This place is located in the near dead and dying business Park ghost town on Mildred street. Its between the dairy Queen and the now defunked keg restaurant. The decor inside hasnt changed since the day it was built, so it has that real mid 80s feel to it. Unfortunately that is probably the last time the bathrooms were cleaned too. The service was really horrible. The waitress treated our large party of about ten people as if we were a pile of steaming hot dog turd. If we wanted anything we had to either go to the bar and get it ourselves or light flares to get the waitresses attention. The food was not very good, not that I expected a five star meal, but this place was a cross between Dennys and the goofy goose. The beer selection was pretty typical I think. Nothing special. Here is a great tip, if you have the urge to drink beer around this part of town, skip the ale house, go to Fred Meyer and buy a sandwich from the deli and take it with you on your way to the Pint Defiance tap room across the street from the ale house on Mildred. You will have a way better experience. The ale house is like hanging out at the Puyallup fair beer garden.

Unfortunately since the Alehouse has reopened under new ownership it isnt what it used to be. I read the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. The service was fair however the waiter seemed very rush and forgot a few things. The place was not hopping busy when we went so there was no need for him to rush as much as he did. We ordered the Irish nachos .. a great concept poorly delivered. The "slow cooked corned beef" was slices of corned beef lunchmeat. The corned beef I recently bought a Trader Joes looked more authentic. The cheese sauce was good but it could have used a little more, a bigger helping of green onions would have been good too. I would also recommend a mustard dipping sauce. The calamari was mediocre .. it was tender enough but lacked flavor. The aioli sauce was delicious but they need to give you more and an additional lemon wedge would have been nice since the calalmari really needed it for the flavor. We will most likely not go back until we hear that things have improved there. Sorry.

So done with this place. Last two times there the wait staff suck, but I dont blame them. Because I feel it is the management that should be watching over the staff. Adding items to orders seem to also be issue. There for event and ordered mac & cheese. The order came with a piece of chicken (kinda odd), then the bill comes and we see a charge for it. After the event, we find out that it happened to others. NOT COOL.. Also who ever is in charge of booking events should learn how to book events. Folks this is not rocket science and doesnt take a 4 year degree to put a name calendar to avoid double booking of events. Not only are you losing the business of the company doing the event but also the customers. At first we were excited that this place had reopened after being closed for sometime. Now, we will be avoiding the place like the plague!

Pros: 1 real shuffle board (non-operational) dri erase board score board. 2 medalist dart board, (one has a broken dollar bill acceptor) Cons: Service is kinda slow Food is average No food specialty (You know like has mastered cheese bread or something like that) -UP DATE- I just changed my review to a one star rating. Our order was messed up Multiple times throughout multiple drink orders. (4) At which point they cut us off for being too loud,There was a group of 4 of us playing shuffleboard And cheering each-other on. They said we were being too loud to be served anymore. I will not be coming back here and I do not recommend this place.)

Love, love, love all the choices in beer (64!!!!) and Im happy to have my local "pub" back after being closed for two years. Service can be slow, but we dont go there if we are in a hurry and we always have a good time. The servers are friendly. The food is good too. My favorite appetizer is the home made chips and the burgers are good. Atmosphere is laid back and friendly. If you have kids, there is a family section in front. Restrooms are newly remodeled and clean.

Their club sandwich is amazing. Not sure what brand of meat they use, but its like boars head quality, definitely not thats pressed seaweed filler crap. The nachos are pretty good, but ask for extra napkins. They definitely hired the right kitchen manager post-fire. Staff is friendly and personable, but they did have karaoke, so -1 star because Im a dick! Definitely check it out if you havent been since they reopened!

Its not what it use to be. They cut their beer tabs from 65 to 35. Their food isnt good anymore. Fake cheese on the nachos? Not impressed. They are trying to make it into a college hang out and as someone not into that seen Im super turned off by the place now. The wait staff is inattentive unless youre sitting at the bar. They lost their best bar tender. Its just really not the bar it was before. Sorry to say.

It is so sad, but this bar has gone so down hill. The prices have gone up, the food quality has gone down, and the new serving staff pay no attention at all. The only good thing about this bar still was the bartender Joel, and even he has gone down part time. We were so excited for this place to reopen after the fire, and it is just one huge let down.

We always get five star service here. The staff cares about what they do. A great place to kick back and have a brew. Good music and plenty of screens for all the Sounders and Seahawks action. Truly great hamburgers. Come for your favorite brew, stay for the 63 others they have on tap. If you want to explore WA beers, this is the place.

This used to be my favorite local pub. Since it reopened, Ive been back three times. They ran out of food on one occasion, were out of my favorite beer the second time, and this morning I waited over an hour for my food. My sons soda was flat, my coffee cup went empty twice and the table was dirty. What a disappointment.

We stopped in at the Ale House tonight before the Rainiers game. Justin was awesome: although we got there early in the evening and there was a big party in the dining area, he took care of us and was great with our kids. Im expecting thisll be our new pre-Rainiers hangout.

Just reopened this last week after 2 years. I had to go check it out. I enjoyed a juicy bacon cheese burger on a brioche bun and mind blowing order of Poutine! 64 Brews on tap, clean, spacious, friendly helpful staff and plenty of easy parking. Good job guys!

Super Fun
I had the breakfast burrito, coffee and lemonade. Not the best breakfast burrito but when hungry... Eat! They were nice enough to change some of the TVs to games we wanted to watch but when the Seahawks are playing forget it! All TVs on that game then.
