Best Teriyaki in Tacoma...hands down. Huge portions and decent prices. Ive frequented this place often despite the young girl who often works the front counter. On multiple occasions she has been condescending and down right rude and disrespectful. On one occasion I asked her why I only got one salad with my to go order when other times I received a salad for each meal. She rudely explains that the meal doesnt come with salad.... I get the same food each time and weird there is no salad this time. She with all the attitude in the world gets another box of salad and plops it on the counter in front of me and says "for you, but only this time" then walks away. Another time I came in with a friend and all the booths were empty and dirty with food and dishes. After ordering we approached & asked her if someone was available to wipe down a table for us. She threw her hands in the air and rolled her eyes & said to us "does it look like it?" I told her it was ok to just make our order to go. She grabbed a rag and as pissy as ever walked over and began wiping down a table for us...a quick moment later she walked back to the register and said very condescending "there, for you!" My friend and I were so disgusted with her behavior that I didnt return for several months. A few weeks ago I took my mother there and bragged how wonderful the food was. We had a good experience, good service, good food, clean tables. The young girl who is normally at the register was dinning in with others at the booth behind us...she commented many times to a young boy sitting with her how she cant stand the dumb customers. My mother brought this to my attention once we got to the car. How unprofessional of her. Today we dined at this establishment for the very last time... my mother was craving Teriyaki, so I picked her up and brought her there since she loved the food last time. I ordered my food and my mother needed to use the restroom, by the time my mother came back out my food had been placed on a table in the dining room, my mother still had not placed her order, as someone else had came in line and I allowed them to order while I waited on my mom. I asked the young girl at the counter if she could hold my food so it would remain warm until my mothers was ready as well. She rolled her eyes and ignored my request. I brought my food back up to the counter and again asked if she could hold it and bring it out when the rest was complete. My mother has dementia and was having some difficulty placing her order and the girl had no patience with her, rolling her eyes and rudely correcting her. It took a few minutes to determine what it was she wanted. Once our food came my plate had been remade. This time my salad was drenched in a dressing...I have a food allergy. I politely approached the counter and began explaining to the girl I probably should have asked prior, but I could not have the dressing and asked her if she could replace the salad portion. She aggressively grabbed my plate from me and tossed my meal into a bin behind her in the kitchen and began hollering in another language to the kitchen staff. I was so shocked and disgusted by her behavior that I asked for a refund. I was not going to dine in any place who treats customers this way. My mother approached the counter unaware of what was going on with a completely different unrelated concern about her meat being burnt and she was unable to chew it. The girl then began hollering at my mother saying "I not refunding you nothing...it already go out, you get nothing back!" She then got on the phone with what sounded like her grandmother telling her she needed to get there immediately. When the woman arrived we got partially refunded. The girl proceeded to holler at me and my mother calling us stupid in front of my son and a growing crowd of new customers. All in all this woman should not have a job as she does at this establishment...or any job in customer service until she gains a better understanding of how to present herself and act while dealing with the general public.

I love the food. The best teriyaki in Tacoma. However, I just ordered food. For here. To go food usually does not come with salad. Hence why I ordered for here. They brought out my food in a to go bag without salad. I said, "Im sorry but I ordered for here. And there is no salad." There is no salad to go. "I know, I ordered for here." Oh, that combo doesnt get salad. "Since when? I come here all the time. Or used to..." When I walked away, to her credit, sort of, she brought out salad and said, "today service for you." Then, the lady behind me asked about salad and she said, "he stupid man, to go no get salad. You eat here, salad." So, they messed up my order and put it in a to go. Not a big deal. No salad, not a big deal either. When I brought it to their attention, not only am I treated like I am dumb, I am called stupid. Because of their mistake. Not cool.

You should always get here at least 30-45 minutes before they "close" because you may get turned away. saw people getting turned away at 8:45 pm for take out when they closed at 9:30pm. Also the younger girl who usually works the front counter can be very rude. she always seems like she has a million other better places to be. but other than that, their food is delicious and pretty big portions compared to other teriyaki places. their egg rolls and pot stickers are some of the best I have ever had. decently priced for good food! just dont think youll just make it by going in 15 minutes to close! plan ahead for some yummy teriyaki

I am super picky. I really like the California rolls. The staff is very kind and very helpful. I paid for fried rice and they forgot but they were quick to correct it. I like the teriyaki chicken also, but I feel like there is not enough sauce. It is just poured over it vs being smothered. Personal preference maybe. --- Update from 5 stars. I went in there on Friday 2/7 to see the cook making food and picking at another bin of cooked chicken. I refuse to eat somewhere that allows the cook to eat while working/cooking. I feel like it is so unsanitary.

Awesome food!! But not the greatest service. Came here tonight and got here at 8:10pm they close at 9 but said we couldnt eat here because they were closing. There was another guest in here and were eating inside only received their food a couple minutes before we had. That is not what you tell your customers!! I come here often and this is the only teriyaki place I will eat at. Now I may try other places and find me a different teriyaki place to eat at.

Food is amazing! Price is low and one plate feeds two people for as low as $10. Havent been here around closing hours or while some young woman is at the counter as read from other comments. I assure your wallet wont take a hit, even if youre paying for 6 people to eat. The portions are huge and I was always happy with the service. As for taste, their food does taste amazing as stated previously.
