Darling little place, food was yummy (I had the breakfast panini) and my coffee was okay (looked like it was iced tea when I ordered a triple shot iced Americano, black and heard one girl say to the other "about half that much water next time, so you can fit in all the shots". Ummm, how about make MINE correctly THIS time?? I would say I wouldnt be back because of the service and lack of personality from the staff (zero smiles and no greeting when I came thru the door and waited 3-4 minutes to be acknowledged)...but Im always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. Ill try again another weekend soon and see what happens. P.s. Im a barista Monday thru Friday at another establishment far from here...this is closer to where I live. The MOST IMPORTANT thing at our place is amazing coffee and OUTSTANDING service.

HAIR in my veggie wrap !! Wow, is the hair I found in my veggie wrap suppose to be there ? I think not. My hair is straight, extremely short and drk brown. This hair was wavy, long and strawberry blond, reddish color. Obviously not mine and several customers agreed. I was so disgusted I couldnt even finished my latte. I simply asked for my $ back and the gal that was working (she was the only person working at the time) appeared annoyed by my asking. I drove home as fast as I could and brushed my teeth and rinsed several times with hydrogen peroxide. OMG!! So disgusting!! I will not be back to this place ever again. I DO NOT LIKE HAIR IN MY FOOD!!! This NEVER happened when Debra owned this place !

The atmosphere here is great, service is really pleasant and accommodating plus there is free WiFi. You can get breakfast, lunch, snacks, smoothies, bubble tea, regular tea, pastries and your normal plethora of espresso beverages. Nothing is pristine which in my opinion adds to the small town character of the place. Seating is plentiful and set up in various ways to welcome the single stopper to a large group. I normally drink a plain soy latte but their mocha is rich and delicious as well. Perfect to stop at for study groups, coffee dates, real dates or just by yourself. Well behaved pets have been welcomed in with our parties. Overall, just a wonderful, comfortable place to be.

I love this place! When I still lived in Des Moines and went to Highline Community College, I would always come here for a quick bite, some coffee and do my homework. Its usually pretty quiet, and they have cozy booths up against the windows. Their coffee has been some of the best that Ive ever had! I definitely recommend the crepes, and their paninis are also delicious. Its usually very crowded in the morning here, so if you want to hang out for a while I suggest you come in the afternoon! The staff is always friendly, and the food/coffee stays consistent even if the employees change. If youre in Des Moines, this is a must-go!

One of my favorite places to grab some coffee and read! My husband and I started coming here when we first started dating and have continued to enjoy this shop ever since. There are larger tables for those days when we want to play a board game and cozy nooks for when we want to bring our books. The decor is so unique (lots of fun chandeliers) and the fireplace adds a home-like touch. They have a large selection of food for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Although Im not crazy about the baked goods. If you find yourself at marine view espresso make sure you get a sugar and spice crepe!

I use to live in a condo just behind this amazing Cafe. Marine View changed my perspective on tea all together by making me an incredibly smooth-black tea that tasted like a sweet, velvet marshmallow. I have to throw kudos to their food menu as well. You do have plenty to select from but you truly dont need any more options being that every thing offered is extremely tasty! Sincerely, a very picky eater and a harsh critic.

I am very disappointed in Marine View Espresso. I have tried to order my favorite wrap for a dinner item twice and they have told me that they are closing early. The first time this happened was at 5:15. Today they told me no to my order at 4:40. If you are not going to be open then change your hours so that customers know what to expect. I am frustrated with your service times.

The coffee is fantastic. One of the few places where I could really taste the notes in the coffee. Sit back, relax, dont be in a hurry. If youre in a hurry, go to Starbucks. The panini options are delicious. Ive had the Italian and breakfast ones, and was very pleased with both. The fam ordered crepes and really like them too, especially the berry one.

The women who are at the counter are awfully rude. They never get any order right and never apologize for getting it wrong. The orders come out after almost 45 minutes of wait though this place is never crowded. I used to like going to this place before, the girls where nicer back then. I would highly not recommend this place. Very bad behavior.

Came here to get some bubble teas. What a surprise! This little place reminds me of Jewel Box at Northgate - similar vibe and menu. Both Hola Nola and Taro were great, but they could have been better if not blended with ice. Will try crepe and Zoka coffee next time. The staff who served us was very friendly, and we will definitely come again.

This place is a great place to meet friends for a good cup of coffee or espresso. Also, they serve crepes, both sweet and savory. The mixed berry crepe is awesome! They also serve up sandwiches, both deli style, and panini. My family has been there several times, the food and service are always the best! Prices are reasonable as well.

I cant express to you, dear reader how much I love this little cafe. The coffee is amazing, the staff super friendly, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and inspiring. Whenever were in the area and want coffee this is our spot! I have never eaten here but the food smells great and they actually use a little grill! Yum!

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly baristas, relaxing seating, music that is both relaxing and popular, inexpensive prices and quality products. In contrast, Starbucks is more expensive and doesn't taste as good, the music is annoying, wooden chairs, pretentious baristas, too much traffic

Just went for a cup of tea and stone conversation with a friend. I didnt try their food but I saw that they serve crepes. The fire behind the counter was very nice and they let my friends toy poodle in. I really liked the set up. Its very cozy. I will probably go much more often.

Excellent little coffee shop. I go in there to do my studying quite often. The wifi is fast and convenient and the seating layout works great for some privacy to study or just talk with a friend. The coffee is good and I would recommend this place to anyone.

The staff here is always friendly - the coffee good. Its a regular stop for me when Im working in Des Moines. I tried the crepes about a year ago and was not disappointed. I saw a plate of them go out today and they looked as good as ever.
