Hum... a Chinese restaurant... or maybe Café? Or is it a Bakery? Im not really sure what this is, but its something... Whatever it is, its not bad. Im not going to give this place a ton of stars, because 1. I havent tried the bakery side, and 2. The food was only ho-hum. I mean, dont get me wrong, I love a great Chinese dish, and yes, Im the type to consider Din Tai Fung, overrated, so maybe that tells you I have a higher expectation for food that I cook on a regular basis at home. Why was I here then? This was a Quick dinner with a sweetheart, then back to work. So I see a ton of review of the bakery, and the food, I just got a bowl of their house fried rice, which was tasty, but nothing special. My buddy got a bowl of Pork Soup, which admittedly I was eyeing the entire time I was there. So here is a plate of food, which tastes fine, nothing special. I keep thinking when I go to a Chinese restaurant, that there will be something that takes my breath away, but then again, all I got was friend rice. The service was fine, though, it could have been better Sorry, I want to rate this restaurant, and maybe when I go for the bakery, things may change, but for the moment... its meh.

Last time I ordered a birthday cake and she asked me what to write on it. I didnt know how many words I can put on it but she doesnt tell me whether the words are too long or not. It turned out that I couldnt really read the words on it and I asked her to change a shorter one but she refused that she couldnt do anything on it. Hmm... All I see, she could just replace a piece of chocolate that she put on the cake and write the shorter words which it would take her less than 2 mins. It was not my first time with their bad service. I wont go there again!

Ive been a customer since they opened years ago. They got good cakes and are the only ones around on the Eastside so now they are better known, the service has gone down. Dont bother going there around lunch time if youre just in there for their cakes since youll be considered a non-event as they are so busy. They are so rush to help the next customer that they just take your money without a smile. I dont think they need to be arrogant even though they are the only one around. Improve on service and serving size and youll get better reviews.

Extremely rude service. This older Asian lady has no clue what it means to run a business. You must always be polite to customers especially ones with young children. Not attack them just because they write a poor review of their experience reflecting on the behavior of staff. Please learn some business ettiquette and some manners. This is America not china. Loud and rude confrontations are very poor behavior from a business owner. Your other patrons were also in shock and two other people left your store.

If you go into first thing in the morning when they open, you are in for a great treat. Fresh Hong Kong style bakery! Pineapple buns with flaky crest that are just waiting for you to take a big bite. If you go for lunch, try their chow mein with BBQ pork. That noodle with hot sauce and bubble tea is a great combo. Lunch is served rather quickly; you will be in and out in 30 mins. If not, they may rush you along (in a good way) to free up the table. =)

Yummy yummy cakes. Honestly theyre not much different from the cakes sold in the bakeries in Manhattan Chinatown, its been a nice find, I dont have to go to the east coast for yummy fruit cake. The prices are a tad higher here for the regular baked goods but considering the lack of competition I think its to be expected. Even though its slightly more than what Id pay for an egg tart back east, its still fairly inexpensive.

very good bakery. Ive tried more than a few cakes and they were all delicious. the Green tea mousse cake is a little weird with the red bean paste in it, but still good. The mango mousse cake is a must try. I havent eaten the dinner/lunch menu yet, but it looks pretty standard. The lines for the baked goods move pretty quick. The staff can be a bit brash when its busy but I havent had any horrible experiences with them.

Good service for Boba and most of the bread was good except... I went there on the 3rd day it was open and my kids who had the custard cream buns ( only the ones who ate cream bun) all had massive diarreah for 4 days straight and had to miss their activities. Not sure if their kitchen inside is sanitary or workers are washing hands.. I hope the bakery is more careful with handling milk egg products in the future.

We love the cakes at this place. They use whip-cream frosting which in my opinion is really the only way to go. Despite obviously being superior to the whipped sugar and flour stuff its hard to find here in the US. Well, search no further. Regent Bakery has it. As for the Chinese food, I thought it was fine, but I wouldnt go out of my way to have it. Not much atmosphere for dine-in, either.

An unusual combination of bakery and Chinese food cafe, the staff is friendly and attentive and the cakes and pastries are incredibly inviting. Home of the original Black Forest Cake made somewhat famous by the Portal video game by Valve Corp., the cake is not a lie--its delicious. I did not try any dishes from the cafe menu but plan to return with my son for more pastries.

Horrible experience. A couple of weeks back had picked up a green tea cake which was on display in the showcase for a party. It was the worst choice ever. Although they claimed it was made fresh I doubt their claim. No one could eat it. The lowest layer made of beans was actually smelly. Had to throw it away. DO NOT RISK THE CAKES IN THE SHOWCASE.

Regent Bakery not only has delicious cakes (the light, fluffy mango mousse cake is my favorite!), but they have a full menu as well. The service can be a little brusque, especially when they are busy, and when its crowded, its hard to know where the line, if it exists at all, begins and ends. This doesnt stop us from going back, though!

Very wide selection of dessert and Asian style bread and cookies pastries. The birthday cakes choices are great and some nuts free options for shoppers with allergies. Cakes are not too sweet and very airy light. Hong Kong style Chinese food is delicious. Bubble tea and coffee are great! Would recommend.

Newly renovated interior and bigger café & restaurant area! Standard Chinese dishes are good and of course, excellent cakes, bubble teas and assorted Chinese pastries & breads. Reasonably priced and very busy during peak hours. The best and most famous Chinese bakery in Washington state

This is an excellent Bakery. We were excited to try the Cafe portion of the restaurant. Our expectation was that the dishes would be as good as the desserts. Unfortunately, the food did not match with our taste. We always look forward to talking with the staff there though.
