There food is very good but there personnel especially the older of the owner female is so rude and tells me a full blooded American whom speakers English very well that she dont understand me as I explained to her it her English that is very poor and rather rude. So this will be my last purchase from them and that really sad because there food is good. But when I have a poor speaking immigrant from another country telling me my English is poor omg never been so offended in my life and loosing a customer like me whos been faithful To bamboo terrace for 20 years something like that Im sure Im not only customer whos been ran off it prime lunch time and maybe 5-6!customers here Im sure it because people like to be able to communicate with there wait person when ordering and Ive seen this obstacle happen on every occasion that Ive been here sad. But it will be a sinking ship at this rate. Maybe hire some English speaking people or your in trouble as u just lost customer who realty like your food but service is

My wife and I are in Yakima about once a month and this month we tried the Great Shang Hai restaurant. We just ate there and the food was delicious. First, I must explain we always rate a Chinese restaurant on how well they do on the standard combination dinners. We think that if they do well there then the specials/entries will be that much better. The combination dinners we had today were hot, the vegetables were crunchy and not over cooked and everything was outstanding taste wise. The portions were huge for the price, we couldve ordered one dinner and had plenty for both of us. The bbq pork was warm, tender and tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant for great Chinese food with fast friendly service, we will definitely be going back!

I call to place an order & lady just hangs up No OK I got it ...No OK thank you Me thinking it was a bad call I call back to ask if she got it & in a Very Rude Nasty voice she replies " I got your order did you forget already? " I said OK how long ..she replies 10 mins Takes me about 15 to get there & my order isnt ready I had to wait an extra 5 to get my order! Very unhappy with the customer service & food isnt that great either I have had better !!!

Ordered almond chicken the gravy that was on it wasnt gravy but a dark sauce of some kind. Tasted bad. The fried rice was extremely dry and flavorless. When I tried telling the server, all I got was a blank look and a sorry. They need someone who speaks and understands English when there is a problem. The cashier took $2.00 of a totally unedible meal. Wont be coming back again.

We are regulars here (not anymore!). Our Sub gum chow mein was cold. We let the waitress know. She asked us to scoop into another plate. ??? Confused...she took it and microwaved it. Seriously?!!!! No let me take your plate and fix it right. I felt like they thought we were lying. We have never had cold food here. Will not return. Poor customer service.

We went for lunch. Atmosphere was dry, very quiet inside. Nobody was talking. Ordered from the lunch menu. Food had a lot of flavor and we did have leftovers. The service is quick, but also quick to get you out. 4 stars for the food but I would say 1 star for the service, if I could give just a review on service.

Big portions of mediocre food, served by a nervous staff and a manager who intimidates everyone. The ambiance in the place hasnt been updated since they bought it from the last Chinese restaurant operated in the same location. Extra star for the ashtrays in the bathroom.

Smell was overwhelming when we walked in of a dirty kitchen and poor drain maintenance. Food was still FROZEN in our to-go order and the quality of the rest was poor. Old fryer oil was evident to boot. Will not go back.

Fast service and relatively tasty food for the price. Large food portions. Only negative is that the waiter spoke limited English, so I couldnt understand the answer to some of the questions I had about the menu.

This place is awesome!! If you want some good old fashioned Chinese American food this is the place. The prices are so low and the portions are huge!!! So if you go there with someone I would just buy one entree.
