My experience for Almost Heaven was Almost He**. Ok, maybe not that bad, but Im still hangry since I didnt eat very much of the most awful nachos I have ever been served. We ordered the pub nachos. They were to have pulled pork served in them. Pulled pork on these nachos = little chunk of pork that was half gristle/fat. I tried to cut off the gristle/fat off of the little chunk of pork, but quite honestly after a little while (and my husband tried, too, flinging some fat in me) I gave up. After hiking several miles I was so hungry, but alas, it was not meant to be. I should have quit while I was ahead. But, I thought ok the food here sucks, guess its a liquid lunch for me. I ordered the red sangria. He asked me if I wanted peach, strawberry or raspberry. That should have been my sign. I ended up with sangria that mainly tasted like raspberry liquor. Wonderful. Its a good thing that this place is surrounded my beautiful scenery. The hike this morning reigned me in from having a real housewives flip table moment.

Avoid this place at all cost! Their name should be "Almost Hell", not "Almost Heaven". This restaurant really needs to get it together in all aspects, or they need to close immediately. The service and food were awful. They are a "pub", they advertised cold beer, yet they had NO alcohol available!?! Everything about this place is unacceptable. They had one bottle of hot sauce for the whole establishment. What a waste of time and money. 2 of our entrees came 15 minutes after the other 2, even though all 4 of us ordered the same thing. Our orders came with sides, both of which they forgot to bring with the food. We had to ask for our sides, which came another 5 minutes later. We were stuck there for 2 hours, I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Dont listen to Debbies review. This place is nowhere near how she described it. The staff and owner is very friendly and will do anything for the customer. The food is exceptional. They have different/more options than the other choices in Harpers Ferry. As for the no alcohol, the first week or so they were open they made it clear they would not have any until around the following week. Its something that comes with any new restaurant, you cant just jump in head first. Service is fast when you compare it to the other choices of places to eat in downtown HF. All around 10/10.

Almost Heaven? It should be called Almost Edible. You can spot the head chef out on the highway working on tomorrows menu. Our waitress (who was very nice) was a vegetarian and I plan to become one too after eating here. The food tastes just as good coming up as it did going down.

The service was horrible. Sat for over and hour for one club sandwich and all we kept getting were excuses. Other people who arrived after us were getting their food. This is a tourist community, if you cant support the demand you need to get out of the business.

Came here after 5pm on a Tuesday. Had loaded fries and an oatmeal stout after hiking the Maryland Heights trail. Sat on the second level deck on a nice evening with friendly service.

I loved this place. Service was extremely friendly, food was great. I was able to sit and just relax after hiking. Each time I came the experience was as good as the last.

Bbq was ok. Onion rings were better. Sauce for the pork tasted like bottled from the store. Nice view of Maryland Heights from the balcony. Neat place. Would go again!
