We have been eating at the Thai Hut at least once a month for the last few years. Since eating there any time we eat Thai anywhere else it is disappointing. I would suggest getting tofu in your dish, they do an amazing job preparing their tofu. Their prices are excellent and their dishest are big enough to split. I think whoever said their food was inconsistent probably doesnt eat there often. Sure you can tell a little difference between the cooks, but its always really good. The couple times Ive eaten there and it wasnt quite as good as others it was still way better than any other Thai I have found in Washington. And Ive eaten at lots of Thai restaurants my friends have raved about as the best in their city. The only thing that I think they could improve on is the quality of their beef is not the greatest. I think they use a roast instead of steak which is understandable with their prices but its a little tough. I just stick with Chicken tofu or their red curry duck when Ive got some extra money. Their Panang Curry is so creamy and delicious. Just give it a try, and make sure if you dont like spicy food to ask for a 1 or 2 star, cause they dont discriminate with their spices like most Thai restaurants. But if you like spice, the 3-4 star is perfect. Enjoy!!!

This place is just OKAY as far as Thai food goes. We ordered the fresh rolls, which were enjoyable. Ive had better, but they were good. We also ordered the pad thai, and I liked it as well. It wasnt greasy, as pad thai can sometimes be. I wish it had come with a side of lime, bean sprouts, and peanuts. The last thing we ordered was the ginger something or other. It was pretty good! It had big slices of ginger mixed into the meat and veggies, which was a big plus. Also, the brown rice is really unique and yummy. Onto my criticisms. The serving sizes of both of our entrees was not very big. We both left unsatisfied, and we arent pigs either! Major criticism, as everyone has stated: the SERVICE. Granted they were pretty busy, and they only have one waitress waiting tables. Maybe they need to get some extra help for their dinner hours? We asked for hot tea, it never came. But it was still on our bill! Not cool! No hot tea with Asian food? Thats the worst! Also, the place is really cold and drafty. They have a little space heater, but it doesnt help. The only reason we might return is because there arent any other good Asian places in the harbor. That isnt a good reason... I also doubt theyre reading these reviews because they dont seem to be trying.

I lived in Los Angeles for four years and never found Thai food better than this. The waiting staff is quick to answer questions about dishes. A variety of Thai dishes, ranging from common to unique, can be ordered on a spiciness scale. Be warned, a four is not for the faint of heart! My familys favorites include the kee mao noodles, the fresh spring rolls, Tom Kha soup and various rice curries. The restaurant building is a converted historic home, with indoor seating in the front rooms and some outdoor patio seating. Two limitations of Thai Hut are that they are not very flexible about customizing orders, and that there is not space for large groups to dine together. If you have a large group, I would recommend calling in and ordering the food to go.

Ive been here a couple of times now, and both experiences were great. The first time I went with my daughter-in-law, and she was quite impressed. Having lived in Thailand for several years, she knows what to expect in good Thai food. My husband went with me the second time, and he loved it as well. Wed come more often, but we have to take a ferry as well as pay for a toll-bridge just to get here, so we save it for special occasions. (Tomorrow is a special occasion and Im bringing my daughter here for lunch!) My favorite at any Thai restaurant has to be the Fresh Rolls, and the ones they serve here are the best Ive ever had. Id highly recommend Thai Hut to anyone who enjoys great quality Thai food.

Before my buddy moved we ate lunch here at least once a week. Always got Pad Thai, 2 stars, Chicken or Pork. Dont even listen to the people that say the service is terrible, it can get busy, but the people there are friendly and if you go in there with a good attitude and are friendly to the employees theyll show you the same attitude. Theyre always joking with us and they dont even give us menus, they know what were gonna order! The food is great, went to an expensive thai restaurant and the $15 Pad Thai was terrible! For the price, this is great food, and the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. This place is where its at!

Wonderful and simple place. Small and cozy, very friendly staff. Each order was made one at a time so they arrived one after the other, but quickly. I found that to be a sign of quality. Food was delicious and big enough to have leftovers and are priced very reasonably. My first time there and I plan on returning for more. Had the Red Curry with chicken and I loved the flavor. Had **Medium heat and was perfect!! If youve never had Thai or curry, give this place a shot.

This place is a favorite of my fiance and myself. I always get the Pad Thai, its so delicious I cant ever convince myself to try anything else! My fiance loves the Thai Noodle Soup. Our orders are always correct and the service is prettt good. It can be pretty busy during peak hours, but the staff always seem to be busting their butts to help their customers as best the can. We order takeout often, too, and its always a great experience.

I have never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently amazing, and service is great. It has such a fun homey feel to it that really compliments the beautiful water view you can have from it. I recommend getting a thai tea in the summer and sitting on the deck outside to drink it!!

I love this place and eat take out regularly. The egg rolls and Tom yum are amazing and typically I just make a meal of them for myself. But I have also had and loved the pad Thai and kee mao noodles. Not sure you can go wrong with anything here. Everyone is also very nice when I come in.

The flavor, texture, happiness Ive been missing. Golden Cashew Nut Chicken, Hot Garden veggies with sticky rice... Best fresh herbs, spice, expertly prepared ingredients with mouth-pleasing shapes. Fun and happy experience. Another Red Hook and thinking, "yes, Ill be back"

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I found - the food is 2nd to none. I like it hot and spicey but even when I had to compromise for the group, I was thrilled that even mild was full of flavor. It is worth the wait, the drive - doubt you will be disappointed.

Fast, efficient service even when they are busy. You can always count on a dish being the same as it was last time. Very good at getting spicy levels accurate. Great for an quick and easy take out. Loved it every time. And their prices are more than reasonable.
