Im pretty confused how this has such good reviews. We have eaten at the Benjarong in Covington and it was great. Our dinner at the Maple Valley location last night was so terrible. Maybe an off day but not one we are willing to try again. I think they may have been out of a few ingredients because my pad see ew was made with some sort of fish sauce and not black bean sauce (I cant stand seafood). My son ate one fish cake and wouldnt take another bite (my husband confirmed that they were "just nasty.") My husband liked his noodles but before we were out of the parking lot, we had to swing by Fred Meyer for some Pepto and he was ill the rest of the evening. Every plate on the table was chipped, the menus were covered with food and they refused to give my 2 year old a real plate and made her eat of a paper plate (maybe other toddlers are why the plates are chipped but my 2 year daughter has better manners than many adults). Save yourself the money and start at Dairy Queen (which is where we ended up).

An empty restaurant at 6pm is a bad sign, and I should have known better. Id already ordered over the phone though, so I was committed to eating it. If you think Safeways deli China Express is good Chinese food, youll be happy with this version of Thai food. Except youll pay a lot more, $10-13 per dish. I was told that the garlic chicken was good, but the irritated person answering the phone didnt know what that was. I said, "lightly fried, some vegetables, no sauce", and she didnt know what that was. When I got there and showed her the picture, she told me I should have said "crispy" garlic chicken. Because lightly fried is completely different from crispy, I guess. This empty restaurant is going to be a little emptier, because I wont be back. Drive to Renton if you want more authentic Thai food.

Disappointed. 6:30 p.m. one table of customers not a good sign. Very bland food. Noodles were in a over cooked ball of Uck. The beans were swimming in soy sauce and there were no sesame seeds, and little to no garlic . We ordered one serving of rice she charged us for two. Tea did not come in a pot. (Odd) The few customers in there all left their coats on, it was freezing! She was to busy on her phone to check on us. We left half the food . Sadly first and last time. When we walked in it did not feel warm and inviting nor have that wonderful smell of Thai . Christmas music was on. That was a bonus . Sorry I never comment. Maybe it was a off night for them.

I think they only care about take out. Ive never been so frustrated at staffing! There was one server for the entire 30 person restaurant. I dont know if anyone was drinking anything besides water because nothing else made it to the table. We were there for over an hour and fifteen minutes and we were finally brought our drinks at the end of our meal, which we declined as we didnt want to chug wine before the road. The food was okay once we got it 10 minutes apart. I actually left with our toddler because we just had enough and my husband stayed for the bill since we knew it would take another 30 minutes (which it did)

My wife and I were in the mood for Pad Thai and we like the benjarong in Covington so we decided to call in an order and take it home. It was ready when we arrived so it was really nice to be in and out quickly. When we got home there was massive portions! I always finish my meals (I can eat!) and they just gave us so much I had to put some in the fridge. The flavors are amazing! We like 3 stars and it was perfectly sweet and spicy chicken pad Thai. This business deserves some faithful customers. I look forward to eating there again!

Honestly I am beyond stoked for Maple Valley to finally have a legitimate Thai restaurant! Ive had the Kee Mao, Fried Rice, See Ew, and brown rice as a side. All of them were great! Not overly salty, plenty of Thai basil, good portions. As for the restaurant itself, it is evident an effort was made to create a relaxed, nice dining area. Very clean. They will be seeing A LOT more of me in the future.

The penang curry here had good flavor. The server was really nice and kept my drink full the whole time, which always makes me happy. The downside was the garlic chicken we got, it seemed to be about the quality of frozen food from Costco. So it was fine, but not great. Overall a good experience. Id be willing to give it a second try.

If its empty it doesnt meat the are bad. This restaurant is pretty new in the area and not that popular yet. We go here every Saturday and always have delicious fresh food. Low prices(even cheaper than fast food) , fresh food, clean and always have available seats what else do you need to spend some time with your friends or family

Weve eaten here about five times I really like the food. I love their fresh rolls with shrimp and their Tom ka guy is superb. My boyfriend get something different every time we go he always likes it. I wish the seating was a little bit more comfortable but besides that I really enjoy this place!

Absolutely the best Thai restaurant around. Spring rolls are made fresh from scratch and all ingredients always taste fresh and flavorful. Ive tried other Thai restaurants around town and this takes the cake by far. Give it a try and you wont go anywhere else.

Two stars because the lady was nice. I love Thai food so I had to try. I ate green curry lunch plate inside and took noodles home to my wife. I didnt enjoy my food, neither did my wife. Lack of flavor and sauce in recipes.

Love this place! Sticky rice dipped in a lovely peanut sauce compliments any meal weve had here. Service is quick. Orders are always correct. Food is good! Working our way through the menu one family meal at a time.

Good sized lunch portions, not the best in town but delicious all the same. Nearly empty during lunch, very prompt service

Friendly service, and good Thai food tucked away and a shopping center. Will be back when I am visiting my family in town.
