My husband and I wanted to take our dog and 9 month old daughter (who has been going to regular outdoor dog parks since she was 2 weeks old) to a dog park today but the weather suddenly changed and started pouring. I felt bad for our dog so I remembered someone mentioning an indoor dog park in Lake City so we decided to give it a shot. We walk in and its dark, nobody playing with their dog just sitting along the edge, dogs just roaming around on a bare cement floor and the check-in person looked at my 9 month old and said "no minors" she said "we are more of a bar and we do a good job of making that clear on our website" well, we didnt expect to go there that day but I understood that is the law. No problem. They are a "bar" even though all I saw was beer. They might have more but that was not my purpose. I suggested to my husband I can sit in the car with the baby while they play around for a little bit since we made the trip there. Then the lady said "well, its $10 and we need to see his papers" ????? Papers? "We need his medical history. Again, its on the website" I found this both embarrassing and pretty hilarious at the same time. When we go to indoor playhouses for babies, they dont even ask for stuff like that. Im glad we got a good idea of this place so we know we dont need to come back. If I want expensive beer, Ill go to a real bar. If I actually want to go to a dog park and interact/play with my dog, I will go to a real dog park. Besides, the thought of drinking beer while constantly smelling dog pee and poop doesnt seem pleasant to me. Good business idea in theory but a pretty disappointing experience.

We LOVE taking our pup here when we can and I specifically wanted to write a review to counter a previous one that I thought was totally unfair. Dogwood states very clearly on their website that you need to bring vaccination records and that this is a 21+ establishment. I feel much more comfortable bringing my dog to a place that ensures that all of the other dogs there are also up-to-date on vaccinations, and I think this is consistent with most indoor doggy establishments such as daycares and boarding places so its not really a surprise. Also, Ive found that most owners will interact and play with their dog(s) unless there are a bunch of other dogs there who can socialize with each other. The park is always kept very clean and the staff is very attentive to any potentially misbehaving or aggressive dogs. Wish there was a location closer to downtown Seattle so we could come here more often! (hint hint... youd be very successful with all the apartment dog owners in this area ;) )

I wish there was a way to counter other reviews directly... but there is only the option to write a review, so here I am. When I heard of this indoor dog park I thought "managed." This prompted me to jump on the website to verify the rules of the dog park because it is obviously a private business. I saw the paperwork and age requirement. I grabbed my dog, his vaccine records and got on the road. Once I go here, I was impressed. They have multiple fences to ensure my dog doesnt find his way out. They also watched my dog for about 15 mins to verify his behavior (which is amazing and made me feel comfortable). Once I let my dog roam, he played with a bunch of other awesome dogs inside and outside while I was able to have a beer and get some work done via the free Wi-Fi. Hands down the most AWESOME large indoor/outdoor dog park I have experienced. Thanks for offering this service for my pup, Rocky and I.

I like this place. It is clean, well set up, and my dog loves coming here. They make it clear via their website that it is 21+ and you need to bring vaccine paperwork. Checking vaccine paperwork is vital for the dogs safety, so Im glad they are strict about it. I always feel like the dogs are well managed by their owners, and the place is very clean considering how many dogs are running around. No messes were left for more than a few seconds. The only downside for me is the price, if the monthly membership was a little less expensive and they offered reduced pricing for additional dogs (same household) I would give 5 stars. Until then it will have to be an occasional rainy weekend-day outing, but one me and my dog enjoy very much!

We love bringing our dog here on rainy days and in the evenings after work. Because most of us that visit the place keep returning we have a casual set of acquaintances that are fun to visit with. Our dog also has her favorite playmates. We are especially grateful for a place to exercise our pup when its dark and cold in the evenings during the winter months. The place is clean, there are always toys around to play fetch and the owners are very good at stepping up and helping out if a dog play scene is getting off track.

A great place to allow your apartment bound dog to stretch his or legs and socialize with buddies while you grab a nice cold beer and relax. Theres a doggie bakery on site and while you can buy some human snacks the best option is to order a pizza or bring your own food. The dogs have an indoor and outdoor play area and a separate section for smaller, quieter dogs as well. A bit of a hike, especially on week days, but well worth it.

We love bringing the treat truck here & also LOVE bringing our dogs here who now have a monthly membership! The staff is always warm & friendly, often seen carrying around a guest dog or two! They plan fun interactive events regularly to engage their customers & the level of cleanliness is above & beyond for a pet care business! We tell everyone we can about this place & plan to be long term regulars! Two Paws UP!

This place is incredible. Its a bar and a place to take your dog. Genius. Best thing that could ever happen to a dog owner is finding a spot like this! Very clean, smells like simple green every time we walk in. Lex and Tara, the owners, are absolutely amazing dog people and with hard to make sure new dogs are a good fit socially. *Vaccinations are required*

Super chill place. Dogs have been well behaved and adorable every time weve been. Nothing on draft, but their bottle and can selection is reasonable, there will be solid microbrews for all tastes. A couple of large TVs that have been playing Mariners games and playoff hockey. Theres an outdoor area thats great for those days when the sun comes out.

This place is awesome! The space is awesome, the owners are awesome, the vibe is awesome. Where else in Seattle can you take your dog to play, have a beer, and hang out with other dog owners in a social environment? Definitely worth a monthly membership because after your first visit, you and your dog will want to keep coming back!

Love this place! My dog cant get enough of it and its fantastic as the weather is getting colder and Rainier. Grab a beer there and enjoy watching your dog have a blast! The owners are great and really care about the dogs, so you will often see them playing fetch with the dogs that come in. A welcome addition to Seattle!
