We went out as a larger family group (11 people in 3 rooms). Cons: - The resort was probably built in or around the 70s and it has not been updated much (if at all) since then. It does not have the charm of that time period either; it has not been kept up well. - The upkeep has been pretty lacking. We have gone for 3 years now and each unit we stayed in has had some sort of failure in upkeep. Lights not working, fans making lots of noise, hot tub barely getting above warm, burners not working. etc. Pros: - This place is cheap. The resort up the road is easily twice as expensive, per night. - Very convenient shop located in the main building. They sell all kinds of things you could need. No alcohol though, if that matters to you. - The view, you could not ask for a better view of the ocean. The sunset is amazing to watch in the evening. - The beach, you have direct access to go on a walk from any unit. And there is a lot to cover. Other Notes: - They have WiFi service, but it is spotty and slow. This could be a con or a pro depending on your perspective.

Came here for mothers day dinner in the lounge, and couldnt have been happier. Staff is very warm and friendly, view of the ocean from our table was prefect, and the atmosphere was excellent. I particularly liked the art work on display, and the hand-made glass jellyfish light fixtures. On to the really important thing: the food. The menu has a great mix of seafood/non-seafood items, and everything our party of four ordered was delicious. Our bartender/server and the chef paid close attention to my mothers food allergies, and sweetly helped her select a "safe" dinner. I got the ciopinno, mom got the salmon, dad got the chicken, and my SO got the crab pasta. I tasted each dish, and I would order them all again. The wine list is huge, and mainly features local stuff.

I loved this place. I loved that its truly right on the beach, and that its a bit of a time capsule to the 70s in the interior decor (I thought tat was really cool). Its well maintained and everything is very clean and works well. I also love the design of the buildings. They were clearly situated to accentuate the view from probably every unit. And they have an earthy feel to them. They fit right in with the Washington coast. I also liked that its a pretty affordable place to stay.

Great place for a quiet family getaway. The beach is incredibly soft, and the cabins overlook the water, so youve got waves crashing all night to get you to sleep. The amenities are a bit dated, but I liked that - it put me in mind of a 50s/60s style resort. Virtually no cell reception there, but if you must have your fix, the wifi was stronger than I expected. The staff is wonderful; unobtrusive but very responsive and helpful if you have any issues. Wed be glad to go back again soon!

Older resort, rooms right on the beach. Comfortable and clean with a full kitchen (although small) that is great for a family vacation. Bottom floor opens right to the beach, open the door and let the kids go! Staff is friendly and helpful, rates are reasonable. If youre bringing meals that require prep, make sure you bring your favorite tools. I am thankful that I brought my knife and cutting board!

I thought that is was absolutely amazing, the manager was a nice woman who you could tell truly cared about how your stay was going. We stayed Friday - Sunday and I just couldnt get over the ocean view from my room, Im 20 years old and my girlfriend and I originally came just to relax and thats exactly what we did. Was an awesome trip and will definitely be back in the near future.

OK, if you are in the area, this is the only Resort that is Beach side on 101. (even Seabrook is on the other side of the 101). With that being said, if your an Avid Clammer, you can stay here or Pacific Beach and not need to worry about Driving in to Roosevelt to get your Razor Clam Dig on. Pretty convenient, but Seabrook. Man its not like a vacation, it feels like home.

What makes the sandpiper beach resort great is inarguably not the "resort" itself. There are lovely views from creaky, incomplete rooms; a beach incredibly close; yellow water; missing paintings and pillows; etc... You can get the point. Its quirky. Ive been coming for 15 years, but with the way its heading, this may be my last.

Not good needs major up date over charge for rooms that have no phones in them or service. They also charge a extra 20.00 for them to clean it after you leave plus the 15.00 per night per dog. The stove didnt work right two burners were out bathroom fan kept going in and out. The sliding glass door did not lock.

We had a wonderful weekend here! The host Annie was very sweet and helpful. Our room had an incredible view, and we were able to walk out our door onto the beach to go clamming. The price was reasonable for what we got and we would definitely stay here again. Big thumbs up!

The views are to-die-for however their rooms are in desperate need remodeling the hot water is very minimum the water pressure in the shower very poor the room is just seriously outdated and the front desk could seriously work on their customer service

Very clean unit. Grounds are very well kept. The unit does need to be updated as it is from the 70s. It is not a 5 star hotel but provides all the basics you need. Main reason for choosing is right on the beach.

Cozy for a weekend of enjoying spectacular ocean views on a section that is away from the main traffic. Rooms need a little updating but still a great place to get away from the Daily hubbub for a weekend.

Weve been coming here for many years. The staff and location is beyond 5 stars! Gift shop is great and you cannot beat the beach access. I only wish they would update the rooms a bit.

Beautiful and easy beach access. Very roomy. Not too expensive but purchasing a loaf of bred and an apple was very expensive. Full kitchen. very safe feeling.

Prices are a little high for the quality of the rooms but the location is great. The coffee is terrible so get that down the road. The wifi is terrible too

Great location with quaint, rustic buildings. Could use a bit of a touch up on the inside but otherwise clean.
