Where do I start....first off, when we got there, it was 3:25pm when my husband and I and my two children arrived at the restaurant, so not really a busy time of day. We were seated right away, and the waitress came over pretty quickly. The ambiance left a little to be desired, but as we were sitting by a window, I could mostly overlook the sticky floors and greasy table. After we ordered our food, it took about 20 minutes to get our food. Even though there were almost no people at the restaurant. While we were waiting for our food, I asked the hostess to clean up a nearby table, and to give us silverwear. A waitress came by and sullenly cleaned the nearby table, and flicked the crumbs off the table on to the already dirty floor, and then walked away. I waited to see if she would come back and sweep the floor. She did not, but went back to rolling silverwear even though there were no people in need to silverwear. Then I asked our waitress to get someone to sweep the floor because it was grossing me out. Apparently that wasnt part of her job. Then another worker came and half-assed the sweeping, leaving the floor only partially swept. All this time we were waiting for our food. When the food FINALLY came, it was good, so that was the only saving grace. Otherwise, this restaurant pretty much is suitable to people who want to come in a have a beer. I wouldnt really call this a restaurant, more of a bar with food.

I have visited this establishment twice and both times found the wait staff and greeters to be extremely pleasant and attentive. However, the bartenders I encountered both times were apparently former IRA. Both men were surly, distant, and clearly more interested in conversing with each other than with customers. Even with a practically empty bar, their ability to intently ignore empty glasses and unserved customers was impressive! Based on my experiences, Wilde Rovers bar staff have little interest in Kirklands casual vibe. So go there with friends and ask for a table. If rough and rude gives you a tingle, sit at the bar.

This place was a bit disappointing for me to be honest. I got the mac and cheese, and it was really lacking in all aspects...The cheese sauce and barbeque pulled pork had weak, watery flavors, the bacon was unflavorful and undercooked, and the scant breadcrumb topping didnt seem to be toasted. For the portion and lack of flavor, Id say it was overpriced. However, my husband really enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage. I thought the corned beef was pretty good, and the carrots were great - Id definitely recommend those. The service was fine, and the atmosphere is cozy. For lack of something better, Id try this place again.

Today I was taken to Wilde Rover Irish Pub & Restaurant for my birthday lunch. We had never been before. 3 of us got the corned beef boxty and it was TO DIE FOR. Absolutely SUPERB. The lamb stew was wonderful also, although I only had a taste. What was also AMAZING was the Celtic Seafood Chowder, the best seafood soup/chowder I have EVER had in my 55 years on this planet!! Now that we have discovered the Wilde Rover, it will definitely be getting more business from us! It is at the top of our lists of our FAVORITE places to eat. Us Maloneys LOVE Irish fare!!

The food here is good, but like most restaurants Ive been to in Kirkland, the service is sub-par. Expect to wait a while for your waiter/waitress to even show up at your table or to get your food. Of the three or four times Ive been, Ive either waited at an empty table for upward of 15 minutes for service or not gotten some portion of my order. The place can be loud. There are bar events, bands, etc. This is great if it is what you are looking for. Annoying if you were wanting a peaceful meal.

Overpriced, unfriendly staff, and drinks arent anything special. The only reason why Id ever visit here again is to hear the live bands. They have a great selection of live music on weeknights and weekends both of which provide for a nice atmosphere when its not overcrowded. They also have a great outdoor area and the summer but unfortunately both inside and outside gets really crowded really fast for the drinks not for the food and definitely not for the prices.

Waiter finally came by for the first time right at the end of happy hour. He dropped off or water and said hed be back to take it order. He took a happy hour order from the table next to us. Then he took out order but said we couldnt have any happy hour specials. Really not cool. We were there in plenty of time has anyone bothered to wait on us. I hope they move science cafe somewhere else.

Nice large restaurant with plenty of TVs for wide assortment of sports. Plenty of room to move around and mingle. They seem to have recently updated their menu to be much improved, with fun items like wild boar and rabbit pie that is fantastic. Strong drink menu, and lots of good happy hour options. Good location in downtown Kirkland, park up the hill to avoid ticket frenzy.

I found the food surprisingly good. Really like the boxty, but Ive also sampled the Guinness lamb stew and it was also quite good. Great to sit outside on a nice summer evening enjoying a brew. Can be loud if its a live entertainment night, but seems more than a few people go specifically for the music. Service is not very good, though. Would rate it higher if it were.

Fun bar in Kirkland. who would have ever thought to find such a great, live bar scene deep in Kirkland :)? There is a phenomenal band (really fun to listen to) on Sunday nights. A bit loud, but what can you expect in a bar with a live band. The drummer exhibits amazing musical versatility as well as circus like tricks while playing drums. really fun,

Ive lived in Kirkland a long time. Went to this place last night and was really disappointed. Menu claims they prepare from scratch as much as possible. That in mind, I ordered Halibut and fries (chips rightfully) I got FISHSTICKS at best. Band was supposed to start at nine we were told. Left at 9:55 not having hear a note played....

Sunday nights are the best time to go because that is when the Herding Cats play. The drink selection has nice variety and the food is delicious. Their new years party was a lot of fun. The New years party had a photo booth area, hats and noise makers on the tables and Herding Cats playing.

Ive been coming to Wilde Rover since early January, and havent really had a reason to go any where else. Well made drinks, good people behind the bar, food is fantastic, and honestly Ive never had a bad experience there. Wilde Rover has become a regular evening spot for many of my friends and I.
