I just dont get the low reviews (admittedly from some time ago, so it might have changed since then). We were just there today, and it was wonderful. Our servers smile was infectious, and the service was spot on - neither hovering nor inattentive. As far as the portions and prices go - well, its Tapas, folks. Im pretty sure thats Spanish for small portions and (usually) higher-than expected prices. But thats OK, because those portions are absolutely delicious. You dont go to a Tapas place to order a big plate of food for yourself. You go there to order a bunch of little delights to share with your friends, slowly gnoshing and enjoying the company. It was a great place to go for Fathers Day for exactly that reason. Among other things my family of 4 (including two teenagers) had the chorizo/chipotle mac & cheese (amazing), the bacon-wrapped dates (surprisingly good, given that Im not a fan of dates...), bacon-wrapped roasted mushrooms (positively evil). The entire event took about 90 minutes, everybody had enough to eat - even the teenagers - and the total bill was just over $80. Its not someplace Ill go to every day, mind you - but Ill definitely be back. And I suspect that the deli next door thats run by the same people will see some of my business in the very near future as well. Well done, Paella Bar. Well done.

The Paella Bar in Poulsbo offers some different fare from many typical places in Poulsbo. There are a few great dishes as well as some that fell short of expectations. Some of the highlights were during their very generous happy hour on from 1:30 to 5:00 during our visit on Sunday. The happy hour menu winners choice were the artichokes deep fried with a seasoned panko crust atop a light dipping sauce. There were 4 per serving. We found that a few things were disappointing... We ordered lamb meatballs from thr regular menu listed at $10.50. What we received were 4 golf-ball sized balls that were over cooked, dry, burned on one side and had about 2 tablespoonfuls of sauce that lacked flavor. The white beans with chorizo and clams were ok, but the beans were slightly undercooked not yet reaching the buttery, creamy texture the bean was known for. All totaled $67.00 before tip, it left us feeling a little disappointed this visit. If youre trying the Paella Bar for the first time, try going at happy hour and test on a budget. Weve had some good dishes here, yet for the price, there should be more attention to detail in the preparation of some dishes.

Burrata Bistro is an absolutely amazing addition to Poulsbo. The people of Poulsbo usually get the shaft when it comes to fine dining, NOT ANYMORE!! I went for my first time on a busy Saturday night but not once did I feel rushed or neglected due to the fact the place was packed. Because I am younger, nicer establishments like this tend to give us terrible service and tend to pay more attention to the older folks, probably assuming they are better tippers. Not our waitress! Our waitress was so fantastic, I could not thank her more for everything she did. She paid special attention to our needs and offered her suggestions for wines and food and I can’t say how amazing she was. And the food... Oh my goodness I could have eaten more than my stomach could fit because it couldn’t say no! I had the chicken lasagna with spinach and it was melt in your mouth yummy!!! The veal cannelloni was simply to die for and the desserts... well that is just another story all together. If you want fine dining, amazing food at VERY reasonable prices, Burrata Bistro is where you want to be!!!

My family dined at the Burrata Bistro last evening, and I can assure you, we wont be back. When we arrived (with reservations) the waiter stumbled through the restaurant unable to find our assigned table for several minutes; he truly seemed lost. Upon ordering, we found the wine to be exceptionally pedestrian and the mixed drink weak. Worse yet was the Cannelloni my wife and I ordered, and the four-cheese pasta our adult son struggled with. Although we were rather excited to experience this bistro after hearing rave reviews from our friends, a frozen pot pie at home would have been exceptionally better.

I love having a Spanish Tapas option in Kitsap County. I am big fan of many options they have on the menu, and the waitstaff is consistently great, really friendly, and attentive, even when they are slammed. My only beef is that the food is inconsistent. I love the garlic prawns half the time, the cod fritter portions are really great about half the time, and so on, just not really consistent. But the desserts are always on point. They are all really good, my favorites are the Apricot Bread Pudding, and the Mocha Flan. The ambience is excellent as well, and they have a pretty decent selection of Spanish.

WE havent been there yet; going this evening...BUT, DO NOT accept the page attached to that KING5 TV site as anything remotely like the truth. The word "burrata" is SPANISH. Paella is a SPANISH dish. KING5 has them nominated for "Best ITALIAN Restaurant" in their annual Viewers Poll. Hard to believe that NOBODY involved in that poll ever stopped to ask why someone would be serving Paella at an Italian restaurant but there it is. If you come to Burrata looking for Italian food, youre gonna be sorely disappointed. I had to give stars to get this site to post this note. Ill properly review it later.

Burata is the Kitsap peninsulas best kept secret. The best restaurant outside of Seattle, the genius comes with perfect execution of the basics. Never pretentious or over-the-top gourmet, the service, presentation, flavors, menu and value have been exceptional every one of the 12 times I have dined there. Of special interest: the paella and goat cheese red peppers on the Spanish side; the beef rib and tiramisu on the Italian side. Enjoy. (I was not given any incentive for this review. I am solely a customer who believes in rewarding and supporting exceptional local businesses.)

The reviews were enough to entice me to make a reservation - and our Saturday, Feb 13th dinner (for 2) was just superb. Great atmosphere, attentive service, delicious food. I ordered the meatballs from the appetizer menu and paired this with a caesar salad to create a main course, and the meatballs were the best ever. So light, because they were made with ricotta cheese, and in a house-made tomato sauce that was exceptional because it wasnt too salty, but it was tangy and flavorful. A wonderful evening! Dont think twice - make a reservation and go!!

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner here for 19 and I could not have been happier with the experience. The food was excellent, the wine choices were very good. Every plate was served at the same time and was hot and well prepared. The deserts were amazing. Our waitress was very efficient and did not miss a thing and there were no mix ups. We wish to thank Kim and her staff for a very enjoyable evening. It just could not have gone any better. Many thanks for a lovely party.

Amazing quality tapas for very reasonable prices! Best food in town! Great wine! Just the smell of this place as you walk by lets you know the food is incredible! I moved from Portland, OR where we had several high quality tapas restaurants and was delighted to find I could get tapas in Poulsbo that were as good or better than at the fancy city restaurants for about 2/3 the price. Truly excellent food!
