This is my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. I dont even live in Greenwood anymore, and I still stop by Makeda. We buy drinks and the Na Pali whole beans. The staff is always friendly, and so are the other customers. Downside=theyve been out of chocolate twice and ice once in the times Ive been there :(

Some of the very best coffee in town served in an amazingly friendly neighborhood coffee shop. Dog friendly (as long as your dog is friendly) and also one of the places to find the delicious Rooftop Brewing beer.

While the coffee is good, the shop it self is... borderline filthy. Sitting at the counter I could always see a huge pile of what looked like garbage, stacked waist high completely blocking the back entrance.
