Ive been going to Tubs for years but after my experience tonight, I wont return. Actually, its a combination of experiences that have led to ending my patronage of this business. For the past several years I have felt that their prices are to high for a sub, chips and a drink. The quality of their product is above average but for the money, I would rather eat at Subway or Jimmy Johns. Also, Tubs Subs posts their closing time as 7 PM. However, they refuse orders after 6:45. The vast majority of food vendors will stop production at closing time, not a quarter of an hour before closing time, particularly when they are just making sandwiches. The final straw came tonight when I was ordering 3 sandwiches for take out. I wanted 3 large sandwiches but was informed that they only had small sized 6 inch white bread, but that they had foot long wheat bread. I asked if I could get 2 smalls for the price of a large and the order-taker/cashier said that he had only been charging the small sized price all day. When pressed, he said he could ask his manager, who had been standing a mere 4 feet away making a sandwich. The manager replied, without even bothering to turn around to face me, mumbled something about "it would use too much product" and no, I could not have 2 small sandwiches for the price a 1 large sandwich. What has happened to basic customer service? The good will it would have created over a few cents of giving away "too much product" was too high a price to keep a loyal customer I guess. So my years of buying overpriced sandwiches at Tubs Subs has ended. I will not be going back.

I have been to several good sandwich shops looking for yummy vegetarian sandwiches. Tubs Gourmet Subs makes that list. On my first trip I wasnt sure of the sized of the sandwiches so I got the large. I should have know from the price how big it was going to be. But I finished it, and was happy to do so. The baguette was delicious, and the ingredients, on a whole, were all very good. Service was fast, though I was not there at a peak hour. The cost might be a little to high for some to be able to make Tubs a regular spot for sandwiches, but on a hungry afternoon, it just might be the right place. I appreciate when a menu features vegetarian specific dishes or concoctions rather than just taking a successful meat item and replacing it with a fake meat substitute, and Tubs does this with a selection of vegetarian sandwiches. My one note about the two sandwiches I tried, is that the vegetarian filler that Tubs makes is only just "good". It didnt subtract from the sandwich, or distract me either. It just didnt add flavor the way I expected it to. Still they were very good sandwiches. Ill be back to Tubs Gourmet Subs, and I recommend it to others.

I have given up on this place. If you buy a half a sandwich or a whole one that comes with Bar B-Q sauce you get the same small amount of sauce barely enough for a half sandwich. If you ask for extra sauce you have to pay for it. If I buy a large sandwich it should come with a large sauce. I used to go there often but on principal, I got tired of paying extra for the sauce. Just another way to nickle and dime a customer away. I like the sandwiches though.

If youre in Seattle and youre craving a delicious sandwich, there are three places that locals frequent. One is The Other Coast Cafe in Ballard, one is Fremonts Paseos, and one is Tubs Gourmet Sub Sandwiches. For some spice, get the Cuban, for Sicilian deliciousness, try the Godfather, and for something unique - give the Hawaiian a shot. Whatever you pick, youre sure to love your order.

Good little shop. Decent food. Quality ingredients. My fav gonna have to be bacon avacado lettuce and tomatoe with extra bacon. Satisfies my insides right. 3 out of 5 it isnt some mind blowing place and the higher prices (large sandwich a drink and a side nearly 18 bucks) keep it from really hitting that 4 stars. Clean and respectable. I eat there around once a month.

We came here on the recommendation from one of our clients, and we were really glad we did! From the outside, it may not stand out as anything special, but all 6 of us loved our subs! They were great! From the warm and fresh bread, to the sauces and combinations of ingredients, it was great! Im definitely going again!

Ok best sandwiches in town, honestly. Theyre all made on thick yummy baguette and all the ingredients are real and fresh. The phoenix and the cowboy are my personal favs. Kind if sparse and simple eating area so I usually get take-out and theyre soups are ok (nothing special ) but other than that Tubs Rocks!

Even sub Ive had here has been fantastic. Jokers Dip is my favorite by far. Food is good, comes out in a decent amount of time. The only downside is the parking. There is a little over a dozen spots for a handful of businesses so during lunch time, its very difficult to find a place to park.

Have tried most of the sandwiches here, and I still have not found one that I didnt like! The staff is always friendly. I do have one complaint though, you have to have cash if you want to leave a tip! I rarely carry cash, and they are so good that I feel bad not being able to leave a tip.

So hard to write with sauce on my phone. But have get this off my chest. This is a damn good sandwich. The bread is perfect and they have a good selection of sandwiches to choose from. A subway sandwich is just that, like rising a subway. This sandwich is cruising in a limo.

I love this place. Great, tasty subs that are truly creative. Toasted to perfection, seasoned correctly and loaded on... These sandwiches do not disappoint. A small is more than enough for a heavy eater. Did I mention they are super nice and also have stickers?

Heres what you get...one hell of a sandwich. BUT, you are going to pay for it. Even for such a good place ten bucks for a foot long sub sandwich seems a bit excessive. Nevertheless I cant stop myself from splurging for a joker from time to time.

Just recently checked this off my "Must do in Seattle" list. The bread was fresh baked and the ingredients were fresh. I ordered The Joker, based on a recommendation from a friend. The au jus was very tasty. Great sub- cant wait to go back!

The quality of a sub is primarily determined by the quality of the bread. Tubs uses French baguettes which are better than the chemicals at Subway, but not up to the level of Port O Subs which gets their rolls from Gais bakery.

Tubs had been a great sub shop for many many years. I explore the menu, and am never disappointed. It can be a little busy around lunch, when the local high school is in session. Worth the drive and wait!!

These are the best toasted subs in the state! Unique combinations layered on perfectly toasted baguettes are served by cheerful young adults in a super casual dining room. You will not be disappointed.
