+JMJ Came to the restaurant twice and both occasions were pretty special. One was for my birthday! A friend and her sons treated me to a special evening out. What was enjoyable about the visit was that there were two men offering live entertainment singing traditional Irish songs! And, I was treated to a meal of delicious fish and chips! The second visit had an unexpected experience. A friend and I showed up at the restaurant only to learn that they wouldnt be serving dinner until a few hours later. What was truly amazing was that the server was very accommodating and was able to have the kitchen prepare something for us. Though I cant recall what my friend and I ate, I will always remember the hospitality shown to us by that waitress. Lastly, I never attended their St Patricks Day event, but I know it was well attended. The parking lot that evening would be packed!!. Rare Olde Times is a fun place and they do serve good food.

I have never left reviews on Google but I had to this time. I absolutely adored everything about this place. As soon as I walked in the door I felt like I was at home. Maybe its the Irish in my family but something just spoke to me. The staff were great, live music was great, but the highlight had to be the food. I tried 3 different things and I didnt even plan on eating. I was lucky enough to get the last Sausage Roll which was fantastic. And I also had a bit of Scotch Eggs, and the Ruban Egg Rolls. All were delicious and the beer selection was great. I will be coming back probably weekly now. Do yourself a favor and try it ;)

I love Rare Olde Times - theres always good, live music, the decor is older and gives the place a close, community feel- rather than the standard sports and booze decorations of most standard bars. The drinks are just as good and bartenders just as friendly as anywhere Ive had a drink in Richmond. They have darts and shuffleboard, which is reason enough to go. Great neighborhood place - do yourself a favor and become a regular.

Ive been going to Rare Olde Times for years and I can honestly say it is the most welcoming, enjoyable place to hang out and have a pint with buddies or take the family to for dinner. The staff is friendly, the food is consistently good and the entertainment covers all the bases. Ive been in Irish pubs all over the country and Rare Olde Times ranks right up there with the best! Slainte!

Our business, MaidPro, just moved in across the street, and I cant tell you what a surprise it was to find this awesome pub. The food is great, but the friendliness of everyone there makes me proud to call the Rare Olde Times neighbors. The live music and perfectly poured Guiness makes me feel like were transported to Dingle or something. The burgers are some of the best in RVA, too.

We love Wednesday night trivia here. Its always loads of fun. Rob has really transformed this place. The food is great. Of course, the fish and chips are fantastic - its an Irish pub. However, skip the veg side and ask for a double helping of chips. Be sure to tell Yvonne and Donna I sent you; theyre the best servers in town.

Came in preperformance with a group. Service and food was quick. Ordered steak frittes and dublin burger, both were pretty good. Someone in our group ordered wings and theyre great.
