My wife and myself were staying here initially three nights in the Executive Lake Washington suite for a surgery she was having next door in the 3000 building. Upon arrival we were slightly disappointed that the lobby was under construction and hard to allow the full experience as shown from the pictures online. The front desk made us feel at home and offered my wife a rose since it was Valentines Day as a great gesture. We were checked in with a key/cards and our vehicle off to valet promptly. The only downside to this particular room(419) is the distance from the front lobby. We opened the door and were instantly reassured we had made the right choice from the views and size of our rooms. Two bathrooms was great for our extended stay and the separate bedroom gave us a great feeling of relaxation and seclusion. The dual access balcony(bedroom or living room)put the hotel as our new favorite place to stay on the west side of Washington. Views of the marina are small yet visible however the lake is unreal close and large offering 160 degree views including the Olympic mountain range. The master bedroom/bathroom was large with amazing lake views from bed, however the toilet handle in the attached bathroom was broke(constantly running unless giggled) and the water pressure in the dual head shower was less then impressive. The jet tub made up for that along with the provided shampoo and body wash. We ordered room service twice from the Beach Cafe and it was great as expected. Our hotel staff was prompt to bring pillows, coffee, etc they even gave us a complimentary movie order (when the tv service was down). We enjoyed our stay so much that after 3 days we requested another nights stay and was quickly notified that it would be available. This made our stay even better allowing us total relaxation and comfort having a private 850sq ft two room hotel with very private balcony with seating for four. I will continue to stay here for business and vacation as needed. I strongly suggest choosing this hotel for an amazing stay in Kirkland on lake Washington.

Just lovely - wonderful service, rooms, and location. I would/probably will absolutely go back! The service was very friendly and answered my questions warmly. The bartender downstairs in The Living Room, Aziz, was instantly identifiable as an exceptionally nice human, and there were many regulars there talking with him. (The food there/at the Beach Cafe was all right, nothing to write home about.) The room was very clean and attractive, and the bed and chairs were cozy. I didnt pay for a view of the lake, but looking southward out at the marina at night (the time I was in my room anyway) and getting the light and warmth from the sun was maybe even better. (Caveat: if you are very sensitive to noise, the fitness place across the street can be a bit loud during classes.) Internet speed was great. The only thing I wished for was more towel hooks, a common hotel affliction. The amenities were fantastic: complimentary champagne on arrival, soup and cookies after 10PM "raiding the pantry", and, my personal favorite, free bikes available to ride into Kirkland. The ride is BEAUTIFUL and Kirkland is a wonderful place to walk/bike around, weather permitting. Probably my favorite day of the trip! (I will have to come back sometime when its not too cold to use their kayaks. Embarrassingly, I also planned badly on a holiday and did not actually use the Still Spa... I will say that the bathroom/products/robe were enough to make my own facsimile, which I needed after a great fitness class also courtesy of the hotels partnerships.)

We stayed there for few nights, and enjoyed the friendly service and good food at the restaurant (good coffee!). Room is nice enough, but we found the staff at the front desk not quite helpful. What completely threw us off was the incident on the day we checked out. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 7am, and planned to leave the hotel at 5:30am. We requested a morning call at 5:00am, which NEVER CAME. Luckily we woke up in time and rushed down to the lobby, and had to get to the back of the counter to find two of their staff FAST ASLEEP, with an alarm clock blaring next to them. It took the sleepy valet 15 minutes to find our car. It is not hard to imagine our frustration level shooting the sky. There was not a single apology or any expression of that sort, and we rushed out to catch our flight. One more thing was that there was a wedding taking place on Saturday night at a large tent on the hotel premises, which, we were not informed of at the time of booking (we booked only one week prior to our arrival). It went onto quite late at night, and we had a hard time sleeping - let alone our small children. Once the wedding was over, many people came to their respective rooms, chatting loudly in the hall way - perhaps drunk - laughing and making large noises. Will we stay there again? Most likely not.

I would like to thank the reservation manager Brandon Burgess for a Outstanding second night. My wife reserved a night for us on Valentines Day 2009 and it was nice night, but apparently it wasnt up to Woodmark Standards. When my wife filled out her customer questionaire , we received a letter from the Woodmark for another night stay. Mr.Burgess gave us a great room and the hotel staff was very attentive, we had a panoramic view of the lake and our breakfast was spot on. My wife is talking about booking at the Woodmark for our 10th wedding anniversary over the hotel we stayed at in Hawaii for our honeymoon, I have heard about that other hotel for 9yrs now and so has our friends. Now we have a new favorite hotel for our Washington Staycations! I recommend the Parlor Comedy club in Bellvue just 6miles away to top off the night. Thanks Again Woodmark and Brandon Burgess. AWFUL. The night we stayed at the hotel was lovely. We did not use any of the facilities other than the room to sleep in as we were attending an event elsewhere. We dont live far and try to make it to the Woodinville area for wine tasting often. We thought wed give this hotel a try. We declined the extra fees for rental etc. since we were not going to be on site for our stay. They charged us anyway and even after appealing it, never reversed the charges. The manager was very good at avoiding phone calls and not returning my messages. Here is the best part......Our credit card was charged for a visit we never made or stayed in the hotel several weeks after our stay. I left messages, e-mails with the manager....still...not return call and no reversal to my account. I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It is poorly managed and unprofessional despite its beauty

The Woodmark is a beautiful hotel full of luxury amenities while still maintaining a homely feel. Its like a 5 star bed and breakfast with the capacity and facilities of a grand hotel. Rooms are elegant and comfortable with all the amenities youll need right in your room. Beds are soft and pillows are plush. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean and have some of the softest towels and robes youll find. Onsite restaurants are excellent and free access to the onsite gym exceeds expectations. The hotel has gorgeous views of Lake Washington with free kayak rentals for hotel guests. Their late night raid the pantry is a unique and welcomed perk. This hotel is perfect for business stopovers, small conferences, weddings, or a weekend getaway. Ive stayed at thousands of hotels around the world and the Woodmark is on the top of list of my all time favorites.
