Hi My family and friends had a dinner at the restaurant on 5/27/17 My friends and I split the bill each of of paid $144.4 5days later I checked my credit card statement and I was charged $288.88 twice of what I had to pay. I called my friend and her credit card was charged the correct amount. I contacted the bin on the lake restaurant three times regarding the problem and they said they will take a message and have the manager contact me back which he never did. I had to go in person today and request to talk the manager. According to them I got charged twice by accident. I did not see any interest in them to try to fix their mistake until I came down took time off from work to drive all the way to the restaurant and the only thing I got in return was the tip removed in my check. I feel like they should try to be more respectfull and care more about the costumers. $288.88 is a lot of money to be charged on a single transaction this was not even the total amount of the entire dinner. Its been 10 days and none took the time to call me to let me know that they were looking into the issue, I feel very disappointed about this restaurant the food was ok but starting with the waiter that double charged my account and the manager T***, he did not take time to call me and had no interest in resolving my issue. This restaurant is very prestige and elegant to have this happen. Bad quality service

I have been looking forward to enjoying an evening on the patio at Bin on the Lake ALL summer! Finally Monday August 1st, I headed there with excitement to enjoy a crisp glass of wine while enjoying the great ambiance of this restaurant with a friend. To my surprise I was not aloud to go onto the patio to enjoy the happy hour they offer. To be honest, I was/am furious! Last summer I enjoyed plenty of evening happy hours with large groups of friends on the fabulous patio. I would rave about this place to friends and people all around the area. To come back this summer, and to find that I am unable to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio because its happy hour?! Why do they even offer a happy hour if apparently taking advantage of the happy hour makes you to cheap to be able to sit outside? In fact, enjoying happy hour on the patio is the only reason to go to Bin on the Lake, the regular menu is overpriced and the food is not that fabulous. May I also say that there were two people in the entire restaurant and nobody on the patio. Its a shame that Bin on the Lake has became to extravagant for there own good. Although this is a fabulous location, with good service (last summer!) I am sad to say I will not be returning. When you have a restaurant in Kirkland with a great view on a sunny day,...expect that people will want to sit outside!

The good and the bad: First, the good: I had the Salmon entree and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly. We had the mussels as a starter and they were pretty good as well. The bad: My wife had the Pork Tenderloin and it was overcooked. The rest of her plate was pretty much unremarkable. Our waiter was a seasoned one and did a pretty good job but during the middle and end of our meal was not available as much as you would normally expect. The restaurant was a bit under 50% occupied. The thing that bothered us the most was that there was an automatic 18% gratuity applied to the bill. We had read about this when learning about the restaurant. But, the tip was factored using the cost of our meals and the tax together. Thats a big no no. The tip really came closer to 23%. I would consider myself a good tipper and when all was factored in this evening, I would have tipped in the 15%-18% range (probably 18%). The restaurants tip was a fair amount percentage wise than we would have desired to tip. The tip should be our decision based on the level of service (TIPS: "To Insure Prompt Service). I know the difference was only a few dollars but this same math would be applied to all patrons regardless of the service. We will not be back.

I ordered the steelhead, but received the salmon -- an entirely different dish. What I got was OK, I didnt want to hold up dinner to fight the issue. My fish and my wifes pork tenderloin were both overcooked and under seasoned. The restaurant seems to cater to elderly Kirklandians who have money but I guess who dont know food. The restaurant is more pretentious than what they are actually accomplishing. Our waitress seemed very full of herself and didnt recognize when she was screwing up -- probably because she was working very hard to butter up a table of "whales" at the end of the restaurant. Still, what were we -- chopped liver?

Where to start...how about the stuffy lounge area with no air circulation and windows and doors nailed shut? Or how about being told that our group of 8, sitting alone in the stuffy side lounge were too loud? (Um, its not a library). Or being charged a service fee for two bottles of wine bought by two people ? In a bar? Strange. Would they have charged us a fee if we ordered separately? Service was lacking, we poured our own refills. When I advised the hostess that we were displeased with the auto-gratuity, she sent over a very hostile little weasel of a manager who aggressively defended the restaurant. Their loss...Im a 40% tipper.

Food was solid albeit a bit overpriced. Service (for a large group) was poor. They said they had a dozen oysters but came out with 6. They opened two bottles of wine and served it but they left and took another ten minutes before opening the white wine. When our entrees arrived they told one person they ran out of the dish he ordered. Why didnt they tell him earlier so he could have food with the rest of us?

Went here for mothers day a few weeks back with my daughters and had the loveliest brunch! Delicious mimosas, a colorful fruit plate, and entrees cooked to perfection. My younger daughter was a little miffed that the plates were smaller than say, The Cheesecake Factory, haha, but it was tasty and healthy - exactly what we needed! I have been here with my Husband, too, and their Halibut is fantastic.

Awesome food! We ordered a dish we didnt like but the waiter got us the ahi which was perfect and didnt charge for the other meal even tho we ate some of it. Great atmosphere and the waiters really take pride in their work and are really knowledgeable! We will definitely come back for another special occasion (over 50 mile drive)!
