Major gem in the rough. I order a 1 pound of barbacoa that comes with consome, tortillas, onions and cilantro and they have a great salsa bar The barbacoa smelled incredible once I opened the container. it was delicious. Perfect fat, gaminess flavor and grease on these. I wish they cooked these underground as its supposed to be done, but pretty delicious none the less. Actually its pretty cool walking in here and smelling the incredible flavors coming out of the back kitchen. The green avocado salsa blew me away and Ill definitely be ordering extra of this the next time. The consome was delicious as well. You can tell the decadent flavor of this simple soup by the marrow flavor in the broth. Theres some garbanzo beans and shreads of barbacoa that make this simple soup sing in your mouth. Getting a new appreciation of simple soups with sophisticated flavors. The 1 lb is meant for 2 people. If you think you have the discipline to eat half by yourself, and save the rest for another meal, youre fool yourself. It aint happening. Tip: Very busy place with some dishes selling out early. Come mid morning to avoid crowd and be able to take advantage of some of their dishes that sell out quick such as their tacos al pastor.

Barbacoa? Only on weekends. I wish Id seen that disclaimer in the menu before I ordered it (for delivery). But they called immediately and asked if Id like the carne asada instead. Their asada is excellent. I must say that Im wondering what the barbacoa is like when the asada is that good! Tacos were tasty, and the fried jalapenos - well, they were fried jalapenos, what can you say? Their salsa verde is really really good too. The only detriment was that I asked for a grilled onion. What I wanted was a small white or yellow onion. What I got was a green onion. My fault for not specifying. Oh - and no limes with the delivery ... thats on them :) Overall an excellent experience, and one Ill repeat!

Been here twice, the first time I had two tofu tacos, Amazing! The way they season and prepare the tofu is addictive. The second time I had the taco bowl salad, it was better than the tacos. There was a mango and a cucumber "fan",rice, beans, avocado, I had the tofu again and iceberg lettuce dribbled in their mango salsa. Looking forward to returning soon. Also I left my wallet behind the second time seriously distracted by the pain of a sinus infection, they had it when I finally realized four hours later, thinking, "oh yeah that was the last place I had to have had it." Thant again Panchos staff you really cook.

Dont expect a typical restaurant welcome here. Its a hands-off, casual approach to customers... I wasnt offered water or silverware and had to ask for the latter. I didnt get the side of guacamole I asked for. My young waitress didnt seem to care; there was also a bit of language barrier. The food quality is Azteca-like, which to me means poor. Though I did see something like fajitas, decent looking, at the next table. This is my 2nd and last try at Mezcales Grill. I dont know what the other reviewers fuss is about. They are converting to a part restaurant/part store and are in the middle of that as well.

Good food, though a little pricey for some items. This hidden gem of a restaurant is in the back of a Mexican grocery. (Okay, technically the restaurant was here first, and its now a bit smaller to make room for the store.) We found the service to be outstanding and prompt. Theres a bar area (for drinking and socializing) in the back, plus a little "salsa bar" for extras like sauce, lime, radishes, and onions. This place is waiting to be discovered, so dont expect a crowd. Family and handicap friendly.

I had the consome with lamb it was pretty good size, tasty and not too expensive, the service at first wasnt that great but it got better and they became more attentive :) They have Pulque! But they didnt have the plain one. So, I had the strawberry one. It was refreshing and good. Next time I hope they have the plain one and will see if the taste is like the original PULQUE from Mexico. I give ☆☆☆ stars because i think they can do better. You should give it a try.

Place was bad due to "remodeling" but there was a bad smell in there like when raw meat goes bad,,Really Bad service!! Food was horrible with very small portions unlike other Mexican restaurants. It was poorly hygiene, silverware smelled funny, bathrooms are very dirty and had really bad oder!! Have to say the horchata water was good but cups were extremly dirty Overall never going again.

Good food at a decent enough price. Only complaint is the $12 Margaritas. The blended strawberry margarita I ordered was more expensive than my dinner plate, which is sad. Its very hard to come by a good, reasonably priced margarita in this city. Having moved here from Austin, its the only thing Im still in search of.

This was my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant while I lived in Shoreline! Honestly, nothing where I live now can even DREAM to compare. Their shrimp platter dinner was my go-to. Ive got to say I generally dislike queso but theirs was wonderful. Also youre missing out if you do not get the nacho blancos!!!

WORST EVER! Terrible! Service is awful! We got ripped off on our bill. Food was mediocre at best. Honestly, my worst dining experience ever. Just dont even bother with this place, its not worth it. Honestly, youll regret you even walked in there, I know we did. If only we would of known, but now you do.

The food was worth 3 or 4 stars, but $9 for the worlds saddest lemon drop ruined taco Tuesday. It was barely sweet, it was barely lemony, it wasnt sugar rimmed. I think it might have just been boozy margarita mix.
