunched in one spot, had to wait for drinks. Over an hour wait, for our table, 1 hour 12 minutes actually, I was told our table was next then watched as others were seated. When I questioned this they said your table is ready and then we waited. I again asked and they said our table was ready, then we waited while others were seated. Our waitress was great, the food mediocre, prices were good for the quality of the food. Will not go again....great disappointment.

My wife and children all surprised me on my 70th birthday. I thought I was having dinner with my wife, but 4 of my children w/their spouses were there and we had an fantastic evening. The food was very good (as usual) and our waitress did a great job with our table of 10. I would recommend Red Cabin at Green Acres to anyone. The staff is great, very good drinks at the bar, and the owners are very personable. One of my favorite places to eat..............

We had planned a 6:30 reservation but at 7:30 we had just sat down with no food and could observe groups that arrived the same time at us getting seated near after. So dont bother with reservations. Its a great place to drink and order over priced mediocre food. I can only imagine this place was popularized by loyal locals

God aweful experience! Brandy old fashion sweet came with no cherries or orange. My steak that was supposed to be med/well and came out rare sent it back and came back the same . No wonderful dinner tonight I guess. Waitress Mary disnt care either. Never stopped back to check on us. Aweful meal and service.
