I had been to the Bremerton Bar & Grill once previously. Tonight was my second visit and there were so many problems. We were a group of seven sitting at two tables next to each other. When I arrived to meet our party, the waitress stopped by, but did not take my drink order. I asked about happy hour and it ended in roughly fifteen minutes. Approximately thirteen minutes later, she came back to take our orders. They were clearly understaffed, so I tried to be understanding and we did order in time. Food started to trickle out of the kitchen quickly, but not at the same time. The burgers took quite a bit longer to reach our table. My husband ordered the Happy Hour Smokey Cheddar Waffle Fries as did our friend at the table next to us. My husband received a tiny portion on a tiny plate. Our friends portion was large and on a much bigger plate. Another friend ordered a hamburger and fries. He added bacon to his burger. The bacon was charred and he described the flavor as burned popcorn. I ordered the Mini BBQ Burgers. They came in a set of three. The first two were delicious. The third tasted like salmon. It was disgusting. I hurried to the bathroom to spit it out. GROSS! The Good: Coffee and My First two Mini BBQ Burgers The Bad: EVERYTHING ELSE

We went and saw a movie across the street at Seefilm then took our stubs for the quote "free appetizers" with ordering food that you supposedly get according to the website. After ordering one appetizer of onion rings to share, the waitress brought them out and we ordered our other food and handed over the movie stubs. The waitress explained it was policy that the tickets could now only be used for small appetizers which limits it to about three things, and we couldnt combine them for the appetizer that was only a dollar more. If you read other reviews the three appetizers such as the calmari are the ones that get bad writeups. The service was in the toilet, we where long done with a dish such as appetizers before dinner showed up, then about 10 minutes after being done with main course before waitress came back by and asked if we wanted anything else. In total the waitress stopped at our table maybe 5 times because we ordered dessert. We got so tired of waiting for the bill that after it finally came we tried to hand the credit card over to pay and she walked off leaving bill and card on our table. We walked up to the grill window where she was chatting and handed over our tab with cash to pay and walked out.

I have been here three times now and it seems to have gotten worse every time. The third (and last) time we didnt even eat, we ended up leaving after they sat us at a filthy table and disappeared. I really want to like this place, its a great location and the building was nicely remodeled. If the food and service could just up it a notch, or seven, Id be willing to try it again. If I hear that things have changed since the writing of this I may try it again but as it stands right now, I wont be back. Here are the reasons I wont be back because I hate empty reviews. The service is painfully slow unless you sit at the bar. The food is bland and very "Dennys" in taste and presentation while the prices are "Seattle-ish." For the record I dont have any problem paying higher prices for a quality product, I just cant make the jump from their prices to the quality of the experience. Ive heard some people have had a decent experience here, I have just been unlucky enough to get even one out of three and that, to me, is a strike-out.

We made reservations two days ahead thinking that we would guarantee that there would be adequate servers and cooks to accommodate our group of fifty. Boy were we wrong. Luckily they didnt brew their own beer because when it came an hour and a half later it was the only thing worth writing about. Our group didnt all get fed before they we kicking us out to unfortunately welcome another group, the manager wouldnt admit their fault in the whole evening and tried to escalate confrontation. Dont be deceived an book the vault thinking it is going to be fun, it is a room of server and management confusion that should be avoided like the plague. If you are in the mood for terrible service, poor atmosphere, horribly prepared food and a confrontation with the manager than you are in for a treat because the Bremerton Bar and Grill offers this and more! With a place as lovely as this its no wonder why this area of town is dead.

First the good: My Co-Worker reports that the Garden Burger was amazing. The Wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. NOW THE BAD: Co-Worker and I went on our lunch hour, and ended up having to get the food to go because it took so long and we were still late back to work. My French Fries were cold, and not cold from walking back to work style cold, but barely out of the freezer style cold. Conclusion: We work in the area and this wasnt our first trip, but it will be our last for a very long time. Because the meal took so long the wait staff gave us coupons for free appetizers or dessert for the next visit which was nice. However this is the 3 time that this has happened and already have a stack of free appetizer coupons. I gave it 2 stars because they got my co-workers meal right. If it was based on my meal alone it would be 1 star only because I couldnt go lower.

I wanted to edit this post because in the last year BBG has changed their happy hour menu to where the dishes are pretty much get what you pay for, or less. My favorite hummus plate used to be HUGE - and is now half the size and they took out half the sides. Even their macaroni bowls are different and smaller. :( Kinda sad about this - we dont come as often, but I still give it 4 stars. We were really impressed with this place! We just moved to the area and were dropping off my mom at the ferry and need a quick place to eat. I had no idea their happy hour was so awesome! We had a bowl of their amazing macaroni with chicken and bacon and it was so good. Also their draft prices couldnt be beat. They also had some great craft brews on tap. Loved it and well be back! Also, staff was really nice and accomodating even with our kids!

WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT CROWDED AT ALL. THE WAITRESS GREETED ME AND SAT ME AT A TABLE OUTSIDE. SHE SAID SHE WOULD BE RIGHT BACK WITH WATER. 15 MINUTES LATER SHE HADNT SHOWN SO I WALKED INSIDE AND ASKED ANOTHER WAITRESS IF I COULD SIT INSIDE AND ORDER. I ASKED WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIRST WAITRESS. SHE WAS THERE AND SHE SAID TO ME, I FORGOT!! THEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER, AND HE SAID, SHE FORGOT. HOW RUDE AND INSULTING AND DISRESPECTFUL. BAD SERVICE IS ONE THING, BUT THAT WAS DOWNRIGHT RUDE AND INSULTING. IT SEEMED THAT EVERY OTHER TABLE WAS RECEIVING DECENT SERVICE FROM THEIR WAIT STAFF. THAT WAITRESS AND MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED FOR SUCH HORRIFIC TREATMENT OF A PATRON!!
