I grew up on the southwest side of town and am glad to see Pepperdocks as one of the few places on Alki that have not been taken over by new development. The restaurant has a little beach shack feel that is hard to find many other places in the city (although you cant forget their wonderful neighbors, Spuds). The burgers are tasty and they have a good menu on all fronts, including standards like fish or chicken and chips. But a trip to Pepperdocks isnt complete without their very own fried mushrooms with ranch dip. This delicious side brought me into the world of mushrooms for the first time, and has since converted several of my previously mushroom-hating friends. Not lunch time? Stop in for a milkshake or ice cream cone. This varied menu makes Pepperdocks a great (albeit crowded) stop for your day at Alki during the summer as well as a nice eatery with a waterfront view when its cold and gloomy out.

The gentleman in green t shirt was very nice to my friend who is white but made me feel rushed trying the ice cream and was rude at check out. I ended up getting the flavor I didnt like because I felt bad trying mote flavors. When I asked for a cup of water, he raised his hand and didnt want to talk to me. He made me feel like I was less if a customer because I am Asian but was polite to my friend who is white. I will not recommend to people who dont want to get discriminated.

The food quality has gone downhill fast.The burger was so full of gristle that after I choked down the first half, the second half went in the trash. Not even fit for the dog. I substituted onion rings for fries and I was a little upset that you only get 4 onion rings. and theyre not even that big. I dont think onions could be sliced thinner. Are onions that expensive? dont think so. Move along, there are a lot of better places on this street.

Great Burger on the Beach. Fries are not fresh cut, but should be. This is the only thing holding back my final star! I have been a regular there for 30 plus years. Service is goodish for the beach . . . . . if the owner is there it is perfect. But all fast food places have to hire kids, so its like everywhere else that has fast food at the Beach! Ice cream is great for the kids. Lots of choices and they get to have their cone on the Beach.

I liked the food they serve. Their fish and chips was good. The fish coating was very flavorful and spicy. I tried their fries mushroom and pepper dog. The mushroom was awesome the pepper dog was okay. This place is a hidden gem near alki beach. The food they serve seems very fresh.

This place brings back memories of great views and somewhat mediocre food/ service. The best thing was (2003-2005) the cable techs used the loading zone for easy parking. Hey, if any of you old cable guys are still left out in SW sorry about your luck. 3064 out!

A little higher priced than Youre "Fast food burger joints" but worth the visit! The King burger is the bomb and very tasty Onion rings with that and fries to boot. My only disappointment was a drink was extra? Oh well, life in Paradise.

Really, the reason to come here is the fish. They use good quality whitefish, and the batter is well-seasoned and crispy, if a bit oily. And they have vinegar. Da kine.
