This is my favorite coffee shop! I bring all my friends and family here. They know their customers and have my drink memorized. I love that its a family owned business. I gave them 5stars because my experience is usually always great and my coffee is always made perfect. I will warn that they do have another barista come in from time to time. I dont see her there very often, but she does a terrible job at making my coffee. Loads of ice and milk. I can never even tell that she put coffee in there. I always order a simple white mocha with coconut milk, everyone else there does a fantastic job but on rare occasions she will be there and I regret getting my coffee, like today. I always get a 20 Oz, she gave me a 16 Oz, when I told her she just dumped my drink into a larger cup and added more milk and ice and yep thats all I taste, milk and ice. If I had more time and didnt have to catch a bus I would have said something. So just beware, otherwise its a wonderful little Shop!

Common Ground is a bright spot in a downtown that has otherwise been beaten down by the late-2000s recession. It has a fun and playful style and the younger staff are pretty perky (it helps that I know a few of the people who worked here, so I have some "common ground" with them). This place has a more lively, playful atmosphere than the subdued Starbucks - and they have a place for children to play. This seems like a great place to come with family or friends. The cupcakes are not my favorite; theyre carefully decorated but the icing tastes a bit funny to me, and I think theyre a bit overpriced. The tea I had here was A-OK though. I support the liveliness Common Ground brings to Renton. Downtown can use more energy like this.

Great atmosphere, talented artistic cupcake Bakers and an amazing artistically designed cup of coffee, too. And just a extremely relaxed like atmosphere in a quaint little place which gives this feeling of having a cup of joe in your favorite cozy living room chair by the window or sitting at your kitchen dinette table eating coffee cake and sipping a perfectly made cup of coffee, while reading the newspaper. My favorite spot to just sit and experience a really good cup of coffee.

Great Place. Amazing fancy lattes and food, Free Wi-fi and they open Early at 7:30 am. People are genuinely nice and my treats were perfect! So happy about this place. One thing parking is only 2hr everywhere so you will need to plan on parallel parking if you cant find the couple parking lots around which are also 2hr parking. Amazing corner location with parking spaces in front and on both sides. Easy to get to. Will try an visit again soon!

I go there for the coffee - SOOOO much better than Starbucks, and almost as good as my favorite (Vivaces).The cupcakes are quite tasty with an interesting variety of flavors. I have been in about 6 or 7 times in the past 3 months and every time the service team has been nice, friendly, and genuinely glad to see me (and they dont mind that I camp out doing computer work for 4-5 hours at a time...lol). All in in all a Wonderful place!

Although the cupcake are a little expensive, you can tell they are made from quality ingredients, so I am not upset about the price. I love the coffee, smoothies, and Italian sodas here, and the family that runs the shop its delightful. They always have water for my dog, and there are plenty of seats with tables out front with shade from a tree and umbrellas. They also have air conditioning, which helps a lot on those hot days.

We were actually on our way to another well rated coffee shop and stopped here instead bc it was cold and a cupcake sounded good. What a pleasant surprise to stumble upon! The cupcake was the most amazing Ive ever had, and tasted very fresh. My latte was excellent and everyone was incredibly nice. I would drive to Renton just to visit again.

I moved to Renton in 07 and wanted a cup of joe that wasnt from Starbucks. I came here and have enjoyed their coffee ever since. The owners are pleasant and remember my face. I have never had a bad experience or a bad cup of coffee. If you have a sweet tooth, definitely dont miss the cupcakes. Deeeee-lish!

The owners and employees are very friendly and always welcoming. Good people with good life stories and positive outlook. The coffee is delicious fresh. And who can turn down the cupcakes, which are so creative and artistic, you wont want to eat them, but you will be glad you did. Treats for your dog, too.

This is one of my absolute "go to" spots in downtown #Renton! I have had their cupcakes for several events too (like a wedding reception) and the staff are always very helpful and nice. Business meetings here always go well too because who cant be in a good mood when having yummy coffee and cupcakes!

A little slow because places like this are used to serving one or two people at a time. Had a family of eight in front of me. But the staff was friendly and quick -- once they got to me. The fruit oat bar is just like the one my great-grandmother made when I was a kid. Ill be back.

This place is amazing!! The cupcakes are made fresh and it was cool that they offered milk with the cupcake. The family that runs the business is really nice. The artwork on the walls were awesome, and I just had a good feeling about this place the moment I walked in.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the hot drinks are good, and the cupcakes and baked goods are tasty. An abundance of electrical outlets, free wireless, and the option of sitting at tables or on couches make this a great place to read a book or get some work done.

Ive been wanting to come here for months and finally decided to come out of hibernation and so happy I did. Good ambiance, comfortable space, from high chairs by the window to watch passers by to comfortable individual sofa chairs. A good meet up place. ☕️

Coffee is okay, better than Starbucks drip coffee, the cupcakes are amazing. The staff are a little hard to understand, but are very friendly. They indoor seating, but is not very inviting to sit and drink coffee.
