We went on a Friday night, which includes a belly dancer during a few hours of the dinner rush. The strengths of this restaurant were the atmosphere/decor, pleasant service, and amount of food provided. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable cushion backed pillowbooths, ottoman seating cushions, metal engraved round tables, and pleasant lighting. For a couple, sitting in the pillowed booths is very nice, but the ottoman seating might wear on ones back. Very nice ethnic music was played at reasonable levels and the dancer was entertaining, accommodating children wanting to dance near her, and even found some adults to teach a little bit of dancing. For a Muslim family, they might want to be seated in a place where there is no dancer due to the dancers dress. The service was excellent, dirty plates removed, glasses filled without asking. Any requests were quickly responded to. Now for the food. We were presented with a menu for a 5 course meal, $25/ person. Eating at a good restaurant will generally cost $50 once youve ordered all the necessities like bread, rice, tea, and dessert. Probably the only difference is here you dont get to choose, with the exception of the main course. However, there was a wide variety of main courses to choose from. I found that not having to choose all the additional things was in a way relaxing and exciting. We were truly being served a meal. Where the true disappointment lied was the taste of the food. Nearly all of the food was bland. My previous experience with Moroccan food included a variety of spicy foods and sauces with traditional flat bread. This food was quite different. I did ask the waitress if the food was authentic Moroccan. I was told their chef is Moroccan and the food cooked in an authentic style as you might expect in Morocco. The 5 course meal: 1) A bean and lentil soup was served. This was by far the tastiest part of the meal. It was a little extra peppery, but it had a nice flavor. 2) A "salad" which consisted of what looked like minced carrots and chopped tomatoes and maybe avocado. It kind of tasted like salsa, and was served with a baked white bread. It was good. 3) A round pastry consisting of philo-dough and stuffed with minced chicken and some kind of nut. The outside of the pastry was strangely topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. This dish was surprisingly dry and bland. I think it would would have been better with some type of vegetable inside too and some kind of spice or flavor inside. 4) The main course. We ordered lamb w/cauliflower, and a cornish hen w/onions. The major problem here is that while the meat was tenderly cooked, it was also bland. For someone who eats meat so they can savor the taste of the meat itself, you may truly enjoy this experience, but we prefer the savory juxtaposition of meat & spice. The main course was rather disappointing because of the lack of flavor. The waitress said they only use spice when specially requested. A complaint because the waiter did not let us know that was an option. IF you want spice, ask for it up front. Also, I think all dishes should have included rice or couscous. We got a dish with meat, meat juice, and a few vegetables in the juice. 5) Baked pears with chocolate sauce drizzle and a cup of green tea with mint, jasmine, & honey. This was very tasty, but we would have liked the portion to be larger and offered a refill of the cup of tea, particularly after the disappointing main course. Overall, this restaurant has the potential to be amazing, and despite the disappointments, my wife and I had an enjoyable time among the other patrons and atmosphere. It is difficult to give this restaurant an above average rating as a result of the lackluster performance on the main course. If they improve that, offer some spicy options, add some rice/couscous, this rating could easily jump to 4 to 5 stars without a doubt. I imagine that my wife and I will consider revisiting in the future and asking for a spicy meal next time and hope that we get that type of experience!

Moroccan food and service at its best! Try their 3, 4, or 5 course dinners and choose from a variety of dishes. We tried almost all their dishes and they always satisfy. Every bite is delicious and we almost always have leftovers to enjoy another day. One of our friends loved their Harira soup as much as we did, but he ordered a second serving, then demanded a third one (we were thinking... more food for us!) The honey chicken with prunes sounds funny, but it is another 5 star. When we have a large group of friends, we order at least two of the honey chicken with prunes and Fish Sharmoula Tagine which is another favorite one. Least favorite dish but still good is the Kefta Tagine, a sautéed meat balls in garlic tomato sauce topped with poached egg. It just seems that meat balls belongs to an Italian dish and not Moroccan, thats just my opinion. You will have to try it and decide for yourself. If you want to see the belly dancer, make a reservation and visit them on Friday or Saturday. Their happy hour prices are unbeatable. I will be happy to pay extra to get the Lamb Bastilla substituted. The owner is accommodating and courteous. The waitress (daughter of owner) is great and always makes you feel welcome. Extra Amiga Debbie Cookies for her! If I were to give the Lamb Bastilla its own rating, it will be a 6 stars. Overall, Four stars and a half (when are they allowing the 1/2 stars?). What will make a 5 star? I think the bread could be changed to a pita or naan style to go with their amazing trio salad or amazing hummus. Just suggesting... Always a fun place to visit. We would go more often if we lived closer. For now, we try to go once a month or more when we have out of town guests. Thanks to a friend who invited me to a birthday celebration at Kasbah because it is now many of my friends favorite place to eat.

This place was horrible! I had a groupon and tried to use it twice. Once we stopped by without a reservation and were ignored until quickly told we needed reservations and left standing there, not able to ask any questions. That would have been somewhat excusable with the fact they are busy. However, the last time we tried to use it was the reason i hate this place. You should never treat customers this way. My friend called to make reservations, after calling twice and getting no answer, she went online. She made reservations there and I made my way from Puyallup to Seattle to go to dinner. We get there, and overhear another customer upset because they made on line reservations. The guy at the front kept saying " I cant deal with this drama, you didnt receive a confirmation, then no reservation", my friend and this customer tried to talk to the guy saying that there was nothing mentioned about the need for a confirmation. Then the guy said it was the wrong website, then wrong site to make a reservation. He was so rude!
