This place is HORRIBLE! I do not recommend. Dont go there! My boyfriend and I went for dinner and he ordered some chicken dish and I ordered a veggie noodle dish. The veggies in my noodle dish were frozen veggies (they werent frozen in the dish, but still, poor quality). My boyfriend said his chicken was okay. Then, I took a bit and a piece of chicken was in my mouth. I specifically ordered a vegetarian dish because I do not eat meat - have been a strict vegetarian for years. When we called the server over, we were calm and told her what happened. She accused me of taking my boyfriends chicken and putting it in my dish even though the type of chicken was totally different. We eventually talked to the manager who was equally unhelpful - saying that they had checked the cameras in the kitchen (wtf?) and that there was no chicken put into my dish. There wasnt a lot in there, but one piece is too much for me. I wasnt even hugely upset that I had found the chicken, but the treatment I received frustrated me. I served tables for years and they handled this situation in a very unprofessional way. They wouldnt even take my dish off the bill. Horrible, horrible experience. They should be out of business.

Stopped in here one sunny day. We grabbed a seat on the patio. On a sunny day this is a great spot to take in the sun and people watch while not being too noisy. Lai Thai is just off the main strip in downtown kirkland with parking lots very close by. Tip: Park in the Kirkland Transit Center parking lot. Its free for 4 hours. We ordered two dishes, the BBQ Thai Chicken and the Yellow Curry Rice also with chicken. The yellow curry rice was delicious. The yellow curry added flavor to the rice while keeping it from ever becoming dry. Being my first time here I cant comment on the other rice dishes but this one was certainly worth getting. The BBQ Thai Chicken was so moist I would have to say it almost resembled rotisserie chicken. In a good way of course. It comes with this sweet and sour dipping sauce that really goes will with the chcken. Again I would certainly say this dish is worth getting. Also the pice for the two dishes was just under $25 which I would certainly call a bargain. I will certainly return here on the next sunny day when Im in the area.

Rarely do I come home and write a review. After taking my 4 y/o swimming I just wanted to grab some take out. My son was not on his best behavior while I was looking at the menu, and the gentlemen helping us was so calm, patient and told me not to worry about it. As a tired parent, this meant a lot. He even gave my son a lollipop which was a game-changer. He helped make a recommendation, took the order fast, got us some water while we waited and I had my food in probably 10 minutes. We are home eating now and the Pad Thai is amazing. The tofu has great flavor and texture (I got soft, not fried), its not at all greasy and oily, and theres no fishy taste - all things Ive experienced getting vegetarian pad Thai at other places. My son also put down 2 chicken satay in like 2 minutes saying they are his favorite. All in all, I had an extraordinary experience here. We will be back!

This is a great place for tasty Thai food. We ordered "Tropical Curry", "Spicy Lovers" and "Heavenly Beef". Each and evey one of them are done well. But the portiona are VERY small. We are not big eaters. Yet we ordered 3 items for the 2 of us and barely enough (we did eat a LOT of rice (at $1.50 per person) to fill the rest part of our tummy). We think the service is the killer at this place. There was no greeting at the door. No friendly smiles (dispite it was not a busy time when we were there around 3:30pm). Waited a long time just to get our water. What she cared was "are you ready to order?" All she did are very basic duties of taking orders, delivering them and collecting money. Nothing more.

Have had several good meals there in the past. Will never go there again after tonight. Absolutely the worst service Ive ever had. Party of 6 for dinner. Long wait to order. Then 35+ minute wait for food. Then they brought out 1 persons dinner. Thats right, only 1 dinner. Then 15 minutes later, after complaints, they brought out 4 more dinners. Thats right, not even the other 5! And 2 were cold and terrible. Then 5 more minute wait for 6th dinner. And to top it off, they had the nerve, the absolute gall to add 20% "automatic" gratuity to bill. This is outrageous. I will never go back there. And the wait staff couldnt have cared less. Terrible.

The best Thai restaurant Ive ever been to (and Ive been to hundreds). This accolade is not given lightly. I know of people that have traveled more than 40 miles just to come here. You cannot top Lai Thai. This is my go-to place and Im grateful to leave close to it. I know I sound like a fanboy, but I am. Order anything and it will be amazing. Ive been going here for about 10 years. Everyone Ive taken here has said it was the best Thai theyve every had. Amazing... this is what food can be.

Food was ok nothing spectacular. Why I gave this place a bad score was that, the service was not the best, had water and they only filled it right before we were going to leave and secondly was that they added more to our bill. We had even left a tip but they charged us 5 dollars more on top of that when we checked our bank account. Unfortunately I dont have the receipt anymore so I cant go in and dispute the charges but at least I can let others know.

We had a really poor experience today. In addition to the fact that the we didnt like the food at all the service was bad. We waited so long to order, even my coke took 15 minutes. At the end they included 18% gratitude automatically even though the menu says they do it for parties for 6 and more. My chicken in the soup was under-cooked. When I was about to pay he asked me for my pin, this simply never happened anywhere else.

This is the best Thai food Ive ever had, certainly the best in kirkland. Fantastic vegetarian fare, low prices, and a genuinely kind wait staff who know me by name have made this my first stop whenever I come back to my hometown from college. Top recommendations: phad see iew with a side of peanut sauce, green curry, radh nah, garlic fish.

Just picked up my to-go order. I ordered Chicken Phad Thai, 3 star, no bean sprouts.. Received Chicken Phad Thai, 2 star, with bean sprouts... the chicken was still juicing pink! Very undercooked. I didnt even try eating it. Very disappointed because Im too busy at work to get anything else. Wont be returning.

I go to Lai Thai very often! My favorite dishes are Simply Fried Rice with fried tofu, or Pad See-ew with fried tofu. Every asian restaurant I go to, I try their fried rice & it doesnt compare to Lai Thai! Their peanut sauce is also very tasty, I cant get enough. Staff is kind and generous to me & others.
