My father and I found Lanna Thai by accident years ago and weve returned year after year because it is a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is unmatched as is the art and the food is the best Thai food we have ever found. We travel over thirty miles just for this food. The menu is extensive and we have never had a bad meal or experience. I recommend coming here with a group and all sharing plates because everything is superb. If you manage it, save room for dessert because they have some delicious plates that are both sweet and subtle. If you love Thai food this is a must restaurant. If you dont like Thai food; this is a restaurant that is likely to change your mind.

Lanna Thai has been our favorite Thai restaurant! Their food has always been fresh and cooked to perfection. The flavors and spices blend perfectly to make the most wonderful meal. The owners are always friendly and love to talk about their life in Thailand and share the history of their food and drink with you. The duck is cooked perfect with the right sauces and crispiness. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing and inviting for all events, you can dress formally or just come in from a day of running around town. We have gone to many Thai places and this is always our favorite!

This place is BY FAR the best Thai restaurant around. Its fast, unless you show up at the dinner rush, but even then it doesnt take that long. Its friendly. All the women serving you are super sweet and extremely nice. And who can say that the ambiance in this place isnt tight?!?! Cause it is. Oh yeah, the food. Its grubbin! Weve never had anything that wasnt delicious. If youre looking for a good bar experience and atmosphere, this probably isnt the place, although there is one. Having said that, do yourself a favor and visit this place. You wont be disappointed.

Went here are a Saturday evening, the place was half-full of people, which was fine. Ive had better Thai food in Seattle. Their food was okay/mediocre. The price was a bit high, probably about $2 more per plate than in Seattle. The plate portion was average (not big, not small). Notice their utensils didnt seem washed thoroughly (had soap/water spots), though not a big deal. We had to wipe them more clean with the napkin. Service was good/okay. The servers were friendly enough. They did give you a free ice cream if you show ID to prove its your birthday.

Ive been here many times but the two latest times have been very disappointing. The last time I went, I specifically asked for my dish to be vegan, but they ended up putting eggs in it. And the lady ended the call before I got the chance to ask her if she could repeat my order. I had to call the place again and Im glad I did because they didnt get my order right. Then today, I specifically said that I only wanted tofu and vegetables, with no eggs but when I opened the box, there was meat in it. Im very, very disappointed at this place.

Had ate dinner last night, I ordered Holy basil and my wife ordered Pad Thai with tofu, food came quickly. The holy basil was just warm, my wife ate her pad Thai, she was up all night throwing up and belly cramps. Thank goodness I didnt have any of the pad Thai, will not be eating our left overs! Used to eat here all the time when we lived in Everett, will never eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone, unless I didnt like them, then I would suggest the tofu pad Thai.

I tend to ignore how a Thai place does Pud Thai - if you mess that up, you have no business being a Thai place. Panang Curry is my test plate. Everybody else within 3 miles of Lanna cannot seem to get Panang correctly. Lanna does not get it 5-star rating right, but a solid 4-star rating. For lunch, I enjoy that they serve soup and tiny spring rolls as apps and a little ice cream dessert - for free! Those little things keep people coming. Price? Median reasonable.

Last time I was there. I ordered to go. I arrived, paid and the woman running the counter walked off. So another guy asked me if I had paid, holding my order. I said I did.. He held me up for an additional 2 minutes asking if I was the guy who ordered this and paid.. After the woman finally came back, he got his approval and I snatched the order from him, highly perturbed. This staff is lacking in candor and its not the first issue Ive had with them.

good atmosphere the traditional art was wonderful some dishes Ive tried were not far in taste from a Chinese buffet... i was disappointed to learn that unlike other four and five star restaurants in most cases when a dish is not of your liking they will accredit your money and serve u another dish or reimburse it completely and serve your next dish complementary this is not the case here you dont like it you still buy it.

Oh, so good, and beautiful and the women there are so nice. But the food is the best I have had at a Thai restaurant, it even makes my mouth water thinking of it, I have the #40 with shrimp and my husband changes everytime and we share crab Rangoon and spring rolls. He is from New York and used to walk by the authentic places and watch them make the spring rolls and ate them fresh and says these remind him of that.

Ive been here before and had a better experience. They are great for pad Thai or those wide gummy noodles ghat are the more popular dishes. This time I had an eggplant dish that probably doesnt get ordered as much. The eggplant was pure mush. The rest of the plate was great. The vegetables and beef, as well as the seasoning, were very good. Just be careful exploring the the more adventurous dishes.

The food and beverages are wonderful but the price was a little high. $17 for a plate is more spendy than some places in Seattle or Federal Way establishments. Overall though, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the cleanliness was superb. If youre looking for a beautiful establishment with great taste in their esthetics and food, this is a good spot to stop in at.

Located next to paint store, fumes carry over to restraunt. Overcooked Duck and chicken wings dry. After one bite sent back and was still charged for item. Server said put more sauce on it. Server has been unfriendly last three times. I had seafood entree made sick. Bad scallops Im thinking. Im not going here anymore and neither should you. Hope this is helpful

Always a traditional place that is enjoyable and relaxing. Service is fast and workers are friendly and ethical. Food is flavourful and many options are available for vegetarians and gluten free. Happy hour is 3-6pm and includes several discounted appetizers as well as beverages. I recommend trying their black sticky rice pudding for desert.

The food is good, but the service I experience on 2/19/08 was terrible. They didnt ask my date if he wanted anything to drink and after he finally flagged someone down for a pop it took them almost 10 minutes to bring it out. In addition, they forgot to bring us the appetizer that we ordered. Its going to be a while before I go back!
