Cactus is a great place for authentic Mexican food. Go during happy hour which is seven days a week Monday through Thursday its 3 to 7 p.m. Weekends it is 3 to 5 p.m. I personally love the Diablo shrimp on the happy hour menu its to die for. Also get chips and salsa its only $2 and theyll refill it over and over and the salsa homemade along with the warm chips. House Margaritas are pretty decent not the best but pretty good. During the summer try to get a table outside because the weather in The View is well worth it. The bar seating is for happy hour which is a pretty large area for bar seating, and kids are allowed in the bar area except at the actual bar which is rare in most restaurants. The staff is exceptionally nice and will accommodate just about any requests that you have. A definite must is the fresh-made guacamole I recommend asking it for spicy because they make it a little bit mild for all of the Madison Valley people like myself that are to White I cant handle spice. Its definitely worth checking out in Madison Valley especially during the summer right by the beach. Also the West Seattle location is prime for viewing and for great service.

Ive only been for brunch but the food is so good. Its definitely somewhere you bring your out of town visitors if you want that cliche LA vibe. Thats not necessarily a bad thing because the food and drinks make up for that. The Space: beautifully done with a great green room that is tastefully decorated. The front room is more vibe setting with low top tables, the bar, and high tops throughout. The back room is gorgeous with natural light coming in and normal two top. The Food: while the drinks are pricey at $14+ its expected for the scene. Ive tried: bye Felicia (its ok, and mostly a paleta stuck into a half served drink) and But, first coffee. That drink so good. For food, the chilaquiles are so good! The breakfast burrito is delicious and I always leave with half for later. My absolute favorite is the chicken and waffles. This place does it right! Cactus Madison Park is best.

Great food, great service. Overall it was a great eating experience there. I got their chicken fajitas and they were delicious! My friends and I were visiting from Denver. Who I believe was a manager there hear that we were visiting, at the end of our meal she personally brought to our table a dessert (flan). She stated it was "on the house" and thanked for visiting the restaurant. If you are looking for a restaurant with great food and excellent service PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE! they are

The restaurant is on the end of a quiet street, by a small bakery and a playground, with a view of the water. Its fairly calm outside, but inside Cactus is a flurry of activity. The service can be a bit slow on a busy day, but the portions are huge and well flavored. Its southwestern inching towards tex-mex, so dont come here for full on Mexican fare. But its tasty, and there are often roasted pumpkin seeds involved.

I went here many years ago. It was far less crowded and felt like a great find. The food was delightful, with interesting flavors and a very large exciting menu. I think that the attention to detail for the meals is happening. I think tourist love to be seen here. If I lived in the area, I would go and hang out for a cocktail, but it is not worth a drive or anything special. Moderate prices, and service is spotty

Amazing! I have to make myself not go here too often because I need to eat things other than breakfast tacos and migas. They make it hard though. I love everything on their menu. They do get packed, for good reason. I recommend calling in your order for pickup, but if you have the time hang out and enjoy they bustle of people coming in and out. These folks know what they are doing!

This must be "the" place to be on a Friday night in Madison Park. Oh, a Thursday too. Ive been both. The bar area is easiest to get a table, but still its busy, packed and loud. Luckily the food is delicious and drinks are great. I dont remember the food specifically (just that it wasnt bad). Its just not my first choice in that strip because its so busy.

It may come at a high price, but youll come away pleased with what you ordered if you make the trip out to Cactus looking for excellent Southwestern/Mexican style cuisine. If the prices scare you away, consider the happy hour menu. The guacamole and salsa are a treat in and of themselves, and the Margaritas are unique and tasty as well.

I came here for the first time for my friends birthday. Their jalapenos with goat cheese and bacon are amazing. Service was great and I felt well taken care of despite that it was a busy afternoon. Extra points for the extra special detail of putting a happy birthday message for my friend on all the menus that evening.

Excellent service. Great food with some unique twists Street parking is easy but the wait can be long on weekends. Theyll give you a buzzer and you can walk a block to the beach or shop a bit while waiting. Hip, trendy place. Best time time to get in fast is during a Seahawks game cause no one wants there during games.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Cactus. I had the Poblano Chile Relleno and it was the kind of meal which you dont want a mint afterward because you dont want to lose the taste of the last thing you ate. and also, you comment almost every bite at how incredible it tastes. Great atmosphere and great vegetarian options.

This place is amazing. The service is top notch. Let me repeat. The service is incredible. Hostess is efficient and polite, wait staff is courteous and quick. How often does that happen? They even gave us free dessert because it was our first time here. The food tastes excellent. Eat here. Give them your money.

While visiting Seattle, I had the opportunity to visit Cactus. As someone who hails from Los Angeles - arguably the best place for Mexican food - my experience at Cactus was quite good. Their service was fantastic and their atmosphere was welcoming. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

If you like americanized Latin food, go for it, pumpkin seeds in the rice? Asked what kind of meat they used in their carnitas tacos, and was schooled by the waitress "carnitas means pork in Spanish." Um no Sassy Sally it doesnt. Just stick to the mojitos. Thats all theyre good for.

Giant sloppy burritos that you have to eat with knives and forks. Tasty, too. Share your food or get half of it boxed. The prices look much more reasonable when you keep that in mind. The decor isnt that great, and the service was a tad slow, but everything else was good.

Fantastic place with reasonably priced options for brunch. Delicious Bloody Mary, and the carne asada tacos were fantastic. Service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is casual and well planned. What more could you ask for?

My favorite restaurant and hangout in Madison Park. Everything is right about this place. Super awesome food and drinks! The salsa will send you to heaven! They even have a decent patio. In the summertime this is the spot!
