An unassuming little place, this is one of my teams go-to lunch spots and we always walk back to work satisfied and happy. Their food is fantastically yummy, the service is friendly and fast, and all that for such a bargain price! Note: I see this place is described as not good for groups. I would say a medium-sized group is definitely doable. Weve never had trouble getting a table with ~6 people. One time there were 10 of us and we had to split up into two tables, but we were still seated promptly and received the usual great service. If youre really worried, go around one to avoid the lunch rush. Must order appetizer: kimchi pancake! Great for sharing, this ginormous pancake is crispy and golden with crunchy edges and a soft center filled with kimchi. It hits all the right notes for both texture and flavor! On a cold, rainy day I love to get the soft tofu stew. It is served roiling hot in a stone bowl. A few gulps is just what you needed to warm right up from the inside out. Caution: did I mention its hot? I have zero patience so I probably burn my tongue every time I order this dish, but its still worth it! But my absolute favorite is the bulgogi with sweet potato noodles. The beef is tender and perfectly seasoned. The sweet potato noodles are delightfully springy and ideal for soaking up all the delicious sauce. Oh man, add a fried egg on top and I can die happy. The portion size is huge too. I am always facing the dilemma of eating it all (just a little too much for the physical limitations of my stomach) or forcing myself to stop eating and pack the leftovers (basically impossible, its so good, you just want to eat one...more...bite...). Damn, I wish I were eating some right now.

Hold your horses! No banchan?? The soon du bu tofu stew was okay, but Ive had better. Plus some cred for being one of two Korean restaurants in Capitol Hill. It seems like you really have to travel (U District and beyond) for solid Korean food... Prices on par with other Korean restaurants, but, I repeat, thisisnotadrill there is NO banchan!

Cosy, family-run restaurant that is perfect when its cold and miserable and gray outside and all you want is some rice and stew to fill you up. Besides Kimchi Bistro, I think this is the best place to get Korean food on Capitol Hill - the spicy pork with sweet potato noodles, beef bibimbap and pork soon doo bu are all very solid.

Soup was good but be ready to pay extra for topping which is so ridiculous. No side dishes like other Korean restaurants. The Katsu tasted like regular chicken strips and it came which BBQ sauce. Their prices are also different at different time where lunch time is about one dollar cheaper.

I work close by and frequently go to BlueStone for lunch. The food is always delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. You cant go wrong with any of the food choices here, but I would recommend either the lunch special with chicken katsu or the soft tofu soup!
