If you are craving fine French dining, RN74 is the place to go! We ordered: A selection of Taylor Shellfish Oysters. Very sweet and fresh, with just a hint of brine. Michael Minas Classic Ahi Tuna Tartare. Well seasoned yet light. Very fresh - not a hint of fishiness. The pine nuts added a pop of texture and flavor. They served it with some white toast which was kind of weirdly bland and boring. The portion size was quite small for the price. Still, this was one of my favorites of the night. Simple concept, excellent execution. Roasted La Belle Foie Gras Doughnut. I was expecting great things of this dish! Sadly I think the sauce (berries and honey?) was too sweet and strong, overpowering the foie gras. In the end it mostly tasted just like a normal doughnut and not as spectacular as I was hoping. Alaskan King Crab Pot Pie. I was also expecting great things of this dish, and it delivered! The presentation was a bit of a show: the server brought a plate with braised carrots and other vegetables (all cooked to perfection), on which he placed a round of puff pastry (flaky and buttery), on which he spooned huge chunks of king crab (oh, the crab, it was sweet and succulent and firm without being chewy in the least...everything you want crab to be...my mouth is watering just thinking about it now), on which he poured a cream sauce (rich and flavorful and tying everything together). Everything on the plate came together really well, all the different textures and flavors complemented each other. I highly recommend this dish. (FYI this dish is listed at MP, which was $68 for us last night - YMMV.) RR Ranch Beef Short Rib Bourguignon. The beef was very tender and flavorful, but nothing about this dish really stood out to me. A tad over salted. Duck Fat Fries. AMAZING. Bursting with flavor and just the perfect crispiness. A satisfying crunch with every bite. Logically I know they must be really fattening but they didnt taste greasy at all! Actually I think these might be among the best fries I have ever tasted. Warning: an addiction may form if you order these fries...they probably sprinkle them with crack or something because I couldnt get enough of them. Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Roasted "Paris" Mushrooms. Lumping these two together because I felt the same about them: tasty, and good side dishes to round out the meal, but nothing really special about them. Overall: the dishes varied in quality, but the better ones were REALLY good and even the not-as-good ones were still solid. The atmosphere was classy yet relaxed. Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had lots of questions with the menu and he offered great suggestions. Only downside is the dishes arrived very slowly (dinner took quite a bit longer than average - so dont try to schedule anything right after dinner!).

Took my boyfriend out to dinner here for a special occasion. The restaurant is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. Our waitress was very nice and the food was awesome. We had such a fantastic experience here. For an appetizer we ordered the tuna tartare. they mixed it up table side. This dish is crazy good! One of the best tuna tartare Ive had. I ordered the Pan Roasted Hatcher Chicken. The chicken was amazing! So much flavor. The mushrooms were too salty and the "gnocchi" was not really gnocchi. They were good, but just not gnocchi. My boyfriend got the steak frites and he absolutely loved it. The fries were some of the best fries weve had in a long time! Super crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with a great garlic flavor. For dessert we got the apple tartin. perfect size! The thing I didnt like was it had a very strong burnt taste to it, like the caramel was burnt. I could not figure out where it was coming from. It kind of ruined the dish for me. Will definitely be going back!

Probably the best meal I have had in Seattle. They do very classic dishes but they do them really well. They also are big on wine and sommeliers here know there stuff. I was treated to a multi course dinner and wine pairing that really allowed me to experience their menu and there was nothing on it I didnt like. Their cassoulet was uber rich and delicious. Their scallops on the other hand, were light and delicate. Their starters of ahi tuna crisps, maitake tempura mushrooms (OMG), and other little canapes were all delicious. I dont even remember what dessert was but it was divine. Ive also come for lunch and had an equally good experience. I had their daily special which was a cioppino and probably the best Ive ever had. I love that their portions arent humongous but they also dont leave you wanting more, I think because of their flavor and richness. Their prices for lunch are quite reasonable. I definitely want to come check out their happy hour some time!

Really happy with this place. Great atmosphere, first class wait staff and of course (what truly matters) outstanding food. Make a reservation as they are popular of late. Staff treated us well, giving us two appetizers on the house while we waited for the table before us to clear out. (Side note, if you are late for your reservation dont dilly dally..you arent the only people in the world and are probably holding up some peeps that are hungry). All cocktails I had were great and I love everything. Id absolutely get the fried mushrooms again, not something Id imagine would be so outstanding but Im still thinking about them. The duck, a must as well as the beef bourguignon. Overall Im comfortable you wont run into much that will let you down.

ok I get that this place is pricey... but for a foodie like me this place is more than worth it! I came here for dinner and I cannot say enough about how truly special the food + cocktail is. I had the RN74 special maple Manhattan cocktail and wow so they know how make a Manhattan here... simply sublime. For appetizer I tried the Escargot and it was simply ambrosia.... the herb and garlic mix with the added pastry was an interesting twist. For main course I ordered the wet-aged fillet (mostly because I had had so much seafood up to this point)... I have to say the steak was exquisite. I also ordered a side of mushroom which complimented the steak really well. Hats off to the cheff ... this was a truly satisfying experience!

Went for an early diner with coworkers. Staff were courteous and service was prompt and as expected. The bar does not serve beer on tap which I found lacking at a restaurant which identifies itself as a brasserie. Even the beer list could be considered on the limited side. The Boston lettuce salad was very simple but the dressing was the highlight with its flavors of rosemary and tarragon. The halibut was cooked to perfection, moist and flaky, but puree and the beans served with it totally overpowered the flavor of the fish. The gnocchi was well prepared and tasted very good. We missed this time on dessert. I would probably come back but not in the near future and definitely not for a business dinner.

Such a great happy hour spot in downtown. Some of the food choices I recommend on thr happy hour menu include mac and cheese (love it), the skewers (lean meet and tasty) and the hush puppies. A few things to stay away from would be the duck fat fries (way to much garlic) and thr sliders (way to small and not enough meat). The bar is perfectly placed and great for people watching. The cocktails even those on the happy menu are good but do lean towards being a little pricey so take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to come bere. There also is an extensive wine list for those who arent into cocktails.
