I hate to give the British Pantry such a low rating because I love the place. Their sauasgae rolls excellent and the rest of the pantry is very good. They have a wide selecion of British style candy that are hard to find anywhere else. Their prices are high when compared to the stuff you find in Britian but you have to remind yourself that the price is well justifyied considiering they have to import all of their stuff. The british section in Fred Meyer in Issauquah have similiar prices for same items. So why give the place such a low rating?, because they sell some of their canned stuff out of date. This would be fine considering most of the canned stuff will last well past their printed dates but they cover the date with price tag stickers. This feels somewhat untruthful. That takes off one star. The other star comes off because they sell very unusual tasting irn-bru at times. Sometimes it tastes fine and other times, maybe 20% of the time Ive bought a case it tastes nothing like irn-bru. And I have bought 10s of cases so I dont think this was a one time fluke. I think the distributor is selling them bad product. In summary still go shopping their, but buyer-beware. A few of the items they sell might not be up to your satisfaction.

What a great shop. I am so glad I took the time to drive from Seattle to Redmond to visit this place (about 25 minutes), where I found a great selection of English staples one cannot find in a regular super market here. Additionally there were some wonderful house-made English delights like Savory Pies and Pasties and even though I went to purchase an imported British X-mas Pudding, I found they had some there they had made themselves, so I couldnt resist and bought one of them and some UK packaged Brandy Hard Sauce (along with some scone mix, Devon Clotted Cream, and true Orange Marmalade). Looking forward to My X-mas meal of Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding with gravy, and Brussels sprouts, with my X-mas Plum Pudding steeped in brandy for dessert.

If you wanna try British food this is the place to go on the east side. The Shepherds Pie is hands down the best entree they have and the best one you will ever have. If you do get the Shepherds Pie, ask for HP sauce to pput on top! They also have 2 an excellent tea selection and my favorite is their special house blend and the black currant tea. Their tea time is also really fun to try English tea time with scones and crumpets and the whole nine yards. If you get dessert, then try the blackberry pie with cheese! You can buy the same cheese at their British market next door and it goes perfectly with blackberry pie. The inside of the restaurant looks cozy and very British with lots of pictures of the royal family.

I love this restaurant!! Ive been coming here with my mom for 15+ years. We have since moved away from Seattle, but when visiting this last time we drove out to Redmond for some nostalgic high tea. Just as quaint and delicious as ever. I got the Shepherds pie with fresh green peas on the side. Wow! So flavorful and outstanding. The fruit tart with custard is also a long-standing favorite with my mom and I. Turns out its just as good as we remembered. The same familiar staff member (she may be an owner?) was there, which made it seem all the more welcoming. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to anyone that likes an English tea experience.

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. They had a lot of goodies in the grocery and gift shop. I was even able to find the dipped Flake bar there! I bought one of their strawberry rhubarb pie. It was so fresh and tasted so pure and heavenly. I was sorry that I did not buy more and tried the custard pie! I also had the shepherds pie from the restaurant. I will definitely be back! May have to make a once a month trip down there to get these treats!

Ive been here four times and the food is always great. British food is generally considered very boring, so I went in with that attitude and was pleasantly surprised that the fish and chips was exceptionally crisp (no old oil flavor). The pot pies were flakey and meaty. And the tap beer selection is extensive and very English. The service is sometimes slow. This is a very unique place and deserves a spot on the map of must eat at restaurants.

I can find all the UK goodies Im addicted to, but cant find in the import section of my regular grocery store. Add in the baked goodies (sausage rolls!) and the fact its got a pub and restaurant adjacent, and it equals recipe for a happy me. Some of the stuff is overpriced (I can HP for half the price at Fred Meyers), but overall, still love the place.

What rude service? Ive been going there for years and all the employees are helpful and friendly. You might have to wait for table once in a while because they are so popular, but the service is excellent as well as all the goodies in the shop! Best place around.

The prices here are great compared to other import shops! They have a wide variety of British snacks, candy and food. The sausage rolls are my favorite! They also have an assortment of British souvenirs. This place is great!

They have great sausage rolls. The prices are high but that is to be expected. I wish they had the taffy candy that I used to get as a kid in England. The people are friendly and any products I have gotten have been good.

Every once in awhile Ill pop in to pick up a box of pastries from the case to munch on for the next couple days. Makes me happy every time I do. The savory pies are lovely. Plus the candy selection is great too

I eat in the in-house restaurant, Nevilles, when the 3 lions pub next door is closed. Same kitchen, and the food is just as good. I can see why the place is always full when I go in.

Love this place and it has a great shop attached. My only complaint is the British breakfast could be spruced up a bit (it comes with American bacon).

Got all the basics. (P.S. Anyone who thinks they can get a bag of muffins for 75 cents from anywhere, let alone a specialty store, is a moron.)

Very interesting cafe with good and unique food. I love British food, fish-n-chips, steak and kidney pie, etc. and this place serves them both.
