We had a large party with reservation but they still acted very unprepared. Service was slow given we were practically the only people in the place, often times getting the waitresss attention took more effort than I really cared to muster. One of us had to go look for someone to take our order after we had seated for more than 45 mins. It took more than an hour for food to be delivered - in an almost completely empty restaurant. The Sashimi & nigiri were the worse we ever had, just tasted & looked not fresh !! The room we were in filled with stained shoji screens and frayed mats, dirty floors and decades-old decor. When the check arrived, they had already added 18% tip to the total. And one of my friend was in a very happy mood (because her son just got married on this day), she left another 10% cash tip on the table. In my opinion, only one of the waitress (in the black shirt) deserved the tip, nothing else, no one else does. Although other reviewers have stated a night of singing at Bush Gardens makes up for the restaurants many faults, even the cheapest conveyor belt sushi eateries are a step up from this place.

Bush Garden has the feel of a business that once would have been an amazing place to visit. While the waitress was friendly, it took nearly an hour for food to be delivered - in an almost completely empty restaurant. It’s clear that there has been a shift in focus from “classic traditional Japanese eatery” to “karaoke bar.” Stiff drinks may help you feel comfortable enough to belt out Bohemian Rhapsody, but there was not enough Sake to get me through the rubbery-Oyako Don. Although other reviewers have stated a night of singing at Bush Gardens makes up for the restaurant’s many faults, Ill stick with conveyor belt sushi eateries.

Ive frequented this place often in the past, but as of lately, the entire experience has changed. The wait staff remains great and the bartender still rocks, however the new karaoke DJ, Christopher is totally uptight and rude. He has ruined the experience for many old time patrons Ive talked to. Although I still tried to give the benefit of the doubt, sure enough, the rumor held true and I have experienced his negative attitude. Probably wont return there...

A place that has long out lived their glory days. Everything we ordered was either extremely salty or extremely sweet. The calamari and black cod was completely unpalatable due to the saltiness. It was clear the chef, no longer had the ability to taste his food, and had to overseason the food just to taste it. The outside view completely reflects their quality of food, outdated, and unappetizing.

Food and drink were cheap during happy hour, but dont expect anything from the food. The karaage was not Japanese style at all, and bland though not overdone. Gyoza similarly meh. Karaoke also started an hour late on a Saturday night, and the song selection focuses on older hits. There isnt anything from at least the last 5 years. (For example, the only Taylor Swift song in the book is Love Story).

Ah, theres something about this place. Im not sure if thats good or bad, but the staff here is extremely friendly. Its one of those old, hole-in-the-wall places that does karaoke regularly at night. Kind of fun to do every once in awhile, but its..interesting. Only go with friends youre comfortable with, otherwise it might feel uncomfortable.

Nuff said - this is THE PLACE for no-frills, supportive, and crazy enthusiastic KARAOKE. Forget the restaurant (though its a huge part of Asian-American history here in the PNW) - come here for a night youll never forget.

I dont remember Chinatown without Bush Garden. Its my defacto bar when in the International District. Lots of seating, small bar and good parking. A kitchy place but when in Rome...

Super fun karaoke spot! The place is pretty divey but it adds to the charm. Only complaint is that drinks were pretty sub-par and the lines were really long.

Great sushi at reasonable prices. The place has a lot of character, not very upscale - more of a homemade feel - which is fine. The udon soups are great!

Always a fun place for casual karaoke! It would be nice if they had a drink menu; thats the only improvement I can think of.
