Worst Thai food I have ever experienced... And Ive had a lot. We started with the spring rolls, which werent necessarily bad. But they werent anything to rave over and the sauce for them was unusual. It tasted like it was just corn syrup with some pepper flakes and garlic. So far the dinner was not bad, but not great. Then the entrees came. I believe we ordered the Broccoli Beef and the Cashew Chicken. I say "I believe" because we didnt end up getting to eat it so I honestly cant be sure if it was those two items or the Pad See Ew. In any event, when the food came I was very confused. Both dishes had a sewery, rotten dishes smell and they tasted about the same. I can honestly say I had never tasted anything that bad before that moment. After we realized we could not eat that awful food, we went up to the front to pay, hoping wed only have to pay for what we ate... But that was not the case. When we told the cashier (maybe owner?) that wed like to pay and leave, she seemed confused and kept asking about the food and why we didnt like it. I told her that Ive had a lot of Thai food before and it never tasted like that... and she seemed to misunderstand and think I said I didnt have it before and she then told us that they cook with a lot of garlic and soy sauce, thats probably what we didnt like. I told her it didnt taste like garlic or soy sauce (I didnt mention the sewery taste, because there was another customer waiting on their to-go order and I didnt want to be rude.) She kept making a big deal about us not liking the food and then went to our table to taste or smell our food (were not sure which) and she came back and said that everything was good and they use fresh vegetables. My boyfriend replied, "I didnt say it wasnt fresh, I said it smells awful." I said okay, can we just pay? She finally said that shed let us have one item for free. Only she picked the one item that we didnt hate: the five dollar appetizer. No, not either of the two ten dollar entrees that we didnt eat more than half a bite each. Ugh.

Sad to report, last night was the last time well dine here. During our last visit our meal rang up to $40.00+ dollars for a $32.00 meal (per their menu). We questioned the bill and the owner/waiter said It was calculated correctly. We accepted it that maybe we recalled the prices wrong and went home. Last night we tried again. We didnt even remember the pricing issue from our previous experience and ate our food. We ordered 1 appetizer $7.75, 1 main course $12.00 and an order of fried rice $11.00. After the bill (not itemized) was set at our table, we were shocked, $40.00+! So we got a menu and calculated the total ourselves, it was $31.00, not $40.00 - $9 dollars over again. We questioned the owner and showed him his own menu and he shook his head like he agreed, then said the bill was correct, he stuck by his bill (difficult to understand him and he pretends not to understand you). Then I wrote down the 3 items on a napkin with the prices next to them and added them and clearly he could see he had overcharged us. He walked away and mumbled. He walked up to the counter, and brought back a calculator and said he charged us correctly. I said you overcharged us $9.00 dollars. He returned with a $5.00 bill and some change. We took our 5 dollar bill and left. He kept $4.00 dollars of our money even after we confronted him. His miscalculations now appear to be intentional. Note, one way he increases your bill is to bring a cup of white rice with your meal, expect to pay $1.50 for it even though you didnt order it and dont eat it. (That makes $10.50 in over charges per meal) I went to the Better Business Bureau website today to log a complaint and this business name and address couldnt be found. I will be reach out to them directly and ask what can be done to inform other customers of this apparent over charging practice.

We eat at D-Thai about once per month. I LOVE their ginger prawns (which is on the menu) but often order ginger chicken (which is not on the menu.) The service is always friendly. If you order take-out and wait, the front is a little cramped. But the real fun is sitting and reading the jokes clipped from calendar pages, newspapers, etc. that are under the glass at each table. Our kids will intentionally choose a different table to sit at so we can read different jokes (they are all along the line of the Farside.) We love getting food to go, which always hot and not too spicey. Every dish is fantastic, but our favorite is always chicken pad thai. We have tried other Thai food restaurants, but this one ranks up with our favorites. Plus, its in Canyon Park so its close to home.

It took me 18 months to get around to eating here. With uninspired, cookie-cutter Thai restaurants everywhere, I despair of ever finding a good one. I dont yet know if this one is a good one, but the spicy beef noodle soup I had today was very good, fairly loaded up with beef, and the broth was marvellous. I requested a spice level of four out of five, which really hit the spot. It was the perfect antidote to a cold, wet day.

It is just me or do these people dont know what Good Thai food is. I can tell you that Ive eating at many Thai restaurant and this one is by far the worst. No flavors and crappy food. I couldnt finish my Patseewu. Their soup is eatable but I will never go back there. I would suggest trying there food then try another Thai restaurant and youll know what I am talking about.

Restaurant was cold, outright cold, server took our order and came back with our plates, the only thing stopping her from dropping them in our laps was the table. I ordered noodles and got top ramen swimming in bland coconut soup with a few slivers of chicken. Never saw the server again, had to ask the cook for the bill, he had to ask us what we ordered. Wont go back.

I ordered the Pad See Ew and to go...so maybe its different when you sit down in the restaurant, but it was pretty terrible. There was about a 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom of the to go box. It was pretty flavorless and just EXTREMELY oily! Too bad...it is really close to my work but I will not be going back especially for a $12 lunch special.

I like the place, they have a few dishes that are hard to find in other Thai restaurants. The staff is friendly and remember you from your last visit. The owner even recognized me at the airport and made a point to say hi.

The soup here is to die for! !! Ive had 4 different kinds and each one is better then the last. Ordered a panang curry tonight and it was delicious. Place is a little pricier then you would expect but its worth it.
