Best Thai food in the Puget Sound! They are accommodating to any food allergy or diet. Being vegan, I am obsessed! They have an entire vegetarian menu and most dishes are gluten free! The staff is unparalleled. They remember you and greet you by name. Highly recommended for anyone and everyone. UPDATE: 5/9/17 Peanut Sauce used to be my favorite spot in Tacoma. That was before a couple of weeks ago. My family and I were returning home from a long and emotional trip from Olympia. We were so looking forward to the warm and nutrition rich food of our favorite thai spot. We ordered online. My girlfriend ran in to grab our food. As she sat and waited, she noticed the staff eyeing her and that the food was taking longer than usual. A few minutes later, the owner came out and exclaimed, " I know you! I recognized your name from your Google review!". She then spent the next 10 minutes berating my girlfriend for her review. My partner tried to calmly explain that we spoke with employees of her establishment who told us that some of the reportedly vegan curries were anything but. And instead of never returning, we just chose to change our usual orders, as we loved Peanut Sauce. The owner then began to bad mouth her staff. Saying that they dont know anything and are out to get her and her small business. She was so angry, her face was turning red and her breathing increased. I was shocked at the time it was taking to get a simple take out order and the moment before I was going to check out the delay, my girlfriend came out with a shocked look on her face. Upset, she told me what happened. I am shocked and appalled at the TERRIBLE customer service by the OWNER of Peanut Sauce. We are members of the Tacoma Vegans page and will be telling them all of our experience. I am the owner and curator of Tacoma Snap Club and plan on relaying my experience to all of my followers, as well as, writing to The News Tribune about the AWFUL customer service by the owner of this establishment. Cornering a patron of your "small business" and yelling at them, instead of speaking with your employees about the ingredients is WRONG and DISTASTEFUL. I recommend, not walking, but running from Peanut Sauce. As an avid writer and member of the Tacoma community, I rely heavily on Google Reviews for my dining experiences in Tacoma. I hope you all read this and learn from my mistakes. There are many thai spots in Tacoma with monumentally better customer service. Check out Royal Thai Bistro! They are super friendly and their food is fresh and flavorful!

Our favorite afternoon date spot. Vegan friendly and 80℅ of their menu is made GLUTEN FREE!!! ***Updating and lowering stars. They may be lying to the community about how vegan they actually are. More to come...*** ***Second update. Further lowering star count. While picking up an order we placed online for menu items we still trusted, I was cornered by the owner, Joy, who recognized my name and matched it to this review. The first part of this interaction seemed to be positive... maybe the former employee who called me at home to tell me I was being deceived WAS wrong...? Not likely. As Joy kept going, she kept naming former employees who she believed gave me this information. She was degrading them, calling them incompetent. She made comments about how they were "just servers" and asked, "Why would I show these girls all of the bottles in my kitchen when they cant even memorize the menu?" She mentioned that she would let me go with her, right then, and see most of the bottles myself. I politely told her that I would consider coming back another time to do so, but that I had no reason to not believe what I was told. TRANSPARENCY: I had a former employee look me up, call me at home, and share with me that some specific items we were being told were vegan, were not being made vegan. She told me the owner would show the servers one thing, but the cooks would show them the actual bottles they use when Joy wasnt around. When I explained this to Joy, her response was more name calling of the former employees (of whom she had no idea WHO I had spoken with....she was just bad mouthing anyone who it could have been). It was incredibly awkward standing there defending her former employees, most of whom I dont know, in front of a growing crowd. It sucks to be attacked in the front of a restaurant for leaving an honest review. Did she think bad mouthing employees and getting upset at me was going to increase her star count? Oh. We ordered fried rice this time. We believe it was vegan and gluten free. But the vegetables I paid extra for were mysteriously missing. So, theres that, too.

المطعم يستحق الزيارة وأنصح به لمن يحب الأكل الآسيوي طلبنا كان تشيكن ساتي اعطيه ١٠/٨ وسبرينغ رول ١٠/٧ كريسبي تشيكن ١٠/٩ ويجي معه رز ابيض وطلبنا أيضاً افوكادو كاري ١٠/١٠ ومعه رز ابيض لا يفووووووتكم جداً لذيذ طلبنا ايضاً فرايد رايس مع جمبري وبعض قطع الأناناس ١٠/٧ هذا تقييم اهلي لكن انا اعطيه ١٠/٩ طلبنا كذلك باك بق اعتقد هذا اسمها المهم هي مكرونه مثل الاندومي غير لذيذه نهائي ومااكلناها بعد طلبنا مكرونه مع لحم غنم نسيت اسمها ١٠/٦ اعجبت فقط صاحب الطلب اما البقية لا .. عموماً المطعم لذيذ والذ شيء الشوربه اللي يقدموها قبل ماتجلس مجاناً وطلبنا منها بعد زياده ايضاً الصوص اللي يجي مع الساتي روووعه والمطعم اسمه على هذا الصوص هو بعد طلبنا منه زياده والرز الابيض تقدرون تطلبون منه بعد تمنياتي لكم بأوقات ممتعة

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED -If there was an option for negative stars, I would use it! I recently opened a business near this restaurant. I have ordered to go three other times & the food was Ok. Not great, but not bad either. I had a craving for thai this week and ordered to go again. I looked at the menu & saw they offered a 1/2 crispy duck.- One of my favorites!! I asked the waitress if it was available and she said yes. When I opened my order at home, I could not believe it! Firstly, there was only a thigh chopped into tiny pieces and 2 very small, I mean pigeon sized, legs cooked to blackness & dust! I took a bite and it was dry & chewy with a very WEIRD aftertaste. I started looking it over & noticed ALL the bone ends were FREEZER BURNT and so were the edges of the meat! I am a cook, I know after looking at that, that they had served me meat that had been previously cooked, then frozen AND THEN THEY RECOOKED IT FOR ME!!!! How DARE anyone serve food like this or treat their customers this way. I am disgusted and will tell EVERYONE I KNOW, as well as posting this review on every website I can find.

My boyfriend and I went here for our date night. It was awful. Third time trying it giving them chances to win us and weve decided were never going back. Undercooked-tasting bland chicken (tasted like it was marinated in water), water tasted like it was sitting in a plastic jug for days and was room temperature. Bland flavors for their Yellow Curry. Asked for a to-go box and they ended up giving us a tiny box (about 6 or 8 oz. in size)that could fit like maybe 5 bites even though my boyfriend had almost full plate still after adding rice. I paid for the food and we left. Disappointed about the flavor and the price paid. Eat here with caution. They do however have wonderful service. The staff was polite and full of smiles, and very timely.
